I have been eyeing The Dear My Glass Tinting lipstick line for quite some time so when I spotted these on Jolse at sale I ordered one immediately ( I wished I had ordered more though 😖)
The concept of these lipsticks is unique. You can create your own customized lipstick by separately choosing the case and the lipstick bullet of your choice in the color & design you want
There are 20 different cases in the line (matte and glossy ) along with 20 shades of lispticks
These lipsticks as the name suggests are for imparting a tint on the lips. The formula is sheer and glossy
I chose Love flamingos case because I found the design to be super cute. As for the lipstick bullet I picked the shade RD304.
The lipstick case and bullet come in separate boxes, you have to fix the bullet in the case yourself ( its pretty easy )
The design is very sleek and pretty. Make sure you roll the lipstick all the way back in before placing the cap on top. (I damaged the lipstick due to my carelessness)
The bullet contains 3 gm of lipstick which is 0.5 gm less than standard lipstick. I am sad because I like the shade of this lipstick and I dont want to run out and happy at the same time because this means I might use up the whole bullet before it expires ( dilemma 😕)
One of the major drawback with moisturizing lipsticks is that they transfer easily. My trick to prevent smearing and smudging is to apply lipstick in the centre of the lips and then blend it out with my fingers that way I get tinted lips and the color does not transfer
I love sheer formulas as they give room to error and clumsy application 😂. This particular shade is somewhat between opague and sheer. The coverage is buildable. I personally prefer a single swipe of this lipstick as it gives my lips a wash of color without going too over the top.
I have noticed that layering this lipstick accentuates texture on the lips in an unpleasant way. This formula has somewhat waxy/balmy feel to it. It glides on smoothly. I recommend storing this is in cool place like fridge in extremely hot weather because my bullet became very mushy at 40 C°
If you shy away from wearing bright/bold lip colours but still want to wear red I recommend you to try this out,
For me this lipstick has reached HG status and I have been reaching for this more often than my regular Wet N Wild MegaLast lipstick .
The lipsticks retail for 9.07 $ on jolse while the the cases are for 6.07 $ on Jolse . On a discount you can probably get this for about 12$. This is actually a little pricey for a lipstick but the case is actually very sturdy and high quality plus its kind of special edition
If you have nick for collecting cute things then you should probably add this to your collecting because the cases are super cute.
