MAKEUP:PAL DAY TIME 4 STEPS NATURAL SKINCARE

Being enrolled in medicine comes with its own perks, you can never have enough time because very spare time that you get is either spent catching up on the sleep that was lost due to studying or is spent catching up on the chores that need to be done.
being the skincare addict that i have become i want my skin to look flawless at all times but what to do when i have an evening/morning rotation and cant afford the luxury of skin pampering

i was super excited when i received this cool MAKEUP;PAL simplified skincare sample sized foils in my mail .which BTW carries all basic skincare products one would need in a hurry

there are a total of 4 foils. each contains a separate product in it .


Step 1: Toner brightening balance


this is a slightly opaque toner which has little to no scent. ( I detected a faint floral scent but almost negligible) . It spreads easily and absorbs immediately into the skin. This restores the moisture balance of the skin which was lost after cleansing


Step 2 : Lotion Brightening


this smells mildly of roses( the scent is not artificial). The texture is very light and liquid-y so this absorbs into the skin after a few pats I have noticed that this brightens the complexion after

Step 3 : Cream white tone up


this has to be the  best brightening cream I have ever used. Firstly this smells of farangipani ( my favorite flower btw) secondly this just blurs out the pores, smooths out all imperfections on the skin and makes the skin instantly bright. I can totally skip wearing foundation / bb cream after wearing this cream. Its spreads evenly on the skin and leaves semi matte finish. If Makeup:pal ever decided to sell this cream separately I am going go be their one loyal customer 😉


Step 4 : Sunblock


the sunblock is a little on the heavier side and gives luminous glowy complexion. This does bot leave white cast nor does it has any scent so this is perfect for flash photography. This contains maximum sun protection SPF PA+++

Altogether I totally love this new skincare concept by MAKEUP:PAL . Its super convenient for people who have tough work routines
the packaging is cute and slim so this fits easily into purse or pocket moreover if you are going on a short 2-3 dats trip you can take this along with you. Not to mention this follows the airplane safety guidelines so this perfect to take it along with you on a flight


Each foil contains 1.5 ml of product which is good enough to be used twice 😍.


this comes in box of 10 and retails for 20$ each. Totally good value for your money particularly when you have four skin care products in one leaf

[Review] Skinfactory skincare and lip tattoo

Skinfactory is korean brand which makes interesting skincare products . There PR team was kind enough to send me a few products to try recently. today I will be reviewing Some of the products from my pr package



SKIN FACTORY TATTOO LIP ESSENCE in Sweet Pink

Quantity: 15 ml
You must have heard of mood lip glosses. The one which change color on application. Well this is lip product is something like that its clear and transparent and on application it slowly turns pink and eventually a bright fuchsia colour.This is fool proof all in one lip product which  acts a lip condition, lip gloss and lipstick. The packaging is just like a regular lip gloss so it makes the application easier. Pretty good if you are a  beginner and just starting with makeup . What I love about this product is that it has a sweet raspberry candy scent. It imparts color and moisture to the lips. Even when the glossy effect vanishes after a few hours (2 hrs to be more precise) there is a beautiful pink tint left behind on the lips

Skin factory morning recipe mask

Masks which come with exfoliating pads and multiple steps are my favourite because they just simplify the while skincare routine and are very handy to carry around. When you are on a move. This skin factory morning recipe mask is amazing. It has 3.steps to follow




Step 1:  I  massaged my face for 1 min with the light pink cleanser which smells amazing btw. There is adequate amount of product. (enough to be used twice at least for my face)


Step 2: I moved onto the cleansing pad. One side is smooth while other is rough and dotted for exfoliation I usually exfoliate my face at night so this was entirely new for me and I totally enjoyed this. Made my makeup application so smooth afterwards.the fibers of the pad are gentle but firm so they provide thorough exfoliation. You can just slip your fingers in the mitts and rub your face gently in Circular motion.
Remove so much dead skin that I was embarrassed to realized how badly my skin needed exfoliation


 step 3 : Finally onto the moisturizing part. The sherbet ice cream, I was a bit sceptic about wearing this as my skin breaks out quite easily but luckily no reaction or pimples so far . Its cooling and powder blue in color. It spreads easily and absorbs fast.

 I totally love the concept of this 3 step morning recipe mask.  I think this is perfect for travelling , camping . Would totally repurchase




 Skin factory night routine

This is just like the Skin factory morning recipe mask the only difference being that this make has only two steps rather than three
Step 1: The exfoliating pad is just similar to the morning recipe mask. I really enjoyed the smooth and calming skin massage / exfoliation I got after using this.
Step 2: The ampoule was nice. It sank in quite easily and made my skin feels soft . No greasy oil after feel

[Review] Cre8skin Salmon oil cream

Ever since I have dipped my toes into Korean makeup and skincare i have been enjoying some really unique ingredients ad the benefits that come with it like, snail secretion, bee venom, donkey milk

The cream that I am review today has a unique ingredient too and its salmon oil
Do you know that salmon oil is rich In omega 3 fatty acids, and anti oxidants like vitamin A and Vitamin E so that means it Slows down aging , cell damage , prevent wrinkles and moisturizes

Packaging: This comes in a cylindrical tin/ can and inside this a very chic looking gold container is placed which contains the cream and a transparent spatula.

Quantity: 80ml

I don't like fish, I just cant stand the smell of it so I was kind of afraid when I received this cream . I was sceptic if I would be able to stand the smell of fish on my face but to my utter surprise this smells so fresh and nice nothing close to a fish . Hehe
 the texture is very light in weight and easily absorbs into the skin without leaving sticky residue behind. I think this is suitable for all skin types as I applied this to my oily skin and my skin didn't break out.

I cant comment much on wrinkle reducing properties as one has to use this consistently for longer duration to see the effect but this cream definitely brightens the skin makes it plump and hydrated plus the scent is so soothing. I think I am going to swap my tea tree cream with the cre8skin salmon oil cream for now as I quite like the performance of this cream
I personally would recommend wearing this at night time so that one can get the maximum benefits over night and wake up with healthy glowy and plump looking skin in the morning

Nature republic aloe cleansing gel cream

My skin has thankful gone back to normal and luckily the scars have reduced considerably. So I am now back to. Using cleansers which reduce oil production. One of the products which is still a part of my skincare routine is this gel cleanser by nature republic. If you look through my cabinet you might be very amused to see the number of cleansers/makeup removers I currently own Its insane .I think I don't have to buy another cleanser for next two years now 😊

Back to the review, I purchased this cleanser from the skinmaskaurade exhibition. I feel like kicking myself now for not purchasing more things from the exhibition( major regrets) this cleanser comes in a mint green squeezable tube which holds about 150ml of product inside. The nozzle was sealed when I purchased this. This has a green cap which does not close properly.( I think I got one with faulty lid)

Now onto the real deal which is inside the tube. Nature republic markets this product as a makeup remover which hydrates and moisturizes skin. When I removed the seal I was met with a very pleasant fresh scent of the cleanser. On squeezing the tube gel came out . The gel is clear and has a watery feel to it. It doesn't lather up at all and has a bitter taste to it. After using this the scent remained on my face for sometime.
 Now Nature republic recommends to massage this gel  onto the face to remove makeup and impurities and then wipe it off with a tissue and then follow it with a foam cleanser. I improvised on the instructions a bit and after massaging this on my face I removed it with water. Here's what I noticed this didn't completely remove my makeup. The base makeup was definitely gone but traces of eyeliner, mascara and liquid lipstick were still there for reference I use non water proof mascara.

Since makeup removing properties are not on par with my Garnier and Bioderma Micellar water I have decided to use this as a regular face wash and I am very pleased to tell you guys that this has helped my skin so much. It removes the oil from my face so well moreover my sebaceous glands have started behaving themselves. This does hydrate and moisture the skin unlike many of face washes I have tried in the past this does not leaves my skin overly dry and flaky.

As a makeup cleanser this product has some deficiencies but as a face wash / face cleanser I think this is a good product
This retails for 6$ on nature republic's official website and can be purchased in Pakistan for about 900 Pkr.

I have been a smart shopper lately so every time I go out I think twice when purchasing something. And I am happy to report that for the past couple of months I haven't bought any makeup/skincare item on a whim.

Since I am a contact lens user I switched from optiplus contact lens cleaner to Renu contact lens cleaning solution lets see how this works for both my eyes and contact lens
After trying out the bioderma sensibio h2o micellar water I have been quite curious about the performance of garnier micellar water so I bought a small bottle of it to test out. I will post a detailed review on it soon also I might do a comparison post on the two.
Moving on I bought another cleanser from the skin maskeurade exhibition. First impressions: This smells so good . I also got some samples so lets see if I like them or not

I also purchased Maybelline baby lips lip balm a staple for every purse. And since summer is here I picked out a fun green colored nail enamel . And a pen eyeliner. Some nail enamel removing pads and the color changing lip oil. Rhinestone Bobby pins and a garnier sample size face wash that I got with a purchase of a hair dye .

The skin maskeurade exhibition

Its so hard to find original Korean/Japanese makeup and skin care in Pakistan. And even if you luckily do locate an online store the prices are exorbitant. Recently an online store called "The SkinMaskeurade" held an exhibition at Chaye Khana Islamabad to introduce the Korean and Japanese skincare to the masses.

When I arrived at Chaye Khana I was directed to a the exhibition room where I was greeted warmly by the organizers and the people working behind the online store. The place was decorated with a lots of flowers and fairy lights. All the skincare products where sorted out on the bases of skin types which made it super easy to locate the products. There weren't many makeup products to choose from but skincare section was well stocked. All the cult favourite and popular brands and products were there. The prices in my opinion were a bit high but then I think this can be justified if you add the custom duty, shipping cost and the profit.

  The owner Ms Faiza and her team were well prepared and had knowledge about all the products showcased at the exhibition. They guided everyone on choosing products. After looking around and taking a lot of pictures. I picked out an aloe cleanser by nature republic. Two free samples were added to my purchase
I had a lot of fun at the exhibition. Besides I got an idea about the products bottle size so that next time when I place an order I wont be disappointed.

I am so glad that Korean makeup and  skincare products have finally made it to the pakistani shores
