Lip balms are a staple in every women's purse  even if  you wear minimal makeup I am sure you own a lip balm. For me Lip balm remains a product that is constantly repurchased through out the year.

Not all Lip balms are made equal . Some provide hydration , some provide color , some have both hydration and pigment and then there are some meh lip balms that have fancy price tag and cute to look at packaging but the lip balm inside is something that makes you look more chapped and dry like dry prunes

Maybelline baby lip balm has been making popularity rounds in the beauty blogging world for some time now. It has been getting both rare-views and hate-views too.  So when I ran out of lip balm I decided to plunge into the deep waters and purchase this lip balm
The packaging is cute  2$ or 249 PKr

Packaging:

The packaging is cute and quite eye-catching I must admit. The tube is a small enough to be grown into a small clutch or purse. The cap is secure . This lip Balm has a twist up mechanism so this makes it hygienic. I absolutely hate those products where you have to dip your fingers in .

About the product:

This smells like berries, the scent is so delicious. Now as you can see this looks os vibrant and red in the tube but on application it imparts  a sheer wash of color which Is not too much buildable on multiple swipes. There are specks of gold glitter in this lip balm  but don't panic they are too small to be visible or feel gritty on the lips.  it  applies evenly on the lips and after hrs( without drinking and eating) it disappears leaving the lips smooth and moisturized. One of the best part in my opinion is that this Lipbalm has spf 20 so not does it makes the lips soft it also protects them form the damaging  rays

Beware guys there are a lot fakes circulating online and in the market so make sure you are safe from the counterfeit products as they can pose hazard to your skin

Hello
The holy month of Ramadan is almost here and I am so excited 😃. Even though it has been over a month since i got measles my skin has not come back to its normal pattern. So my there has been some major changes skincare routine to deal with the dry flaky skin.

Before I share the products with you guys here is a request. If you haven't got measles as of yet please get vaccinated because trust me adult measles are more severe than childhood measles. The disease is very exhausting and takes a very long time to recover. The sign and symptoms are severe and more pronounced. And the measles scar take a long time to disappear so just save your self from all the trouble and get vaccinated. As vaccination gives life long protection
Ok back to the original post. I will start of with cleanser first. My skin is normally oily. So I use cleanser which reduce oil production and combat acne but as my skin is now very dry I have switched to a hydrating cleanser by nature republic. Now this is basically a cleanser to remove makeup but honestly jt was not doing a good job at removing makeup so now I use this as a face wash. This aloe cleanser leaves the skin soft and moisturized.

Moving on to makeup removers i like to switch between bioderma sensibio H2O micellar water and the Garnier micellar water. Both are gentle on the skin and remove makeup without much effort.
To achieve smooth, flake free skin I use a very mild and gentle green tea scrub by ST.Ives. This is has such fine round granules which are non abrasive and very gentle on the skin. Plus the exfoliate the skin quite thoroughly.
For moisturizer I like to use oriflame tea tree moisturizer during day time and at night I use some thing more hydrating so stelatopia cream by mustella is my choice. Both moisturize the skin well without leaving an oily film.

Even though my skin is dry I like to wear a mud mask once every week, currently i am using the one by freemans ( oatmeal and avocado version)

I like to spritz my face with rose water during the day. This makes my face look dewy and fresh.
Lastly I am enjoying the scent of Maybelline baby lips lip balm in berry crush. This unfortunately doesn't leave a tint on the lips but does keeps my lips soft and smooth
That's all for my current routine. Would you recommend any skincare product I should try out?

If my memory does not fails me I remember that the first post it posted on this blog was on a pressed powder by Maybelline. I was so excited to share my thoughts on a newly released powder back then. That's when I first plunged my feet into the world of cosmetics.

Funnily the post I am sharing today is on another Maybelline pressed powder in same packaging and price range, but with a different name. It is the Maybelline super white fresh powder. Why do most of Maybelline products have frightfully long names?

Price:550 pkr
Quantity: 9 gms

The powder is cased in the same sturdy rectangular slim compact with a small square sponge.the only change to the design I that the mirror in the compact I a lot bigger than the clear all in one powder.

The super white fresh range comes in five shades and only two of them are available in pakistan. The sale girl accidentally gave me the 2nd shade I.e natural which I was afraid would be dark for my complexion but luckily when I applied it to my face. It matched my skin color quite well

This powder has spf 34+ which is good.and also one of reasons I believe it gives brightening effect to the skin. Its not chalky nor does it oxidize to an unhealthy orange color
It has smooth texture. The powder is finely milled and provides light to medium coverage(depends on how much you apply it to your face) . This can be worn on its own or dusted over a foundation for a matte finish

One of the best thing about this compact is that it comes with an option of refills. I spotted refills at Daraz for400 pkr

I decided to post a picture of all the three Maybelline powders I own.

i have been feeling depressed lately and what i have observed is that i try to reduce the stress by retail therapy. so a recent trip to super market resulted in purchasing a lot of products but i am happy that i still managed too keep my head and bought useful products that i will be using this year

i purchased the Maybelline super white fresh powder as i am tired of seeing my old pink Maybelline compact so for a change this looked like it would be easy to carry in my college purse for touch ups

originally planned to buy the Freeman black charcoal and sugar mask but the sale girl convinced me try out this instead so glad i listed to her

also for my oily skin this fresh smelling vaseline lotion seemed like a wise choice so it ended up in my shopping cart

i have been having an few pimples popping up so i went back to my trusty acne medicated soap bar. and i found a very cute rose shaped candle on a book store so it was impossible to resist this cutie,
the deodorant and vibrant blue nail enamel were totally bought on  a whim

thats all for the month of February will i be able to control my shopping habits next month ?

hello

i am back with another life update post, i love doing these kind of posts, give me a chance to write about something other than makeup reviews

i have been trying my best to keep up with my new year resolutions this year. and one of the resolution was to curb my makeup buying habit, so far i have only bought a mascara but who knows i might go into an online shopping frenzy again

i did placed an order at daraz.pk but this time instead of shopping for makeup and well clothes i bought my self headphones a cute badminton racket mp3 player and a micro SD card to go with it

also i am very happy to announce that i have finally hit pan on my maybelline compact powder after a use of 2 years .i also managed to finish a lipgloss which is a big achievement since  i hate liglosses this one is by makeup revolution and its a pretty cute nude pink color. you can read review here
i have also used half of my makeup revolution lipstick in atomic red, essence sheer and shine lipstick in bff and MUA power pout in rendezvous

i also did a mini haul and purchased these M.A.C rip off brushes from a local cosmetic store
so far they haven't shed and are very soft . funny part i dont have a highlighter to use with my fan brush so next makeup product in my wishlist is definitely a highlighter . any suggestions girls???
i also purchased a midi ring and a flower shaped studs and a beauty blender dupe for 200 rs, super cheap right !!

i got rivaj pore strip on a whim lets see how it performs

here is attempt at making paratha :(
and fried egg for breakfast though i might as well share that with you guys

that's all for now , until next post update
bye

love

This is my very day routine for applying makeup when getting ready for college every morning I am an extremely lazy person so this takes less than 5 minutes

In my opinion this is perfect for teenagers, for college or when you want to look presentable without a lot of effort

1.    Moisturize your skin to reduce dryness also it helps the foundation or pressed powder to adhere better and look less cakey

2.    Apply pressed powder for a natural medium coverage

3.    Apply kajal either line your water line or line you lid

4.    Apply a natural blusher so you look healthy

5.    Apply tinted lipbalm, lipstick require precision and time lipbalm are easy to apply without mirror plus they hydrate your lips

We South Asians cannot step out our house without applying kajal, either a defined black line on eyelid, a smudged smokey look or my personal favourite lining the waterline

So Maybelline decided to jazz the black kajal a little bit and came up with a turquoise kajal

A side note here Egyptians used to line their eyes with either black or green kohl

Quantity 0.35g

Price 299 pkr

About the product

This kajal comes in a very vibrant yellow twist up pencil.the packaging is very secure so its easy to carry it around with you
The kajal is super pigmented and soft

My thoughts

I am totally amazed by the performance of this kajal, this stuff is seriously budge proof nothing lasts long on my oily lids but this did not smudge at all in fact I had  trouble washing it off with soap. The kajal is a gorgeous turquoise color you can either wear it alone or line it above your black eyeliner. It lasted on my waterline for a good 8hrs

For the price this is an extremely good product I am so glad I bought it

You like to wear vibrant eye

My ratings

Now who does like cosmetics which come in cute small packaging? Everyone right

I already own the full size version of Maybelline clear smooth all in one pressed powder (and love it) but when I saw this at the pharmacy I had to purchase its so cute

Quantity 3.7 g

Price 250 Pkr

Packaging

It’s a small round light pink compact, very sturdy comes with a little makeup sponge  and mirror

About the product

It’s pretty much the same as the full size version (read review here) gives medium coverage is light weigh does not looks cakey the good thing is that you can keep it in your purse as its small in size and does not takes much space

You can try out this deluxe version for yourself to see if it works out for your skin as it’s not too pricey

Maybelline is available at just4girls.pk beauty arena.pk and daraz.pk online while it can also be purchased at Maybelline counters present in your city

MY RATINGS

i rate this product 5 out of 5
