[Review] Celimax Skin Repair Bee Tox Therapy

I will be honest I already knew a lot about this mask before trying it so naturally my expectations were quite high. I was really excited to try a mask which contained a combination of bee venom and 5% AHA

Features
Refined bee venom strengthens the skin barrier and tends the damaged skin.
Natural AHA dissolves dead skin cells on the skin, smoothing the skin.
The adhering mask sheet conveys the nourishing ingredients of the propolis ampoule.

The mask functions on the basis of a very interesting concept . Bee venom call contains a toxin called melittin which fools the skin to generate more collagen and elastin to repair skin. Apart from Bee venom it also contains citric acid and propolis

The packaging is very luxurious. It looks high end and expensive. The sheet is thin and has almost skin like tinge to it. The serum on the other hand is slightly straw colored and has gel like viscosity. I could also detect a bit of mild scent to it.  The fit is just perfect it adheres so well to the skin. Though the serum is gel like its actually very sticky. I could feel a bit of stinging/tingling sensation on my skin.

I wore this for approximately 25mins . My skin felt sticky so I proceeded to wash my face with water so I could get rid of tacky residue. My skin looked bright. Even my hands looked better ( I applied the extra serum on my hands). The next morning my skin was glowing, it felt smooth, plump and bright. I am very impressed with this mask. For me this is definitely one of those special occasion masks when I am short on time and want to look my best

The 7 day sheet mask challenge (part 1)

I have so many sheet mask in my stash right now and I am afraid that many of them are going to expire soon and end up in my dust bin unless I use them up. So to battle this issue I assigned myself the 7 day mask challenge and picked out 7 different type of sheet mask from my collection and wore them one day after another for 7 days straight.

I kicked off the challenge by starting with something fun and picked up this cool mask by make:prem

Make P:rem Whitening Sauna Mask

This is one of the popular masks by Make:Prem. The foil like designs creates sauna effect. It warms up by trapping the heat from the skin. Which opens the pores and helps the ampoule to penetrate deep into the skin layers. I won this mask in a giveaway ages ago and finally decided to open it today because I was feeling a little bored.
The Make:Prem has a lot more variants in the Wrapping Me series.

the ingredient list is printed both in Hangul  and English,
Inside the packet,  sheet is tightly adhered to the almunium foil so its very convenient to adjust the mask on your face. This is a two part mask. So the fit is really good as you can adjust the pieces according to your face shape.

The Essences/ampoule has water like texture, its transparent and absorbs easily into the skin. There was still a lot of essence left in the packet which I applied to my neck.
I found the adhere and fit of the mask good. This has a mild scent which is pleasant and not overpowering. The recommended time is 10'mins but I wore this for 30 mins . The mask became warm after 5 mins. Since the weather has become nicer. I didnt mind the warm effect at all, Infact it felt nice.

I really enjoyed this mask because it didnt leave any tacky residue on my face, hydrated my skin without causing any breakouts and gave me instant whitening/brightening effect

On Day 2 I used an eye mask by Elizavecca

ELIZAVECCA MILKY PIGGY GOGGLE EYES LOCK IN AQUA MASK

This is a hydrogel sheet exclusively for eyes areas. The sheet is cut out in a goggles design along with eye flaps. Hydrogel mask are great for humid weather as they give cooling effect along with hydration

Thankfully this sheet mask didnt have the characteristic Elizavecca scent. It smelled like flowers to me, mild negligible scent. The cut out design fit my eye shape well. The hydrogel material felt so soft and soothing specially under my eyes. I wore this one for a good 30 mins while I watched an episode of my favourite korean draman the mask didnt slip or slide of my face. It adhered well during the 30 min duration. When I took of the mask my skin looked plump. My under eye area looked supple and hydrated. Most of the tiredness, and dullneee was gone. I am really impressed with this mask. It works really well.

On Day 3 I tried out the So Natural Centella Facial Thin Mask

Centella is my favourite skincare ingredient and this challenge would have been incomplete without centella. The sheet is very thin. Its sheer and drenched in tons of serum. For a mask with a thin sheet I was expecting the serum to have water like consistency but this surprised me with its some what viscous, hyaluronic acid look alike serum. This made my skin feel soft afterwards, the dry patches were gone my acne looked less red. The serum is a bit on tacky side but nothing heavy on the skin

I particularly enjoyed this sheet mask for its good adherence, and thin sheet.  Plus there was a lot of left over essence which I used on my arms and neck.

I will end this post here as its getting too long, rest of the 4 mask reviews will be posted soon in another blog post. So look forward to it :)

Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Review

I am sure by now Snail is like a no stranger to skincare world. Pretty much every one knows how beneficial the slime can be.
I have used honey before, and propolis as well but never bee venom.

My only exposure to bee venom is when once  a bee accidentally stung me in a garden ( trust me it was not pleasant)
So I did bit of a research prior to use and found out that bee venom when used in skincare can give a mild botox effect, improve circulation, and plump skin giving smoother healthier complexion.

I was sent this mask by The Skin Maskuerade for Review Purpose

Ingredients:

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Arbutin, Pentylene Glycol, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Plantago Asiatica Extract, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Ulmus Campestris (elm) Extract, Althaea Rosea Root Extract, Aloe barbadenis Leaf Extract, Bacillus Ferment, Azelaic Acid, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, rh-Oligopeptode-1,Beta-Glucan, Betaine, Bee Venom, Xantham Gum, Panthenol, Adenosine, Allantoin

Prior to use, I applied the essence on my arm and waited for 15 mins ( to check if was allergic to anything )

Applied it straight after cleansing. I found the size of the mass adequate to cover all the corners of my face. The big plus was eye flaps ( benton didn't want your eyelids to miss out the fun )  I left it on my face for 35 mins some parts began to dry out fast .

The mask is thin than usual korean sheet masks but thicker than taiwanese sheet mask. There wasn't any spare serum in the foil
The serum/essence is thin and watery, feels very refreshing and cooling on skin. The essence absorbed easily into the skin without leaving any sticky/tacky residue.

After removing the sheet mask my skin felt plump and hydrated. This mask is one of the best masks I have ever used,
1. It was scent less
2. The essence is thin and perfect for all year, humid weather included
3. Its great for all skin types. Felt really nice on my oily skin
4. Fit and adherence is perfect.

thought this leans on the pricey side I would totally repurchase this for a special event because the results this delivers are instant. And overall improves the complexion. Gives it plumpness.

Cre8skin Salmon Oil Mask

Cre8skin recently added some new products to its skincare range  today I am reviewing Cre8skin Salmon Oil Mask, they have a cream with similar name which I really enjoyed using. You can read my review on it here
 Packaging
These sheetmasks are sold in a pack of 5, the foil packaging has a  matte black outer cover, and feels quite expensive and visually pleasing to the eyes.

There are illustrations and instructions on how to correctly use the mask stated on the packaging, even though they are stated in Korean you can easily translate it with the help of Google Translate
Inside the sheet is made out of thick
cotton like material. The sheet feels so soft on the skin soft. What impressed me most was the essence It feels so gloopy, slimy and thick ( reminds me of a certain cocoon balls containing cream) but absorbs unbelievably well into the skin. The color of the essence is off white and initially feels sticky
This masks contains two very interesting ingredient's  salmon oil + salmon egg extracts thankfully does not smells fishy at all ( has a bit of a strong fragrance to be honest) this sheet masks claims to whitening skin, provide  anti-wrinkle care and moisturize skin.
My thoughts
I loved the fit of the mask, It adjusted easily on my face and I didn't have to fold up an sheet. The masks though thick didn't feel suffocating on the skin. This sheetmask came drenched in essence. There was a lot of leftover essence in the packet. I wore this for a good 1 hour and even after that duration the mask was moist. The essence quickly dried down to a complete matte finish. My skin felt so soft, smooth and bouncy. The brightening effect was quite visible too. The essence though thick didn't clog up my pores or cause breakouts
I am thoroughly impressed with this mask and would definitely repurchase it im future. This masks is suitable for all skin types.

[Review] MERBLISS WEDDING DRESS mask and MERBLISS NURSE HEALING mask

If you are fan of Korean beauty and skincare then I am sure you must know Lisa of Beauty Bemused. She recently launched her very own online korean store by the name of Bemused Korea what differentiates this online shop from the rest is that instead of finding all the popular Korean skincare and makeup brands you can actually purchase some really nice hard to find brands like 107oseven, A BY BOM cosmetics and merbliss korea etc.
I have seen reviews of the store by many people and really like how they send the parcel in pretty packaging so it feels more like opening a gift
Lisa was very generous and sent me two kinds of sheet mask by Merbliss to try you can have a look at the package below
Isn't the pink and silver confetti cute ❤
Now I haven't personally tried out any thing by Merbliss so far but I have been following them on instagram and wow I cant believe Ahn Jae-hyun  is currently endorsing this brand( incase you cant remember he was one of the leads in Korean drama "Blood" "Cinderella and the four knights" and also starred in "You who came from the stars"
Enough of that fan girl moment lets get on to the review 😁
MERBLISS Intense Hydration Coating Nude Seal mask (WEDDING DRESS)
This mask retails for 3$ each and can be purchased in a box of 5
Its is a 100% natural sheet mask and contains 25ml of serum in it
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Butylene Glycol, Caviar Extract, Pearl Powder, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, PVM/MA Copolymer, Trehalose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Panthenol, Carbomer, Arginine, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Chlorphenesin, Glycyrrhiza Galbra (Licorice) Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Zinziber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Extract, Acorus Calamus Root Extract, Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract, Fragrance
The outer packaging is matte and has a cute white wedding dress printed on it. The claims are simple skin brightening and hydration to get that bride like glow 😍
After tearing open the foil I was met with a mild pleasant scent ( don't be alarmed its very mild and vanishes in a minute or two)

As the name suggests this nude seal mask has a light thin sheet mask (0.21mm) with a protective white plastic cover to retain it's shape
The mask is drenched in a thick viscous transparent serum. I squeezed out the excess serum before hand for later use
The fit if this mask is good. I have a small face so adjusting sheetmasks is a little tricky for me but this one adhered well to the skin.( I roamed around the house without any fear 😅 ). I improvised on the instructions and wore this for 50 minutes because
1. Its winter and my skin is feeling dry
2. This mask felt so nice so I didn't felt like taking it off after 20 mins
What surprised me was the fact that even after 50 minutes the sheet was moist( don't know if its because of winter or perhaps this particular sheetmask has the ability to retain more moisture than an average sheetmask
Anyways after taking it off the remaining serum absorbed on its own without any external effort aka patting 😆

I really liked how my skin looked matte but glowy without the greasy or tacky feel it was soft and hydrated. I can totally agree on the brightening part (my skin didn't look its usually dull self). Super impressed with its performance 5/5

MERBLISS Intense Soothing Gauze Seal mask ( Nurse Healing)
100% Natural sheet mask. This has a scent similar to the Merbliss wedding mask but what sets this mask different from all the mask I have tried out in past is that its made of gauze. Now I am a medical student so you know I get to use gauze a lot in hospital but the texture of particular gauze make is different. Its strong so it does not tears apart no matter how much pull it around to adjust it on your face.
Ingredients:  Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trehalose, Chlorphenesin, Allantoin, Arginine, Carbomer, Dipropylene Glycol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Fragrance, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, PVM/MA Copolymer, Melaleuca Althernifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (matricaria) Flower Extract, Mentha Piperita (peppermint) Leaf Extract, Diamond Powder, Centella Asiatica Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Pinus Densiflora Leaf Extract, Thuja Orientalis Extract,Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Phenoxtethanol
The gauze soaks up a lot more product than an average sheet mask so this remains moist for a really long time. I hung this mask up to see how long it took for it to dry and was super surprised when it dried up after 2hrs cool right.

I wore this mask for 40 minutes and then massaged the sheet on my arms and neck ( there is still a little serum in the foil so I am going to use it later)
Unlike the Merbliss Wedding Mask this gives hydration , moisture and nutrition. The serum takes some time to dry down but one its all absorbed the skin feels soft minus the tacky greasy feel. I liked how my skin felt plump and soft. This is perfect for all skin types ( mine is oily acne prone) I would have loved to write mmom'sms thoughts on this but she is hesitant to use sheet mask in winters ( she is afraid she might catch cold)
Nonetheless these masks are definitely one of the best masks I have tried and have made it to my special sheet masks list.
Even though these masks were sent for review my opinion would have been same even if I would have purchased these with my own money
these masks can be purchased at bemused korea website here
