Lip balms are a staple in every women's purse  even if  you wear minimal makeup I am sure you own a lip balm. For me Lip balm remains a product that is constantly repurchased through out the year.

Not all Lip balms are made equal . Some provide hydration , some provide color , some have both hydration and pigment and then there are some meh lip balms that have fancy price tag and cute to look at packaging but the lip balm inside is something that makes you look more chapped and dry like dry prunes

Maybelline baby lip balm has been making popularity rounds in the beauty blogging world for some time now. It has been getting both rare-views and hate-views too.  So when I ran out of lip balm I decided to plunge into the deep waters and purchase this lip balm
The packaging is cute  2$ or 249 PKr

Packaging:

The packaging is cute and quite eye-catching I must admit. The tube is a small enough to be grown into a small clutch or purse. The cap is secure . This lip Balm has a twist up mechanism so this makes it hygienic. I absolutely hate those products where you have to dip your fingers in .

About the product:

This smells like berries, the scent is so delicious. Now as you can see this looks os vibrant and red in the tube but on application it imparts  a sheer wash of color which Is not too much buildable on multiple swipes. There are specks of gold glitter in this lip balm  but don't panic they are too small to be visible or feel gritty on the lips.  it  applies evenly on the lips and after hrs( without drinking and eating) it disappears leaving the lips smooth and moisturized. One of the best part in my opinion is that this Lipbalm has spf 20 so not does it makes the lips soft it also protects them form the damaging  rays

Beware guys there are a lot fakes circulating online and in the market so make sure you are safe from the counterfeit products as they can pose hazard to your skin

I am a hygiene freak you can confirm this by asking my classmates . So when it comes to cleaning whether its a surface or my face I like to be very thorough. For reference
I wear makeup 6 days a week for about 6hrs/day . Special occasions (party/events are exception)

micellar water has been around for a fairly long time and the Bioderma Micellar water is the pioneer of all micellar waters(they came up with the whole concept) micellar water actually contains minute micelles of oil which when combined with water removes stubborn makeup

As you can see the packaging is quite simple. It a transparent plastic bottle which has a pink very secure cap. This micellar water comes in 100ml travel friendly bottle one medium bottle of 250ml and a big bottle of 400ml
Product is inside is clear and transparent just like water upon shaking some bubbles a re formed. This is scent free which makes it ideal for sensitive skin

Bioderma claims that this has the ph exactly same as that of our skin which is 5.5 (acidic). Which means that it does not disturbs the normal flora of the skin nor does it makes the skin overly dry or oily. It also retains the moisture of the skin and is very gently

My thought: I soak a round cotton makeup remover pad with the water micellar water and which the gentlest pressure remove makeup from my eyes and face. What I have noticed is that it easily removes makeup without much effort or tugging. Moreover I don't have to go over the same spot on my face several times. I easily breaks down foundation, mascara, eyeliner and matte lipstick. Though micellar water does not requires one to rinse water after use I do so just to be extra extra thorough

Ever since I have started using this I have noticed that I have less open comedones . Moreover my pimples have reduced considerable. Also my eyelashes look healthy and full ( no tugging means less eyelash fall)
This micellar water is really very gentle on the skin and my oily skin is behave a lot better with this makeup cleanser

Even though the price tag is a bit steep I am going to continue purchasing bioderma micellar water until I find some thing which works better or similar to this micellar water(I highly doubt that )

I have been longing to try the innisfree microcara mascara for a very long time  but its not easy to find original Korean makeup products in Pakistan so while I am still searching around for a suitable online store which ships Korean makeup and skincare products to Pakistan with a pocket friendly shipping I bought this essence mascara on a whim and luckily it has a very slim long brush

The mascara tube is very colorful and long and has a secure black cap. The mascara wand has a slim conical brush which is tapered at one end

The mascara has dry dry formula so it makes the lashes thick on one swipe. The tapered conical shape helps to reach the lashes on the inner corner of the eye with ease. Also the brush reduces smudging.

I also noticed how incredibly easy it was to apply mascara to my bottom lashes with this mascara. This mascara is not waterproof which is what I like because waterproof  formulas can be such a pain to remove.

this  mascara flaked slightly after 3hrs but it was not so noticeable or messy. I didnt experience any lash hair fall or irritation after using this. The formula is very gentle on the eyes and removes easily with soap and water.
It held the curl on my eyelashes well. This mascara is definitely buildable . I applied 3-4 coats on my eyelashes and they didn't clump or look spidery at all.

You can easily  have the false lash effect with this mascara as it gives tons of volume and length to the eye lashes

If my memory does not fails me I remember that the first post it posted on this blog was on a pressed powder by Maybelline. I was so excited to share my thoughts on a newly released powder back then. That's when I first plunged my feet into the world of cosmetics.

Funnily the post I am sharing today is on another Maybelline pressed powder in same packaging and price range, but with a different name. It is the Maybelline super white fresh powder. Why do most of Maybelline products have frightfully long names?

Price:550 pkr
Quantity: 9 gms

The powder is cased in the same sturdy rectangular slim compact with a small square sponge.the only change to the design I that the mirror in the compact I a lot bigger than the clear all in one powder.

The super white fresh range comes in five shades and only two of them are available in pakistan. The sale girl accidentally gave me the 2nd shade I.e natural which I was afraid would be dark for my complexion but luckily when I applied it to my face. It matched my skin color quite well

This powder has spf 34+ which is good.and also one of reasons I believe it gives brightening effect to the skin. Its not chalky nor does it oxidize to an unhealthy orange color
It has smooth texture. The powder is finely milled and provides light to medium coverage(depends on how much you apply it to your face) . This can be worn on its own or dusted over a foundation for a matte finish

One of the best thing about this compact is that it comes with an option of refills. I spotted refills at Daraz for400 pkr

I decided to post a picture of all the three Maybelline powders I own.

Mark your calendars, set your alarms and put up the reminders for the upcoming Black Friday sale this 25th nov , one of the most awaited  and hyped up day of the year in a shopaholics'  life. Even if you shop for necessities only this is the best time of the year to save up money 💵 . It wouldn't be wrong to say that even uncle scrooge would give approval this whole black Friday sale affair 😊.

If you have been living under the rock for the past couple of years and are totally unaware about the whole concept of black Friday then allow me to summarize the highlights of this day for you. Its basically the day of the year when major stores around the world offer the biggest craziest discounts possible on their in stock items. The deals last for a day so if you want to tick off a couple of items from your wish list and save up money  now is the perfect time to do it.

I have been saving up my pocket money all this year for the biggest sale event myself.

 Daraz.pk

The pioneers of introducing black Friday sale concept in Pakistan. Daraz has amped up its sale game this year too. With a pre black Friday sale from 22-24th Nov on their app store and the black Friday sale from 25 Nov  , Daraz promises of  a great 3 days shopping experience.

Daraz has partnered up with easy paisa, and brands like careem, ponds , sunsilk to name a few . The discounts offered this year range from 40-80% . My advice download the Daraz aap asap 😊.

 PakStyle.pk Online Shopping

Pakstyle.pk has joined the black Friday fever this year.they have lined up great deals and discounts for their customers this year. The prices are reduced remarkably. With a promise of free delivery on every order. Pakstyle.pk is one of the best online places to shop from this black Friday

 Yayvo.pk

Yayvo  is partnering up with jazzcash cash to make some ground breaking figures in sales this year. With a very vast catalogue, items ranging from electronics clothes to cosmetics, yayvo the store backed by tcs courier is planning to launching big discounts on their items. Best part Is free delivery on their discounted items.

Symbios.pk

I don't know how that on exactly how many websites I will be placing order this year, because each store is offering so unresistable and unbelievable deals this year for instance symbios is planning to host a upto 90% sale on 25 th of Nov plus 3 flash sales on various items now that's a sweet deals.

 Kaymu.pk

kaymu has a unique and different manner of selling items than other stores. Joining the black Friday festivity kaymu is planing to unleash surprising discounts on various categories from which you can shop.

History of Black Friday in Pakistan

To be honest Black Friday was popular only In the west and Europe until last year when some brands and Online stores decided to officially launch black Friday sales in Pakistan last year. Surprisingly it turned out be very profitable and successful. Many brands made staggering amount of Sales during a single day.  Its was good sales day. Particularly at Daraz most Of the stuff went out of stock with in the first few hours.

My Advice to  survive the shopping frenzy. Make a wish list now, quickly add the desired items in the virtual cart on 25th Nov 12:00 am sharp  hit the finalize button. Then sit back and wait for the order to reach you. And be satisfied at your purchase and all the pennies you saved

Happy shopping!

i have been trying my best to keep up with my new year resolutions this year. and one of the resolution was to curb my makeup buying habit, so far i have only bought a mascara but who knows i might go into an online shopping frenzy again

i did placed an order at daraz.pk but this time instead of shopping for makeup and well clothes i bought my self headphones a cute badminton racket mp3 player and a micro SD card to go with it

also i am very happy to announce that i have finally hit pan on my maybelline compact powder after a use of 2 years .i also managed to finish a lipgloss which is a big achievement since  i hate liglosses this one is by makeup revolution and its a pretty cute nude pink color. you can read review here
i have also used half of my makeup revolution lipstick in atomic red, essence sheer and shine lipstick in bff and MUA power pout in rendezvous

i also did a mini haul and purchased these M.A.C rip off brushes from a local cosmetic store

I have been very busy this month. Papers, studies some extracurricular activities going on at college however all of this didn’t prevented me from buying makeup hehe ,

So here is what I bought

From daraz.pk

Makeup revolution I heart makeup obsession palette in “pure cult” (whoa that was a mouth full)

This is actually first ever eyeshadow palette

Makeup revolution lip-power in shade “LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT”

Essence 50’s girl reloaded eyeshadow brush (finally a decent eyeshadow brush)

From just4girls.pk

WetnWild megalast lipstick in shade “In the flesh”

Mua power pout in shade “rendezvous”

Others

Lipbalm

Ponds toner

Kryolan eyeshadow brush

So after trying out the makeup revolution lipstick in treat I decided to try another of their lipstick. This particular shade atomic red is from their atomic lipstick collection

Price 225pkr

Quantity 3.8 g

Packaging: black casing with a sample of shade on top of lid

About the product:

Its extremely creamy moisturizing and is intensely pigmented

My thoughts:

I expected this to be neutral red but it turned out be a cool red leaning more towards pink berry shade.this is kind of red shade which makes my teeth look whitter. As its creamy this lipstick bleeds so a lipliner is a must also due to its intense pigmentation it leaves a stain behind so you do require a lipbrush for precise application as mistakes can result in reapplication of whole makeup(yep this happened with me)

You might like it

Looking for a cool toned red lipstick
You are in a budget

You might not like it

You like to wear nude lipstick

Available at just4girls.pk and daraz.pk in paksitan and at makeup revolution website

my ratings 4.5 out of 5

When I read the review by bia from the beautyfinds blog about these blushes I decided to give it a try since I already own a cool pink blush I decided to go for a coral-ly orange colored blush

Price: 225pkr

Quantity: 3.4 g

Packaging:

It’s a round shaped compact with a clear lid the plastic it not too sturdy and more likely to break if treated carelessly but for the price you cant really complain

About the product:

It’s a shade somewhere between coral and orange has micro gold sparkles in it which are not noticeable when worn a perfect shade to wear in spring and summer

My thoughts:

This blush is fairly pigmented it’s a little bit chalky. Gives warmth to the face lasts for about 5hrs on face, blends easily the gold sparkles don’t enhance the pores has no scent at all, looks great on fair and wheat-ish skin tone.

You might like it

If you are looking for a coral blush
You are in a budget

You might not like it

If you have dark skin
You are looking for a sturdier packaging

i rate this 4 out 5

Available at just4girls.pk and daraz.pk in Pakistan and at makeup revolution website

have you tried makeup revolution blushes??
