One Brand Review: Keep Cool

Today I will be reviewing three products from the brand Keep Cool. I also have the Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence in my drawer. Despite the whole sunscreen controversy I still plan to express my unbiased thoughts on it.

I don't use cleansing water that often because I like cleansing oils over it but somedays when my skin is not doing well. Or when I wear makeup for over 12hrs I like to use cleansing water and cleansing oil for extra deep cleanse

What is special about Keep Cool Products is that it is Free of 20 harmful ingredients and uses EWG green grades ingredients.

It also does not use the allergy-indicated ingredients in its skincare products

KEEP COOL Soothe Phyto Green Shower Cleansing Water

A clear and pure cleansing water that eliminates makeups and skin wastes without stimulating the skin. Micellar Water Technology absorbs sebum, makeup residue, and skin wastes and protects the skin moistly.

The soothing and moisturizing complex, Phyto Green Shower, condition and calm the skin with phytoncide.

I have the 100ml bottle which is more suited for travelling, the packaging is sturdy and leak proof. I added these cute stickers to the bottle myself. The flip cap makes it easier to dispense the product.

I normally douse cotton pad with this cleansing water and gently swipe it across my face and neck. It removes majority of my makeup along with sunscreen pretty easily but waterproof makeup like eyeliner and mascara need something more tough like oil cleanser. Overall it is a good micellar water that is gentle and effective

KEEP COOL Soothe Bamboo Toner

Containing 85% of bamboo water which helps skin retain moisture and freshness.

Designed to match the skin acidity of pH5.5 to maintain the healthy balance of your skin. Suitable for sensitive, dry and oily skin.

This one of my favourite toners. I have already added this to my purchase list and once I run out of the toners from my collection I will be purchasing a full size bottle of this .This is scent free, color free and alcohol free. The texture is runny like a water and absorbs really easily into the skin. It took me a solid one month to run out of this 15ml bottle. This is great for everyday use. I also works well for prepping skin for makeup. For my oily skin it is pretty light weight and hydrating. This is definitely suitable for all skin types

KEEP COOL Soothe Cooling Foot Spray

A minty scent spray releases stress on your feet while leaving refreshing feeling.

It is portable and affordable spray lightly and gets on your feet mainly having Menthol and Peppermint extract. It can be sprayed on socks or even stockings and also makes you stay standing still for long time.

No matter how often I wash my feet they still smell bad by the end of the day. I know my long duty hours and super active sweat glands are be blammed but their was no solution for this embarrassing problem until I brought this Keep Cool Spray on a whim.

Not only does this provide instant cooling sensation to the warm feet in summer. It also adds a fresh minty scent which masks the stench considerably a lot. I usually spray my feet, socks and my sandals with this foot spray and my feet dont smell as strong as the did before. I also wear open foot wear in summer to prevent bacteria and mould from growing on my shoes and feet. So far I am happy and I will continue to purchase this.

What is your favorite product from the brand Keep Cool

[Review] Etude House Beauty Face Blur Primer

This is probably one of the most iconic primer from Etude House that we all can recall from our highschool days. I bought this 2 years ago and I have been using this on and off all this time.

Packaging:

Is very basic and simple as you can see. A standard vacuum pump bottle with a pale peach cap. The brand changes bottle design time to time so there is a high chance that the primer bottle is going to look different when you are going to purchase it . Also I accidentally broke the pump when I dropped it on the floor one day. But it was still working

About the product:

This is designed as a multipurpose product to blur pores, brighten skin and even out skin tone with it pinkish tone. You can wear this on its own for a no makeup look but since I have oily skin . I require translucent powder set this in place. Normally silicon heavy products have a silky feel to them but this feels more like a lotion. It can feel moisturizing during autumn and winter and can be downright greasy if you apply it on a hot hunid summer day. The scent is similar to baby powder and it leaves a tacky finish to the skin. I get the most use out of this during winters as it deeply moisturizes the skin and helps my foundation to adhere better and look smooth. I am not sure if it increases the longevity of my makeup in any way because I usually wash off my face after 8 hrs anyway.

I have noticed that this causes breakouts if I use this in hit weather. Moreover it makes my base makeup crease up more. So if you have oily skin it would be best to reserve this for winters. This appl ys best with fingers, brush and sponge make it look patchy.  Overall I have a love hate relationship with this primer. I am not going to repurchase this infuture as there are lot of good primers out there that work better for my skin type and are fuss free

[Review] Bellflower Cosmetics Azulene Daily Calming Serum

Incase you don't know Azulene is derived from blue chamomile and is a known calming and anti inflammatory ingredient.  My skin is currently not in its best state so these days I am focusing more on calming/healing ingredients. This serum has been sitting in my skincare stash for some time so I decided to add it back to my routine and see if could help with my skin problems

Benefits:

A nourishing serum formulated with Azulene extract from chamomile oil that soothes and calms sensitive skin from irritation and stress. Features Centella Asiatica extract that helps heal wounds and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Contains natural herb ingredients and Pinus Densiflora Leaf extract that moisturize the skin and soothe the skin from itching.

Packaging

A standard frosted glass vial with a glass dropper inside. Overall the design is pretty minimalistic. The serum was initially a beautiful shade of azure blue and but now with time it has darkened a few shades and looks violet

My Experience

The serum is not thick but I has a bit of a collagen like texture so it is slightly viscous.  It is completely scent free and the serum has a light violet tinge to it which is not visible on the skin. Because of the slight viscosity it takes a few minutes to absorb into the skin

I have used this for sometime now and I am actually very pleased with this. One because it is a versatile product that can be used both day and night. It doesn't pill under makeup or other skincare products. It soothes irritated skin and maintains the moisture balance. With continuous use my skin is breaking out less these days

You can buy this at yesstyle or iunik website.

I'M FROM Honey Mask Review

I love propolis and honey based products a lot in winters so I was happy to find a small size option . The full size tub is a bit expensive for my budget.

This wash-off mask contains 46.44g of natural honey to offer deep moisturization and nourishment. Real honey makes the skin supple while also providing elasticity and soothing care. The mask also effectively removes whiteheads and provides exfoliation create the look of a clear complexion.

PACKAGING :

While removing the sticky seal on top I accidentally rubbed off the black print on my squeeze tube. But lucky you can still read the details on it so its is okay

Ingredients :

Honey, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Microcrystalline Wax, Polysorbate 20, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Water, Bambusa Vulgaris Water, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Propolis Extract, Beta-Glucan, Bee Venom, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Flower Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin

My thoughts:

Many people recommended this for dry to normal skin type as it leaves a moisture film and can cause breakouts. Right now the weather is cold and my skin is dry so I decided to try it and see if could help my irritated /dehydrated skin

The texture is like honey, its is sticky and viscous. I found it pretty easy to apply with a silicon spatula. I usually leave this on for 20 mins and then wash it off with luke warm water. The first thing I noticed was the immediate boost of moisture to my skin .it even made my face look plump. I have also noticed that this calms down irritation and red spots. Overall I am happy but I am not sure if I will splurge on full size tub of this

2 weeks skincare challenge with Anua

Today I will posting my thoughts on the 4 products from the brand Anua that I have been using consistently for last two weeks in my A.M and P.M skincare routine

First off are these Clear pads

ANUA Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad  (70pcs)

Anua's Acne toner padwith Eoseongcho Extracts Good for Skin Calm.

It contains patented ingredient for controlling sebum and shrinking pores

These toner soak pads come in very beautiful pine green tub with a pair of tweezers. All the pads are soaked in a decent amount of toner so chances of drying out pretty low. Still as a precautionary measure I decided to open the plastic film only half way

These are the dual sided pads ( smooth and embossed pattern ) I find the overall material of the pads soft so it is very gentle and non abrasive. I usually use these to wipe my skin and remove all the dust and dead cell debri . Completely scent free and come in a box of 70 pieces

ANUA Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner -

All ingredients are certified as EWG Grade, which means it is safe as food ingredients   Free from 20 Cautionary Components, ZERO Allergy Causing Ingredient. It is certified as Non-irritation to sensitive skin by skin irritatioan test in Korea. When it put on face with soaked cotton pad, skin temperature reduces at least 5 degrees.

This is the toner that contains Heartleaf extract to the highest level,

which is good for skin trouble care. It has the most positive reviews among the Anua's product for soothing irritated spots.  especially for tiny bumps.  Also, known as one of the personal cherished products of EXO Suho.

I have previously reviewed this toner on my blog and my thoughts are still the same. The toner has a nice viscous texture with a hint of slip to it. I like to use as a prep pads . Soak cotton squares with this and use it as a toner pack to hydrate and calm my skin . This absorbs easily without leaving any heavy tacky residue. Overall really good for calming skin

ANUA Heartleaf 70 Daily Relief Lotion

Daily Relief lotion for Moisturizing, Calming and Soothing for skin

Honestly don't use lotions much, so I was honestly not sure if I was going to enjoy this product or not because the only lotion I can distinctly remember trying was the ever popular baby lotion from Johnson's and Johnson's year ago and that used to cause breaks outs.

This lotion on the other hand surprised me . The texture was light water based and it absorbed easily too. I was afraid that I would end up with terrible cystic acne the next day but to my relief my skin was smooth and soft

ANUA Heartleaf 80% Soothing Ampoule

Naturally originated moisturizing ingredients which will make your skin glowy and smooth without stickiness.

And lastly the ampoule, this has a very viscous texture ( quite similar to propolis ampoule ) but it absorbs easily without the heavy greasy feel. I have been using this a lot on my irritated skin these days and this has helped tremendously in calming down my skin.

Overall I have noticed that using all of these products has helped my skin a lot. My acne is healing and I don't get new break outs. If you are going through maskne phase or have sensitive skin I would recommend you to try this line by Anua

[Review] RE:SEA Reborn Moisturizing Toner and RE:SEA Marine Nano Cream

RE:SEA is a Japanese Skincare brand. They use deep sea water in their skincare products to add intense hydration to the skin. Today I will be reviewing a toner and a cream from the brand

Re:sea Reborn Moisturizing Toner

Re:sea Reborn Moisturizing Toner offers protective care while invigorating jthe skin with moisturising elements. With three different ferment filtrates, the formulation offers beneficial anti-oxidant and anti-aging effects, helping to soften and smooth dry skin while reducing fine lines.

The toner is packaged in a very sturdy pump bottle. I find the design very easy to use and store.

Key Ingredients
Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Succinoyl Atelocollagen, Bifida Ferment Extract, Rice Ferment Filtrate (Sake), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1

The toner has a water like consistency so if you are not careful you can spill it easily. I like to use this as a toner pack because I get maximum benefit that way and it also preps my skin for makeup. I have oily skin so heavy toners are a big No No for me. Luckily this is very thin and absorbs easily without any tacky residue. For my oily/dehydrated skin the moisture is adequate and my pores don't get clogged nor do I get any new breakouts so I am happy.

RE:SEA Marine Nano Cream

This breakthrough facial moisturizer delivers powerful brightening and anti-aging result ingredients to skin for fast absorption with Nanotechnology and Deep Sea Water*.

Formulated with Caviar Extract and Jojoba Esters, this all-in-one moisturizer actively hydrates to improve elasticity and soften the look of fine lines while repairing of spaces between keratin cells. Skin is left with a smooth and matte finish that doesn’t feel greasy. This cream deeply replenishes for a beautifully glowing radiance. For all skin types, specially combating the first signs of ageing

The packaging as you can see is a very basic. What surprises me the most is however the ergonomic deisgn of the kid which allows the spatula to be stored easily

Key Ingredients
Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Caviar Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Algae Extract, Rice Ferment Filtrate (Sake), Succinoyl Atelocollagen, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Bisabolol, Jojoba Esters

This is a slight sea blue color transparent gel based cream with round blue particles suspended in it. I am a big fan of gel creams as they work the best for my skin type and this is no exception. It is easy to spread and absorbs easily without any greasy feel. My only issue with this cream is that some times it pills when applied with sunscreen so I use it during my night time routine

The price point for both of these products is a little high but if you like to splurge on skincare or you ate looking for something that is soothing and moisturizing .you are going to enjoy both of these products a lot
