Jenny House Hair Care review : Shampoo , Treatment and Leave in Cream

JENNY HOUSE is a very popular salon in South Korea that is visited by many korean Celebrities. Currently Son Ye Jin ( the actress from Crash Landing on You and Personal Taste ) is the endorsing their hair products. I will be reviewing three products from this brand today . All Jenny House hair products are free from 12 harmful ingredients like Silicon , SLS, Triclosan, mineral oil, paraben and artificial fragrance so that your scalp is healthy and problem free

I have oily scalp and my hair are color treated, fine and damaged. Moreover because of the thin brittle texture and oily scalp the hair sit flat on my head so I am always looking out for products that can enhance volume and reduce the frizz. I used these products for 3 weeks straight so here are my final thoughts on these

JENNY HOUSE Self Up Volume Shampoo

Starting my review in the order I usually do my haircare. I will review this shampoo first. The bottle is humongous as you can see so it will last me a few months. There is a nice sturdy pump which gives control over dispensing the product

Rich and firm foam, gentle massage and a refreshing scent provide pleasant scalp cleansing.

How to use

After completely soaking your hair with water, take a sufficient amount,

lather, massage your scalp and hair and rinse thoroughly.

This shampoo has a very distinct yuja scent. I personally love yuja . I own so many yuja scented products so the scent clicked off with me instantly. The shampoo has a nice gel like consistency. I have noticed that this foams a lot. For me 1 pump is enough to thoroughly remove the sebum built up on my scalp. Just the shampoo alone makes my hair smooth and soft. It also adds volume to my hair which is great. I think I like this one as much as the Rosemary scalp scaling shampoo from Aromatica

JENNY HOUSE Self Up Volume Treatment

So this is basically a conditioner designed for your hair shaft rather then the roots. The squeeze tube packaging is very convenient. I don't have to apply too much force to get the product out of the tube

This treatment for scalp and hair make the scalp healthy while leaving hair silky and moisturized.

How to use

After shampoo, apply an appropriate amount of this treatment on your

wet hair (especially hair end parts). Rinse it with water after 2~3 minutes.

The texture of this hair treatment is rich. I usually take about a coin size amount of this and apply it mainly to my ends where I have the split ends. This hair treatment washes of easily and I have noticed that I don't have any tangles post wash. Moreover it makes my hair bouncy and soft

JENNY HOUSE Hydrokeratin Leave In Angelring Cream - 150ml

And Finally the most impressive and innovative hair product I have used this year. I have used a few leave in hair treatments in the past. But all of them made my hair greasy and sticky. The product also weighed my hair down so it looked more flat and limp.

This highly concentrated cream pack sticks evenly to the hair to protect against excessively dry damage caused by dryness.

How to use

After shampooing, apply evenly to dry hair

with towel and dry with Let dry.

When i read the instructions I was dreading the whole moment. But just completely wowed my on my first try. I took a decent amount of product and spread it evenly between the palm of my hands, then I gently applied it to the length of my hair avoiding the roots. This evenly coats the hair making it soft and smooth. It didn't feel even 1% oily or sticky. I was surprised how this tamed all the frizz and added volume to my hair. Moreover the yuja scent made my hair smell nice for a few days. I do plan to grab a few more tubes of this product because this has made the biggest difference to my hair

So this wraps up my review. Out of all the three products which one do you want to try?

[Review] eSpoir Oil Cut Fixer

Espoir is the korean alternative to M.A.C . The products have chic packaging and the quality is top notch. I purchased two deluxe size foundations from the brand last year and believe me. They are the best liquid foundations I have tried

Last year I decided to treat myself to a a little luxury and bought this makeup fixer as a birthday present. I do have a few makeup fixers in my stash already but this is without any doubt the very best

Description

A makeup fixing spray that helps makeup last longer, controls oil and deflects surface shine with lightweight sebum-care powder.

The fine fitting polymer system creates strong setting layer on the makeup.

The packaging is chic and sleek a nide link bottke with silver details. The nozzle has a really great mist mechanism so the mist is super fine. It just feels like a light breeze of air, so soft and gentle. This has calamine powder in it so shaking before use is advised to evenly distribute the particles in the mist

Ingredients Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Methylpropanediol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Silica, Aluminum Chlorohydrate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Octyldodeceth-16, Water, Amaranthus Caudatus Seed Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Calamine, Pentylene Glycol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Propanediol, PVP, Flavor, Sodium Citrate, Methylpropanediol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol

How to use:

1) Shake the powder layer and water layer well before using

2) Place the bottle at a distance of 30 centimeters from your face, press the dispenser and start spraying.

I have used this both in summer and winter season and it definitely prolongs the wear time of my makeup. Moreover it sets the powder on tops so that it looks natural and soft on the face. The mist also hydrates dry patches on the skin and also increases the longevity of base makeup. This has a slight floral scent but it is very soft and almost negligible. Most makeup fixers impart glow to the face but this on the other hand gives a satin finish. It doesn't mattify the skin but then it doesn't make the skin more greasy.

This has become a makeup staple for me now and I do plan to purchase another bottle when I run out. The price is actually high retails for 17-25 $ ( prices vary store to store) but since the results are great I think this is worth the splurge.

[Review] HOLIKA HOLIKA - Heart Crush Glow Tint Air

I briefly mentioned these lip tints in my post earlier this month. Today I will be posting an in-depth review, sharing all the Pros and Cons of this best selling lip product from Holika Holika

Benefits:

Adds an airy shine to lips with Air-light Glow Capsule for a non-sticky finish.

Infused with pure color pigments that deliver vibrant and long lasting colors.

Moist Holding System keeps the lips moist all day long. Formulated with different moisturizing and nourishing ingredients for healthy-looking lips. The Bullet Tip makes it easier to control the amount used for a light, airy effect.

The packaging is really beautiful. A heart shaped tube with Holika Holika engraved into the cap . The applicator is long and has a pointed bullet shape for precision.

Color Details:

I have these in two different colors, both of these have a nice , sweet scent.

#03 Bae: Flattering peach coral

#07 Hush: Bold and cool brick color

I normally don't use coral lip products because they dont look flattering on my skin . But this  #03 Bae has a milky tinge to it so it is more of a nude peach color.  It looks flattering on its own and also works so well as a base for gradient lip

On the other hand #07 Hush is more of a deep brick red color, it really adds oomph to the lips with its vibrant tint.

Both of these lip tints are extremely moisturizing and add a long-lasting color to the lips. The formula idms really smooth and non sticky. The shine wears off after a few hours but the tint remains on the lips. Now that it is winter and my lips are dry and cracked. I have been reaching out for this one a lot and I like how this instantly plumps my lips and makes my face look more lively

[Review] iUNIK - Rose Galactomyces Silky Tone-Up Cream

Toneup creams can be a hit or a miss. Some can either have too much of a chalky dry texture which emphasizes pores and dry out the skin while some are moisturizing to a point that it feels greasy on the skin. I usually don't reach out for tone up creams that often . But thanks to the Pandemic I have been reaching out for this particular tone up cream the most

Description:

A silky cream that leaves the skin instantly brightened and beautifully clarified. This cream is infused with natural fermentation ingredients Galactomyces and Rose Water, which helps regulate moisture in skin and nourish skin instantly. Natural reservatives used

The packaging as you can see is a very slim tube, very handy to use and easy to carry around with. This has a very distinct rose scent. But thankfully it leans more towards fresh roses and smells less like a dried /pungent rose bouquet that is rottening. I generally like rose scent but sometimes artificial rose scent reminds me of funeral

The cream is moisturizing, it is very easy to spread and the tone up effect is not chalky. It blends easily into the skin and evens out uneven complexion. I have used this on its own under a mask when I didn't feel like wearing makeup and I liked the natural smooth finish this gave to my skin. I have also used this underneath foundation as a primer and it kept my face hydrated during the day.  I have also used this with face powder and it gives an illusion of perfect skin without makeup .

Overall for my skin this toneup cream has worked really well to blur out imperfections, even out skin tone and moisturize skin . I would only recommend it to people who have fair skin or those who are looking for some moisturizing /smooth toneup creams

[Review] Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum

Neulii is a skicare brand created by Roseroseshop. The Brand is known for its clean ingredients list and minimalistic packaging

Recently they launched three new serums

I am reviewing the Neulii Cicapepta Repair Serum today

This serum contains centella asiatica and peptide, revitalizing rough and tired appearance while soothing and repairing skin barrier.

Purified Water, 1,3-Propanediol, Glycereth-26, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, 1,3-Butanediol, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Trimethylglycine, Lecithin, Sh-Oligopeptide-1, Sh-Oligopeptide-2, Sh-Oligopeptide-11, Bacillus/Folic Acid/Soybean Ferment Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acetyl Glutamine, Carbomer, Apple Extract, Green Tea Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Aronia Arbutifolia Fruit Extract, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Tromethamine, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA

The packaging as you can see is very minimalistic. This is my first time using such a huge 80 ml serum bottle usually serums come in 30 or 50ml packaging. I really appreciate the pump mechanism. It works so well to dispense the serum

The serum itself has gel like consistency . Its clear and transparent. Its also completely alcohol-free fragrance & essentialoil-free. That is why you cant smell as scent at all. The gel like texturue changes to watery consistency . It absorbs easily into the skin without leaving any tacky/ sticky feeling

I really like this serum for its nice lightweight gel like texture, how it hydrates my oily skin summer without clogging my pores. This is perfect for prepping skin as a primer and for hot weather

One Brand Makeup Look: Holika Holika

My Entry For Holika Holika Fanstasy Makeup Contest. This look is created using all the products from the brand Holika Holika.

I plan to post detailed reviews of all the products in the future so if you are interested about any product in general . Please let me know in the comment section below.

For Face Makeup.

Since my skin was in a really bad state at that time. I needed a lot of coverage and this

HOLIKA HOLIKA - Hard Cover Complete Conceal Palette  was very handy for that. I got to color correct and also cover the zits.

I primed my face really well with a balm moisturizer but because of tretinoin my face was still dry . ( hence the flaky /patchy skin near my nose and mouth )

I also used HOLIKA HOLIKA - Hard Cover Glow Stick Foundation along with the HOLIKA HOLIKA - Hard Cover Glow Cushion Peko Edition and it was really easy to blend.

For Eye Makeup I was really spoilt for choice. There were too many color options. I really think that Holika Holika point makeup deserves a lot more love because it is pigmented and stays put for long too

I was totally blown away by the intense foil effect of these pot eyeshadows.

HOLIKA HOLIKA Piece Matching Shadow  (FOIL) 02 Champagne Flesh and HOLIKA HOLIKA - Foil Shock Shadow #Burnt Cherry   Even though these are glittery . The product didn't get all over the place

I am still holding on to Aeyegosal trend and I don't plan to let go of it anytime soon .. this HOLIKA HOLIKA Jewel Light Under Eye Maker made the whole process thousand time easier and fun with its dual tip to add sparkle and shadow

For that special kpop bling effect I added HOLIKA HOLIKA - Eye Spanglitter Mirror Ball parts to my lower lid.

I used HOLIKA HOLIKA - Jellime Highlighter on my cheeks. The jelly texture was a bit tricky to use but looked really beautiful

I used this HOLIKA HOLIKA - Wonder Lasting Survive Cream Shadow 03 #Bubble Gun as primer on my eyelid. This drys down semi matte and looks so pretty on its own

This is one of the best selling eyeshadow palette of 2020. And I don't disagree. All the colors in the HOLIKA HOLIKA - Terrazzo Shadow Palette 02 #Dusty are arranged in manner that it can be used for both day and night ocaasion

For brows I used HOLIKA HOLIKA Wonder Drawing Skinny Eyebrow which was a bit hard but after a few swipes it worked well for my brows. I also liked the creamy HOLIKA HOLIKA Wonder Drawing Skinny Eyeliner. It was very pigmented and drew a really thin line

I usually avoid korean mascara because thet are so hard to remove but this HOLIKA HOLIKA - Lash Correcting Mascara Special Set 01 #Hyper Curling came with a eye makeup remover so I took the risk. I liked the curl effect this gave to my lashes

The Star products of the look are these two Lip products

HOLIKA HOLIKA  HeartCrush Glow Tint Air Bae and Hush. As you can see the packaging is really cute moreover the finish leans toward the glossy/ moisturizing lip tint side so it makes the lips plump and juicy.

My makeup look was inspired from Pony Makeup. I used Nail decoration to add the bling effect and used dark maroon shadow from the tezarro palette as blush

Anua Skincare Review

I received these products in my mail a few weeks ago and after testing them for a while I am ready to share my thoughts on these

Anua is a korean skincare brand. Most of there products are catered for sensitive skin. And they use Heartleaf as their main ingredient

I will start my review in the manner I usually use the products.

Anua - Heartleaf 70% Mud Cream Mask

While the western mud masks usually focus on absorbing all the sebum from the face. The korean approach to the mud mask is very different. It focuses more on soothing skin, adding the moisture to the skin while gently absorbing the oils and impurities at the same time

A moisturizing mud cream mask formulated with 70% Houttuynia Cordata Extract that helps soothe sensitive skin and protect the skin from external irritations.
Provides gentle cleansing of skin impurities while keeping the skin hydrated.Contains 94% of naturally-derived ingredients and free from artificial colorants.

Normally I pack away my mud masks in Autumn and winter season as my skin is dey and flakey in colder season. But this just made me reconsider my decision this year. The mask has a nice creamy texture with a light herb like scent. It is very easy to spread. I washed this off with luke warm water after 10 mins and was really surprised to see bright and soft skin.

Anua - Heartleaf Gentle Facial Cleanser

Our skin has a PH of 5.5 and this cleanser maintains that normal PH of the skin with its subacidic formula.

A moisturizing foam cleanser formulated with 90% Houttuynia Cordata Extract that helps soothe sensitive skin and protect the skin from external irritations.Delivers gentle yet thorough cleansing of makeup and skin impurities. The sub-acidic formula with 90% of naturally-derived ingredients that keep the skin hydrated after cleansing.

This is marketed at a foam cleanser. The texture is has a bit of that pearl effect. It foams up well ( forms small bubbles) and is very gentle on the skin. I like the non drying gentle formula.

Anua - Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner

This surprised me the most. It looks like translucent/clear water in the bottle. But when I applied it to my hands I was surprised by the viscosity and the slip of the formula.

A moisturizing toner formulated with 77% Houttuynia Cordata Extract that helps soothe sensitive skin and protect the skin from external irritations. The sub-acidic formula helps maintain the oil-moisture balance of the skin.Inirritative and contains 11 types of EWG Green Grade ingredients that is suitable for all skin types.

It is very hydrating and soothinh. I have been using this as toner pack. Everyday and my skin looks so much better during the day. I think this is suitable for all skin types. It is gentle and hydrating a very basic and fool proof formula

Anua - Heartleaf 78% Soothing Cream

This is perhaps my fourth best face cream of this year and it is also the best I have ever tried this year. I like the squeeze tube packaging. It is very convenient and hygienic compared to tub

A moisturizing cream formulated with 78% Houttuynia Cordata Extract that helps soothe sensitive skin and protect the skin from external irritations. Features 5 types of moisturizing ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramide that help strengthen the moisture barrier of the skin. Contains 82% of naturally-derived ingredients

The formula is very light and feels like an emulsion. It is non greasy and absorbs within few seconds into the skin. It also has a light herb scent. This reminds me of my favorite good morning cream that I used up last year. It is soothing and works well under makeup.

So that wraps up my review of the Anua Skincare.
