[REVIEW] Etude House Play Color Eyes Palette in Beach Party

Previously Etude House had a lot of floral/ fruity themed palettes in Play Color Eyes range so the addition of Beach Party pallete is like a breath of fresh air. The colors lean more towards the cooler side of color spectrum and revolve around the beach/ aqautic theme.

There are 10 fun shades in this cute palette. The slim design along with a full size mirror make this very practical & travel friendly. They have included good quality sponge tip applicators which pack up the color on the lids really well (I prefer using this for the foil eyeshadow)

Previously the outer teal covering had a pink polka dot bikini on it but thankfully they have replaced the drawing with a palm tree ( the bikini looked a little rash in my opinion)
the back of the case is light pink in color and has sticker with the shade names on it.

I love how Etude House gave a unique name to each individual color and added little cute drawing as well on the plastic film. These little details make the palette more meaningful for example take the shade sunset beach. dusky coral color with flecks of gold sparkles is a true representation of sunset color.

There is a variety of different finishes in this palette like matte, foil, shimmery and satin shades

I found the 3 matte shades to be pigmented and easy to blend. the satins have excellent color payoff and found the shimmery/ foil shades very easy to work with

I am going to dive into each individual color and share my thoughts on texture and pignentation

Starting from the left side we have

High Tide:
this is your staple champagne color. Very pigmented easy to blend great for highlighting inner corners of eye

Sunset Beach :
My favorite color in the palette. Its a beautiful corally orange color with gold glitter. If used as a wash of color it looks quite sheer but once packed on it looks like foil

Like a Meramid :
A signature mermaid tail teal color this has a shimmery/satin finish. Deeply Pigmented and beautiful

▶ Shellfish on Rock:
The least pigmented color of this palette. this looks a beautiful matte purple color in pan but on swatching it looks so sheer. I think this can be worn for a natural daily makeup look for a hint of lavender on lids

Surfing Point:
This is a combination of blue and purple.  Blends seamlessly and a very unique color for smoky makeup look

Cave Shadow:
Greenish brown color with gold particles running through, Very pigmented but the color is a little difficult to pair for an eye look

▶ Wet & Wild : A very staple and basic reddish brown color. The formula is matte and is very pigmented. This blends like a dream. perfect for crease and lower lash line.

Sand Castle:
beige gold color. The finish is shimmery.

Cocktail shot:
A solid black matte color. I find this works great to smoke out my eyeliner

Cool dive: Another favorite of mine this has a shimmery finish. Looks beautiful on the lids. The color really pops due to intense pigmentation.

To be honest I didnt expect this level of pigmentation because korean eyeshadows are polular for sheer wash of color on the lids. Apart from the shade shellfish on the rock all eyeshadows have intense color and blend beautifully. The texture of these shadow is soft and velvety

In terms of fall out I have noticed that if you use sponge tip applicator or fingers to apply eyeshadow there is 0% fall out but some brushes ( specially one which have goat hair bristles) can cause fallout

Out of all the  Play Color Eyes range this palette is the one which stood out to me the most. I hate orange color and burgundy + pink colors make my eyes look bruised.

I find this to be the perfect all year round palette because the colors are versatile, bright, bold and look great on brown eyes
❤❤❤❤❤
