For the past few weeks my skincare and makeup routine has stabilized a lot. I have learned a lot more about products and my makeup application skills have improved considerably. One of the perks of wearing a face mask is that you can wear all sort of fun lipsticks and try different primer+foundation combinations and now one can tell if you are having a bad foundation day because about 70% of your face is covered
Today I will be sharing my makeup and skincare favourites ( products I have been reaching for the most )
I will start of with base products
Since it is summer I have fished out pore minimizing / skin mattifying primers in my makeup stash. Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Primer is something I bought this on Ssinim recommendation . And trust me I haven't found anything that performs as good as this primer so far. Its affordable , it is packaged well and it performs just like an expensive primer. Some pore minimizing primers can pill under foundation but this just smooths out the texture and makes the pores look small and insignificant.
This is a repurchase from Bioderma . And I shall continue to repurchase this as long as Bioderma continues to manufacture this product. If you have oily skin no let me re-quote if you have extremely greasy oil field like skin . I recommend you to try this. This just completely mattifies the skin. It is a bit pricey but the results justify the price tag.
Moving on we have this G9Skin Essence Cover Cushion . It initially had a ''S shaped '' pattern in the middle which had skin brightening pigments . But now that part has been used up. The tone up effect is gone still it is a really good cushion. It covers up really well and keeps the skin matte and plus the coverage is good
I know I should have mentioned this in my skincare favourites post but as this is primarily a sunstick so I decided to included this IOPE UV Shield Sunstick Foundation in my makeup favourites post. The texture is smooth but a little tricky to use as this can accentuate dry patches at times. Still I like this for everyday use when I want a minimal makeup look
For lip tints I have been using this PeriPera Ink Tint Serum everyday. It is pigmented , moisturizing and gives a lovely shine to the lips
The Merzy The First Gel Eyeliner is seriously the best gel liner you will ever find . It is smooth pigmented, budge proof and water proof. Then there is new favorite eyebrow product from Nature Republic By Flower line. The color matches my eyebrows and it is subtle and budgeproof.
Though the Drawing my Eyebrows from Etude House remains to be my most favourite eyebrow product . Recently I have developed some strong feelings for their stick eyeshadows specially the Bling Bling Eyeshadow stick It has a subtle bronze color with bold glitter
TonyMoly Double Cover Powder Pact is a solid winner for me. I have been reaching out for this powder pact a lot. It is finely milled. Gives a bit of coverage and mattifies the skin . I have already hit pan on this one
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect mascara. I love Essence mascaras . They are super easy to remove and gives maximum volume and length to my wispy non existent lashes. This is a cult favourite for all the good reasons.
Lastly Espoir Oil Cut Fixer is something I purchase as a birthday present and this is by far the best makeup setting spray I have tried. It has this nice floral scent and is infused with powder to hydrate the skin but control sebum at the same time.
This wraps up my makeup favourites for the year 2020 summer edition. I will be uploading my skincare favourites soon
