[Review] Chica Y Chico Killing Star Foam Cleanser

For a lazy person like me any product which claims to do the task in one step is a must try. After all who doesn't like to save time and energy ?

Features
Cleanses makeups, skin wastes, and fine dust at once to keep the skin clear and clean.
Plant oil complex provides nutrition to the skin while erasing makeups mildly.
Natural plant-derived surfactant and jojoba ester eliminate various skin wastes smoothly.

According to the brand this is like a 2 in 1 product. This product acts as a double cleanser and removes makeup and impurities from the skin. One of the special features is Dust kill capsules which gently exfoliate the skin while leaving the skin soft and moisturized

The packaging is a nice sturdy pump bottle with 150 ml product in it. To me the word killing star actually sounds funny :)

I initially expected this to feel somewhat like an oil but it has more of a honey like viscosity. There are small granular dust particles in the formula. I looked up online to see the nature of these particals and was relieved to find out that these are made up of jojoba esters not plastic

Though it does not feel oily it does contain four types of oil namely sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil , coconut oil and olive oil
The cleanser obtains it foaming /cleansing properties from succinic acid and palm oil

I pumped a dime size amount on my hand and gently massaged the product on to my face. This easily removed foundation, sebum , lipstick and eyeshadow from my face but some products like waterproof eyeliner and mascara were still there. The cleanser emulsifies with water to form bubbles. This has a somewhat sweet floral scent.

To me this is a good everyday cleanser which removes mild makeup layers easily without stripping skin moisture but for tough water proof makeup you might require another product

These black patches has specks of gold, pearl and diamond power for added bonus

The serun contains Niacinamide for brightening under eye area. You can use these under the eyes, cheekbones, forehead, and nasolabial fold or even your neck

These are Free of artificial coloring, fragrance, PEGs, silicon oil

The packaging is beautiful. I love the black container with gold details. This comes with a protective lid and a spatula which is really hygienic

The patches adhere firmly and give instant soothing and cooling sensation. What makes this stand out from the rest is that the patches don't dry out fast. The serum has a water like texture to it so it keeps the skin moist and hydrated for longer duration. Moreover the patches don't slip and slide so you can do house chores with this on without any worries. If you are sensitive to fragrance this is scent free

Overall I love the packaging and the patches. I think Benton has created another great product. These are great if you have rough dry skin, dark circles, wrinkles or dehydrated skin

[Review] TONYMOLY Tako Pore Bubble Pore Pack

This cute mask by TonyMoly has been around for quite sometime and I am sure many of you might have seen it  featured on instagram post or some youtube video

Features
The transforming texture efficiently cleanses the pores with the ample bubbles.
Natural mud and peat water ingredients absorb sebum and purifies the skin.
Dead sea salt, sea water, and taurine efficiently cares the pores clean.

Packaging
So the packaging is very cute as you can see. Tako in korean means octopus and this is exactly what this looks like ( my mother on the other hand disagrees and thinks that this looks like a cute dementor from Harry Potter )
The mask is enclosed in the base of the Tako which can be accessed by screwing off the top part. To reduce air exposure the mask has a plastic lid on top

The mask has a fluffy texture, it applies pretty much like a regular mud mask but after a few minutes it begans to bubble up. The bubbles are quite fine and feel comfortable ( some bubble mask cause tickling on the skin which can be a little uncomfortable). This smells like charcoal mixed in some nice smelling cleanser. The mud aping with bubbles and charcoal together deeply cleanse the pores and remove sebum and dead cells on the skin surface.

I wore this for 5 mins as the directions suggest and washed it off with water. The mask washed off easily. I could see my skin look somewhat clear, with a little bit of tone up effect . Though my skin felt soft, I did apply toner plus essence on my skin to balance any moisture loss.

 I think this mask does a great job to control sebum production. It also cleans the pores so they look less noticeable ( specially on the nose and cheek area). There is a common notion around cute products that they are gimmicky and waste of money but this mask by TonyMoly just nullifies that theory. The mask is not just pretty,  it delivers exactly what it claims on the packaging
