Shangpree S-Energy Repair Eye Cream : The 7 Week Eye Care Challenge

 This is my first time being a part of skincare challenge where I have consistently observed and documented my 7 weeks journey of improvement and change

Shangpree's proprietary, high-end S-Energy blend is paired with essential oils and botanicals to treat the sensitive and delicate skin surrounding the eye area. This eye cream gives a much needed boost to the eye area providing it with antioxidants and nutrients. An ideal pick for mature skin to fight and minimize existing fine lines and signs of aging

Claims:

(1) Hydrate with hyaluronic acid, argan oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, and panthenol

(2) Brighten dark circles with arbutin

(3) Renew skin cells and stimulate collagen production with oxygen and adenosine, which helps to firm the eye area and diminish fine lines

(4) Wake up the eye area with spearmint

Packaging: A very luxurious emerald green tube with gold accent. I love how beautiful the lid is. The nozzle is very helpful to apply the product directly under the eyes. I usually use my ring finger to gently pat in the cream

 

Texture:

This has a rich , smooth texture which is very eay to spread on the skin. It is not heavy or greasy and absorbs into the skin within a minute. Skin instantly feels soft and hydrated . I have been using this both day and night and I have noticed that does not pill under foundation or concealer. Many eyecreams block pores under eyes and causue milia which is cosmetically not very acceptable and makes the under eye area bumpy . But this is deeply moisturizing but not thick in a sense that it clogs pores. This has a really faint floral/citrusy scent to it so it is almost negligible. 

Week 1:  17th August 2020

Due to my long work hours and poor sleeping pattern my under eye area was in really poor state. I had premature wrinkles. Dark circles around my eyes along with and dry skin which was accentuated every time I did my makeup

Week 2:  23rd August 2020

1 week later my under eye was smooth and hydrated. The concealer blended easily. Though the dark circles looked pretty much the same . But my skin was moistured and looked better than first week.

Week 3: 30th August 2020

My under eye area was improved interms of hyper pigmentation and dry skin. the dark circles were reduced a little bit as well. Most importantly my the skin was plump and soft

Week 4: 6th September 2020

With 1 month of consistent use my under eyes looked remarkably better. The pre mature wrinkles around my eyes looked blur because of my plump skin. The dark circles were light to sn extend that. ( I skipped applying concealer under my eyes). Even though my sleep pattern was disturbed my under eye area was plump and made my me look awake and fresh 

Week 7 : 28th September 2020

Encouraged by the noticeable difference in my under eye area and the numerous compliments from my fellow colleagues at work . I continued using this eyecream for 7 weeks. I didn't notice any breakouts or milia from using this. Because of the hydration my premature wrinkles were blurred by the plump skin. The under eye circles were very light too. I felt more confident going outside with minimal to no makeup. And when I did wear makeup my foundation and concealer looked smooth during the whole duration. Even though 7 weeks challenge is over but I am still using this eyecream everyday. 

Many people think that eye cream is an extra  over priced step in the skincare routine but this 7 week Eyecream Challenge has changed my perspective on eyecreams forever. Just like sunscreen I think that eyecreams are crucial to achieve youthful healthy and smooth under eye area. Not all eyecreams are equal to do your research before purchasing any cream.

[Review] SHANGPREE Pore Tightening Mask

Shangpree is no stranger when it comes to Spa Care. Infact they are one of the most widely known and trusted Spa in Korea. Like most of the popular brands counterfeit  products is a really big issue . Jolse is an official distributor of SHANGPREE so you can sure that you are not getting a counterfeit product.

Shangpree is popular for its Modelling masks but I am am not a fan of modelling mask. So I picked a pore mask since huge pores is one of my skin concerns.

How To Use
Take an appropriate amount, spread evenly on the skin, wait 20~30 minutes for the mask to dry, and wash off the mask with lukewarm water

The packaging is very luxurious. It has a very expensive feel to it ( see the embossed design on the box) I am very happy to see this mask packed in a tube . Makes it so much easy to apply it to the face. Also prevents the mask from drying out . So one thing that is a common trait with mud masks is that they dry out the skin / suck out all the moisture. Which is a good thing in my skincare dictionary as I have oily skin and I love good sebum / pore clearing mask. But many people like mud masks which retain moisture in the skin to some extend

So according to the directions you are supposed to let the mask dry completely and then wash it off with luke warm water. I applied a medium thickness layer on my face and let the mask dry for 20 mins. Then proceeded to wash it off with tap water.

The non stimulating part is true it makes the pores less noticeable and makes skin look clean without over drying it. I find this to be a winter friendly mask as it does not makes the skin dry like a desert . Pore mask like these are hard to find . Specially if you are searching in the drugstore section. I have become a fan of Shanpree the hype which surrounds the brand is real
