Sunscreen Sunscreen Sunscreen I just cant have enough of them. I have been planning this post for a really long term time but I thought to wait for the unscented version and include it as a part of review too
I have reviewed all of these sunscreens individually in previous posts both on my blog and instagram. Incase you want to read an in-depth review with more pictures and details you can check the posts here and here
I have oily/dehydrated acne prone skin. And currently the city where I am residing is going through very hot and humid summer season ( 43C+ )
Physical and chemical sunscreens both work on the principles of absorbing UV waves and turning them into heat energy but Physical Sunscreen also reflectes about 5-10% of UV rays
I will start with the packaging:
Purito uses recycled card box for packing all its products. They take the word ''Green'' seriously. Some of these boxes have extra information, ingredients list and fun facts printed on the inside of the box
Another notable thing about these sunscreen is that Comfy Sunblock has blue details on tube while Safe Sun has Green details and Unscented version is white with Green Outline
Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun and PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun (read review here) are chemical sunscreens and have a distinct light green color. But the difference between the two is in the ingredients list. If you look closely you will see that the essentials oil ( Lavender oil and Nobilis flower oil) are completely removed from the Unscented Formula and that is why its 100% scent free
Both of these have an emulsion like quality to them they feel moisturizing on the skin and spread easily too. Initially when you rub it onto the skin its becomes white but within a minute or two it completely blends into the skin and leaves zero white cast
On other hand Purito Water Comfy Sunblock has a more of a cream like consistency , leaves no white cast, is a bit less moisturizing than the Purito Safe sun and leaves a somewhat matte finish . It also uses physical filters like Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for absorbing/reflecting UV rays
From my perspective ''Purito Water Comfy Sunblock is better suited for oily to combination skin, for hot, humid, summer weather or for those who prefer physical susncreens in general''
While ''Purito Centella Safe Sun is more moisturizing and suitable for people who prefer chemical sunscreen or have dry to normal skin, spend a lot of time in air conditioned room or the weather is dry and cold''
'' And for people who have sensitive skin and react to Lavender Oil, or prefer scent free sunscreens PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun is the best option ''
Purito recently announced that they will be releasing an unscented version of Purito Water Comfy Sunblock soon so keep your eyes peeled for the exciting launch
You can purchase Purito Water Comfy Sunblock, Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun and Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun all at Jolse
