[Review] VDL Lumilayer Primer

This is quite an old primer that even after several years of its launch remains a cult favourite primer and for good reason too

Though the concept of glass skin starting trending  last year or so this primer has been around for quite some time

Features:

- Violet Lumilayer Pigment, made by combining skin-brightening red light and blue light for clean and clear skin, creates an intensity that illuminates the face and highlights features.
- Gently illuminates the face to make skin tone look brilliant all day long.

The packaging is standard glass bottle with a very beautiful silver cap. The design is similar to the Vdl Lasting Foundation. It has a pump to dispense the product out

This primer has a slight floral scent. The primer itself is white with iridescent sheen to it. On the skin this sheen has a pinkish violet tinge to it.  The pearl particles add dimension to the face.

You can either mix this in with your foundation or apply this as a primer. The choice is yours to make. I like the subtle glow this adds to makeup. It gives that glow from within effect . Ever since I have started wearing this to work colleagues give me more complements on my skin.

Sometimes I also dab a small amount on my cheeks on top of foundation as a highlighter and it looks so beautiful. This is a great way to add hydration and make your makeup look glowy minus the greasy part.

You can purchase this bottle of Magic ''VDL Lumilayer Primer '' at Jolse.com

[Review] Vdl Perfecting Last Foundation V02

Launched by LG, Vdl is a Korean makeup brand popular for it lumilayer skin primer, pantone inspired eyeshadow palettes and inovative metal cushions
Today I am reviewing this ultra cool foundation which has been recommend by multiple korean makeup vloggers on youtube (Ssin has mentioned this in multiple videos)  This particular foundation has been compared to Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation due to similar formula. Though I personally dont own the said foundation but I have swatch tested my friend's Estee Lauder foundation and found the formula to have the same texture

VDL Perfecting Last Foundation Features

Light-Fitting Cover Complex™ minimizes skin faults with the powder complex.
Lumilayer Pigment™ expresses the skin bright without darkening.
Cares the wrinkles and expresses the skin smooth and comfortable.

The packaging gives off expensive makeup vibes. The holographic text over brown background looks really cool. I found the frosted glass bottle along with the purple cap very classy. One thing that is laudable about this foundation is that unlike Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation this has a pump so this makes the packaging hygienic plus you can dispense product according to your need with minimum wastage.

Upon dispensing, I noticed that this has a mild plesant scent which disappears shortly after application. The formula is very light weight and builable and has a runny texture. Its mentioned multiple times on bottle and packaging to shake well prior to use.

This provides full coverage but you can tone it down to your taste with a help of damp makeup sponge or a kabuki brush. I personally prefer using my fingers to blend this into the skin.

I choose color V02 after a lot speculation. This has  a yellow tone to it. Luckliy for me this is blends nicely giving a hint of brightness.

The foundation sets to an almost matte finish  few minutes after application. Unlike many heavy duty foundations this gives a slight glow to the skin so complexion does not ends up looking flat. I didn't feel the need to layer up concealer under my eyes as this did an excellent job in covering my dark circles and scars. This blur out pores and applies beautifully without accentuating dry spots or flaky skin

I have worn this with and without primer. I think hydrating primers underneath this foundation enhance glow and make the complexion look more lively.

Compared to foundations/bb creams in my makeup stash this does last on my face without looking oily for 5 hrs. I haven't noticed any kind of oxidation or color change during my wear time of 8hrs. Another cool thing I have noticed is that this holds up so well in humidity and sweat. The holika holika pore cover bb cream that I have been using for years breaks up into these gross looking islands on my face due to sweat but the Vdl Perfecting Last Foundation looks fresh throughout the day

Since this has somewhat of a waterproof quality so I suggest removing this with an oil cleanser. I wish Vdl would expand the shade range because this has 4 shades in 3 different tones and which is very narrow shade range

You can purchase this Fantastic foundation on Jolse for 23.49$
