One Brand Makeup Bonnie Choice [Review]

BONNIE CHOICE is the newly launched makeup line at Bornprettystore.com
I have tried out a few items from the range and today I am sharing my views on them

I will start with the
Bonnie Choice Retractable Blush Brush
ID 43327( $3.59)
This is such a cool innovative product. The packaging is small and compact and very travel friendly. Most of the times when I am traveling I refrain from taking my makeup brushes along with me because they end up looking ruffled and the bristles become damage in my makeup bag but this brush has a retractable mechanism. The bristles retract into the golden case and stay safe in the makeup bag.
The brush is good quality. I found the bristles to be desne and easy to work with sometimes I pack on powder with this brush

BONNIE CHOICE Smooth Loose Face  Brighten Finish Powder ID 42606 ( $3.99)
this is multipurpose product which works great to set foundation and also as a dry shampoo . I found the packaging very sturdy. The tiny sqaure holes allow the powder to collect on the top plastic cover. The puff is nice and helps with the application.
Unlike other loose powder I have in my collection this contains 8g of product which is going to last me a very long time. I choose the shade 1 which is translucent so it does not leave any white cast on the face

BONNIE CHOICE Rose Gold False Eyelash Tweezer ID: 42981 ( $2.99)
I have seen a lot of makeup artists apply false lashes eith a help of tweezer and when I finally got the opportunity to try this my self I was amazed by the results.
This beautiful cosmetic tool makes the whole false lashes application feel like a dream. Bit tricky to apply magnetic lashes with these but they work so well with regular lashes. I dont have to struggle with the lash band anymore or hild the corners doen with two fingers

BONNIE CHOICE Long Lasting Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil with Brush
ID: 43036( $2.9)
I like the sleek black packaging with gold lettering across it. It looks aesthetically pleasing. the pencil has a soft texture and is pigmented the sharp edges help to create thick and thin lines and fill in eyebrows.
What makes this more convenient is the spoolie brush on the other end. This is my current everyday eyebrow pencil. Because it has twist up mechanism I don't have to sharpen it every morning

BONNIE CHOICE Magnetic False Eyelashes   ID: 42512 ( $3.99 )
Cant get over the glittery silver back ground of lash case. The case prevents lashes from being damaged and prevent them from being lost. I have lost so many lashes because I keep them in random boxes and later I accidentally throw them out.
Due you know these lashes are magneticso no lashe glue is required just stick these over your regular lashes. These are beautiful and look very natural on the eyes. The lash band is very thin. But a little difficulty to use. I think I require more practice with these for perfect application

Lastly is this Pink Heart Brush. I got this solely because it looks so pretty but this works so well with loose powder and applying highlighter. The bristles are soft and are made of synthetic fibers

[Review] Vdl Perfecting Last Foundation V02

Launched by LG, Vdl is a Korean makeup brand popular for it lumilayer skin primer, pantone inspired eyeshadow palettes and inovative metal cushions
Today I am reviewing this ultra cool foundation which has been recommend by multiple korean makeup vloggers on youtube (Ssin has mentioned this in multiple videos)  This particular foundation has been compared to Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation due to similar formula. Though I personally dont own the said foundation but I have swatch tested my friend's Estee Lauder foundation and found the formula to have the same texture

VDL Perfecting Last Foundation Features

Light-Fitting Cover Complex™ minimizes skin faults with the powder complex.
Lumilayer Pigment™ expresses the skin bright without darkening.
Cares the wrinkles and expresses the skin smooth and comfortable.

The packaging gives off expensive makeup vibes. The holographic text over brown background looks really cool. I found the frosted glass bottle along with the purple cap very classy. One thing that is laudable about this foundation is that unlike Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation this has a pump so this makes the packaging hygienic plus you can dispense product according to your need with minimum wastage.

Upon dispensing, I noticed that this has a mild plesant scent which disappears shortly after application. The formula is very light weight and builable and has a runny texture. Its mentioned multiple times on bottle and packaging to shake well prior to use.

This provides full coverage but you can tone it down to your taste with a help of damp makeup sponge or a kabuki brush. I personally prefer using my fingers to blend this into the skin.

I choose color V02 after a lot speculation. This has  a yellow tone to it. Luckliy for me this is blends nicely giving a hint of brightness.

The foundation sets to an almost matte finish  few minutes after application. Unlike many heavy duty foundations this gives a slight glow to the skin so complexion does not ends up looking flat. I didn't feel the need to layer up concealer under my eyes as this did an excellent job in covering my dark circles and scars. This blur out pores and applies beautifully without accentuating dry spots or flaky skin

I have worn this with and without primer. I think hydrating primers underneath this foundation enhance glow and make the complexion look more lively.

Compared to foundations/bb creams in my makeup stash this does last on my face without looking oily for 5 hrs. I haven't noticed any kind of oxidation or color change during my wear time of 8hrs. Another cool thing I have noticed is that this holds up so well in humidity and sweat. The holika holika pore cover bb cream that I have been using for years breaks up into these gross looking islands on my face due to sweat but the Vdl Perfecting Last Foundation looks fresh throughout the day

Since this has somewhat of a waterproof quality so I suggest removing this with an oil cleanser. I wish Vdl would expand the shade range because this has 4 shades in 3 different tones and which is very narrow shade range

You can purchase this Fantastic foundation on Jolse for 23.49$

[Review] TonyMoly Fabric Collection Crystal Lace Blusher : Camelia Red

Due to a sudden shift in temperature and climate I have regained my energy to write reviews so here is its another cute korean makeup product , this time from Tony Moly
Tonymoly Fabric Collection is a limited edition collaboration with Kelly Park Studio so the products are available in limited quantities.

To be honest the cute floral design is what that actually drew me in and I am glad that I got this blush because not only is this particular shade pretty to look at but its pigmented as well.

Admittedly these are not one of a kind. Japanese makeup brand Canmake and Milani has something similar to it.

The packaging is transparent, small and conpact there is no mirror or brush. Over all the design is classy and feminine

There are total of 6 shades in the collection   3 of them are blushes, 2 shades for contouring and 1 for highlighting

I picked out shade 03 Camelia red

Red blushes have been trending recently  ( Beauty Guru Pony Makeup has been using Red blush in her tutorials and that tinge of red across her cheeks looks so flattering)

As you can see there is a variation of colors in a single pan. You can either use an individual color on your cheeks / eye lid or swirl the brush in the pan for a soft pastel look.

The rose part is red in color. It as a soft velvety texture and is the most pigmented shade in the bunch. The color leans toward warm side and shows up easily on the skin. ( my friend has slightly tan skin than me and this was visible on her skin as well).

Next is the orange flower its not as pigmented as red but more pigmented than yellow shade. There is golden shimmer running through it. This shade is soft but a little powdery. This shows up on the skin as well not too bright but gives a natural flush to the cheeks.

The yellow flower is to brighten up complexion. Its not much pigmented and it took me multiple swipes to make this show up on camera. I like to use this as a matte powder highlight.

Lastly the lace part is white and in my eyes serves the purpose of pressed powder as I cant spot any shimmer in it. This shade blends into the skin due to its translucent nature

Swirled together these give a reddish coral flush to the cheeks. I personally like to load my brush with the red shade as it gives me that snow white effect and really enhances my complexion.

After using the blush from Heimish blush palette I wasn't surprised by the pigmentation level of this product. Unlike western makeup brands Korean makeup promotes natural makeup so the products are not heavily pigmented. I find this blush very suitable for poeple who have fair to light skin, love collecting cute makeup products, or those who are starting out with makeup as this gives room to mistakes and error.

Though this might be a disappointment for darker skin tones I personally like the sheer water color like effect this imparts on the cheeks. For a more intesnse look you can build it up by layering the product several time over your cheek.
On sad thing about this blush is that embossed floral pattern wears off with use so after multiple uses it going to look plain and ordunary like other blushes in my collection

If this blush has sparked you interest you can purchase this at jolse for 8.48$

[ Review ] Nature Kind Clear Pads

Things have become very hectic for me lately. If I were to go to a doctor this is what he would diagnose me with : A serious case of ''Toner Pads Addiction''.
I have been trying a bunch of toner pads lately because I love the dual functionality they provide. Nature kind was recently launched on Jolse and I found their toner pads very promising so here I am reviewing these for you all today

If you are new to the whole toner pads bandwagon here is some info for you

These are daily moisturizing one step pads which give a boost of hydration, remove dust and sebum, help in clearing out acne and mildly exfoliate the skin.

Features
It controls overactive sebum and exfoliates keratin, dead skin cells to make soft, smooth, well hydrated, glowing skin.
One side is embossed cotton, and the other side is soft cotton which facilitates peeling and pore care.
Green(Safety) grade recognized by the US non-profit environmental NGO, EWG, very suitable for use with sensitive skin.
Contains vitamin ingredient which provides pore care and moisturizes the skin.
Green tea extract and Provence rose water ingredient soothe irritated skin.
It also has an anti-blemish effect.

Its not that easy to get approval/ certification from EWG so this brand has actually worked a lot on their ingredient list to cut out all the unnecessary toxic chemicals from their product.

There are about 70 pads soaked in 155ml of toner solution. Looking at the packaging I like the neat design and the clear plastic tub. Though its a little bulky but the tub can definitely be repurposed 💗.

After removing the seal i noticed that this has a really mild ( non artificial ) grape fruit/ citrus scent. There was an excess of toner in the tub which I accidentally spilled ( silly me )
Compared to other toner pads these are actually large in size (nearly same size as cosrx for reference) I am considering cutting  these in half so that I can get more uses out of one tub

One side of the pad has an embossed design while the other has a smooth surface. These are slightly more thick than purito and cosrx pads. Hence soak more toner and can be used as mini face masks.

If you concentrate on the ingredient list. There is a lot of good stuff like anti oxidants, acne fighting, skin calming and brightening agent's like grape fruit extract, citric acid, witch hazel water and rosa centafolia water.

Initially I used these in the morning to clean my skin,  instead of toner and moisturizer but due to shortage of time I shifted these to my night time routine and boy these feel like a treat for my skin. The toner has a clear water like texture minus the stickiness. It does such a good job of removing residual makeup and hydrating my skin. I have noticed that the pads gently remove the dead flaky skin from my face and help to decongest the clogged pores. So my skin is prepped in advance for the morning makeup routine.

The embossed designs gently buffs the skin. My cheeks and forhead feel so smooth.
Some times I like to wipe my neck and back with these pads as I have noticed that the formulation is actually effective for acne.
Honestly speaking these have put a lid on my humidy breakout issue. Ever since I have incorporated these into my routines. My sweat induced acne has cleared up. All those pesky little raised bumps on my cheeks and forhead have dried up and are gone

I find these really good. And would suggest them to all skin types even sensitive skin. Psst want to grab these at a good price ? Jolse often has massive sales and discounts on many products so add these to your cart as soon they go on sale.

You can buy these at Jolse here for 18.30$

[REVIEW] Etude House Play Color Eyes Palette in Beach Party

Previously Etude House had a lot of floral/ fruity themed palettes in Play Color Eyes range so the addition of Beach Party pallete is like a breath of fresh air. The colors lean more towards the cooler side of color spectrum and revolve around the beach/ aqautic theme.

There are 10 fun shades in this cute palette. The slim design along with a full size mirror make this very practical & travel friendly. They have included good quality sponge tip applicators which pack up the color on the lids really well (I prefer using this for the foil eyeshadow)

Previously the outer teal covering had a pink polka dot bikini on it but thankfully they have replaced the drawing with a palm tree ( the bikini looked a little rash in my opinion)
the back of the case is light pink in color and has sticker with the shade names on it.

I love how Etude House gave a unique name to each individual color and added little cute drawing as well on the plastic film. These little details make the palette more meaningful for example take the shade sunset beach. dusky coral color with flecks of gold sparkles is a true representation of sunset color.

There is a variety of different finishes in this palette like matte, foil, shimmery and satin shades

I found the 3 matte shades to be pigmented and easy to blend. the satins have excellent color payoff and found the shimmery/ foil shades very easy to work with

I am going to dive into each individual color and share my thoughts on texture and pignentation

Starting from the left side we have

High Tide:
this is your staple champagne color. Very pigmented easy to blend great for highlighting inner corners of eye

Sunset Beach :
My favorite color in the palette. Its a beautiful corally orange color with gold glitter. If used as a wash of color it looks quite sheer but once packed on it looks like foil

Like a Meramid :
A signature mermaid tail teal color this has a shimmery/satin finish. Deeply Pigmented and beautiful

▶ Shellfish on Rock:
The least pigmented color of this palette. this looks a beautiful matte purple color in pan but on swatching it looks so sheer. I think this can be worn for a natural daily makeup look for a hint of lavender on lids

Surfing Point:
This is a combination of blue and purple.  Blends seamlessly and a very unique color for smoky makeup look

Cave Shadow:
Greenish brown color with gold particles running through, Very pigmented but the color is a little difficult to pair for an eye look

▶ Wet & Wild : A very staple and basic reddish brown color. The formula is matte and is very pigmented. This blends like a dream. perfect for crease and lower lash line.

Sand Castle:
beige gold color. The finish is shimmery.

Cocktail shot:
A solid black matte color. I find this works great to smoke out my eyeliner

Cool dive: Another favorite of mine this has a shimmery finish. Looks beautiful on the lids. The color really pops due to intense pigmentation.

To be honest I didnt expect this level of pigmentation because korean eyeshadows are polular for sheer wash of color on the lids. Apart from the shade shellfish on the rock all eyeshadows have intense color and blend beautifully. The texture of these shadow is soft and velvety

In terms of fall out I have noticed that if you use sponge tip applicator or fingers to apply eyeshadow there is 0% fall out but some brushes ( specially one which have goat hair bristles) can cause fallout

Out of all the  Play Color Eyes range this palette is the one which stood out to me the most. I hate orange color and burgundy + pink colors make my eyes look bruised.

I find this to be the perfect all year round palette because the colors are versatile, bright, bold and look great on brown eyes
❤❤❤❤❤

You can purchase this palette at jolse for 22.47 $ here
