[Review] TONYMOLY Double Cover Cushion SPF37 PA+++ 13g

In my mind I always thought of Tony Moly as a brand which created cute makeup and skincare items but I was taken by surprise when I saw the newly launched Double Cover cushion.

This not only looks good in pictures but feels luxe in flesh as well. The packaging is really good quality and the contrast of deep blue with gold details feels regal. The compact is not bulky or heavy . To me it looks and weights just like a standard cushion.

The cushion puff feels so soft and squishy, the space is aqeduate to place fingers and the strap feels sturdy. This is my first time trying out a base product by Tony Moly so I was a bit skeptic if the shade would look gray or too pale on me

Upon removing the seal I was so relieved to see that the cushion looked more warm toned. One thing worth noting is that this particular cushion was more porous than regular cushions. I don't know if this add any benefit to the product but this feature did stood out to me so I thought I should mention

This contains 13g of product which is less than standard cushion

The foundation feels very watery yet intensely pigmented. When I dipped the cushion puff . The foundation came out in the forms of bubbles ( maybe because the porous structure).

It spread evenly on the face and felt moisturizing. This cushion definitely lives up to its name. It provides twice the coverage of a regular cushion. Most of blemishes and spots on my face were covered and I didnt had to use an under eye concealer for my dark circles.

The finish this gives is semi matte, medium to full coverage. I wouldn't recommend layering this cushion because it becomes cakey and looks very un natural with two layers. Just one layer is adequate to cover the skin.

The cushion has surprised me immensely with its great coverage and semi matte finish.  I think this will work great for any one who has blemishes or some imperfections to cover. The shade 21 worked as a really great match for my fair skin . It wasn't too light or too dark for my skin color.

[Review] MISSHA Glow Ampoule Pact

One of the popular product from Missha's newly launched Glow line. From what I have learned this product has received a lot of awards and was No#1 at Glowpick so its  very popular in Korea

It is excellent at fitting for adhesive power and long-lasting coverage for fine lines and imperfection to create flawless base maekup all day long without darkening

This pact comes in just two shades which is sad because the glow foundation and cushion have  a little diverse shade and includes a lot of different skin tones. I have the shade 21

Starting with the packging its a beautful rose colored . Unlike the glow cushion this is not reflective. The packaging is actually a little bulky but still I find this practical and easy to carry around.

Though the mirror has a plastic cover, the product itself didn't have any. ( so dont panic and think that the product was opened before, thats how the brand packaged this ok !!)

The cushion puff is off white and soft. Like I have said before, I love Missha's Cushion puff . They strap on the back is sturdy, it puff does not come apart even after multiple washes and it applys foundation  nicely

As you can see the white colored swirly/marble pattern contains white part along with foundation to brighten and tone up complexion. I just cant express how hard it was to destroy the beautiful pattern. But I had to  :( how else would I have tried it ?

On first application I got more of the white tone up ampoule part on my puff and my face looked white but on second application I got foundation and the ampolue part in nice ratio on the puff

The formula feels very moisturizing on the skin. But despite its moisturizing qualities it adheres to the skin and does not trafer to fingers, clothes or cellphone. Since the formula is a little on the heavier side this is great for winter's . The foundation smooths out imperfections, gives sheer to medium coverage ( this pact is buildable ).

What impressed me the most was that this is honestly very long lasting i didn't felt the need to touch up my foundation even after 8 hrs because it was there. Though some parts on my looked oily and I had to blot them . The rest of my face with foundation  looked great. 

I have oily skin I am enjoying this ampoule pact a lot as it gives me a nice glowy finish.

You are probably going to enjoy this If you like Glass skin trend, or if you are looking for a moisturizing/glowy foundation regardless of your skin type, or you have dry skin

[Review] A’pieu Perfect Cover Wonder Tension Cushion

After trying out the missha glow tension pact I decided to explore more brands in this particular category

Cover type tension pact for smooth and flawless skin. Perfect cover helps light skin expression. It fits uniformly and makes it look like the original good skin. It sticks like a magnet and keeps long without darkening.

Starting with the packaging its sleek and expensive looking. I like the square design its so unique and edgy than the usually round cushion compacts. One thing worth mentioning is that APIEU releases new cover designed for this specific cusion every year.

 This has a nice large mirror . There is a net like mesh which dips easily when you press the sponge into it. Unlike a cushion foundation this has free liquid foundation under the mesh so if you accidentally store the pact upside down . The product will leak. Also one more advice when using this product is not press in too hard. Because it picks a ton of product that way.

Initially this had a moisturing layer on top which felt a little heavy on skin but then the foundation it self feels thick on sponge
 This is a high coverage foundation but to me this feels more like a medium coverage ( I dont know if its because of the layer or the product is not homogenized properly)
Anyways first off the color was a lot lighter than I expected it to be. I have fair skin but this was very light and pale. Secondly it wasn't as high coverage asvi hoped it would be

The foundation was easy to spread. It gave a somewhat dewy finish to my skin. I think the best way to work with this pact is to apply it smalls sections, that way you can easily increase coverage and get an even smooth finish.

This didn't cause any breakouts even though the texture felt a little heavier than what I usually wear on my face.

I think the slim case makes this a great option for travelling. The shade range is actually a little disappointing but this is actually a really good cushion pact.

[Review] B&Soap BRENI YELLOW WASH OFF PACK

Since I have dull, oily skin I enjoy mud packs a lot as they suck out all the gunk from the pores and keep the skin look matte and clear.

I picked this mask for no special reason other than the fact that it was yellow and contained propolis ( so I thought it would be suitable for winters too )

Features

This BRENI YELLOW WASH OFF PACK makes skin smooth and bright. Honey and propolis make your skin more smooth and help anti aging by supplying nutrients and some kinds vitamin.

How To Use
Take a proper amount with a built-in spatula and spread evenly over the face except around the eyes and mouth.
Wait for the content to dry completely, then rinse with lukewarm water.

Main Ingredients: Contains Propolis, Honey, Lime, Turmeric, Carrot

The packaging is very similar to an organic American skincare brand ( I haven't tried that particular brand myself). I love the fact that the mask comes in a black plastic tub which looks so aesthetically appealing against the yellow mask pack. There is also a small spatula to scoop out the product ( very thoughtful of the brand to include the spatula) this contains 130 g of product which is great since I share my skincare with my sister ( we both have oily skin). One thing that receives my full appreciation is that ingredients are stated in English so I don't need Google Translate help to decipher the working of this mask pack

This has a nice scent.  I personally dont mind scents as long as they are not overpowering and suffocating its like propolis. The texture is like a cake batter ( I can't think of any other way to describe this ) its thick but spreads easily.

Though the directions state to use it for 5 - 10 mins I wore this for 20 mins ( the mask still wasn't completely dry ) . I noticed that this washed off easily without much effort and didn't cling to my nose or eyebrow hair.

After patting my face dry with a towel I noticed how relatively bright my skin looked but felt soft at the same ( this was totally unexpected from this mask )
This didnt made my break out the next day. I have used this a couple of times and I think this is good enough to be used 2-3 times a week.  I am going to put this mask away for now and use this when the weather becomes a little warm because its cold right now and this wet mask activates the mucous glands in my nose

The packaging is not suitable for travelling I am afraid as its bulky . But you can totally decant a small amount of this in a small container and take it along with you on a trip

So far I am very happy with my new discovery and can't wait to use it again next month. Though this 130ml is a lot of product and will take a lot of time using up. I am going to get another one in future if I ran out of this one

SNP Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch review

So basically today's post is something which might sound a little gross at first just like snail slime (remember how everyone freaked out when they first heard about skin slime infused skincare) but once you witness the miracle on your skin you are probably going to forget that its acutually bird's spit that has lead your skin to look so bright and glowy.

So today I am posting a review on another hydrogel eye patch that I have been using for a really long time. SNP Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch contains Swiftlet Nest Extract 1,000mg . Incase you don't know Bird Nest is bird's saliva and is one of the expensive ingredients that has been used in traditional chinese medicine for years . It contains a fair amount of proteins, carbohydrates and various minerals which help to keep skin moist, prevent dryness, reduce dullness and make skin supple and luminous.

Water, glycerin, calcium, chloride, butylene, glycol, ceratonia siliqua gum, xanthan gum, chondrus crispus (carrageenan), PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, alcohol, hydroxyethylcellulose, mica, ferric ferrocyanide, tin oxide, titanium dioxide, calcium titanium borosilicate, sapphire powder, swiftlet nest extract (1,000 mg), sodium lauronate, cucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract, rosa centifolia flower water, chamaecyparis obtusa water, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, betaine, allantoin, disodium EDTA, scutellaria baicalensis root extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, houttuynia cordata extract, Artemisia vulgaris extract, citrus junos fruit extract, 1,2-hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, ethyl hexanediol, citrus grandis (grapefruit) seed extract, bambusa textilis stem extract, pinus palustris leaf extract, chlorphenesin, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, fragrance.

These 60 patches are packed in a beautiful slim, blue plastic tub. Since hydrogel patches tend to dry up fast. SNP went a step further to make these last longer by adding a sturdy plastic cover on top to prevent evaporation of serum/essence from the tub. So there is a silver seal followed by a plastic cover to minimise drying.

The patches are shaped differently than regular hydrogel eye mask. They are some what petal shaped. The shape is unique and different so you can probably not only use them as under eye patches but also on your laugh line and other area's of the face which need a little help

The patches have a lovely pale blue color and are infused with Sapphire powder hence the shine and iridescent particles (Side note sapphire is my favourite precious stone ). Instead of a small spatula SNP added a very generous shaped spatula to this box which makes it super easy to scoop out patches.

I have already worn these under my eyes and around my cheek area to hydrate the dry spots. These patches add an instead boost of moisture to the skin. I have been wearing these under my eyes quite frequently to combat dark circles and they do such a great job to make my under eyes look more bright and my face look less tired

These are really great for special occasions on when you overwork because these patches give cooling effect which feels so soothing .
The effect is not permanent so you do need to use them frequently to see the results last for some days. But just 20 mins of these patches under my eyes transforms my face and makes my makeup go on smoothly under the eyes.

I do see myself purchasing these in the near future again as I like the results these delivered even though it's temporary. Sometimes we all need products which provide instant results. Its a busy world and every one is short on time or at least that's how it is for me. So I reach out for those products more which can trasnform me into an beautiful swan instantly.
