Summer Beauty Buys 2019 at Jolse

Bring warmth and color to your face with this univeral shading compact from Too Cool for school art class by Rodin Shading (purchase this at Jolse) The colors look natural. Three colors in a single compact. Good color payoff. This is one of the recommended items at Jolse. ( my full review is here)

You cant go out in the sun without a sunscreen and one sunscreen which is currently very popular in the korean beauty community is the COSRX Shield Fit All Green Comfort Sun SPF50+ ( purchase this at Jolse here) it does give a white cast but the formula is non sticky and feels matte. [Review] A’pieu Perfect Cover Wonder Tension Cushion

After trying out the missha glow tension pact I decided to explore more brands in this particular category

Cover type tension pact for smooth and flawless skin. Perfect cover helps light skin expression. It fits uniformly and makes it look like the original good skin. It sticks like a magnet and keeps long without darkening.

Starting with the packaging its sleek and expensive looking. I like the square design its so unique and edgy than the usually round cushion compacts. One thing worth mentioning is that APIEU releases new cover designed for this specific cusion every year.

 This has a nice large mirror . There is a net like mesh which dips easily when you press the sponge into it. Unlike a cushion foundation this has free liquid foundation under the mesh so if you accidentally store the pact upside down . The product will leak. Also one more advice when using this product is not press in too hard. Because it picks a ton of product that way.

Initially this had a moisturing layer on top which felt a little heavy on skin but then the foundation it self feels thick on sponge
 This is a high coverage foundation but to me this feels more like a medium coverage ( I dont know if its because of the layer or the product is not homogenized properly)
Anyways first off the color was a lot lighter than I expected it to be. I have fair skin but this was very light and pale. Secondly it wasn't as high coverage asvi hoped it would be

The foundation was easy to spread. It gave a somewhat dewy finish to my skin. I think the best way to work with this pact is to apply it smalls sections, that way you can easily increase coverage and get an even smooth finish.

This didn't cause any breakouts even though the texture felt a little heavier than what I usually wear on my face.

I think the slim case makes this a great option for travelling. The shade range is actually a little disappointing but this is actually a really good cushion pact.

[Review] A’pieu True Melting Lipstick CR04 Hey You

Umm yes I am reviewing another lipstick Its honestly so hard to hold yourself back when it comes to lipsticks. The sleek packaging is what lured me in this time :)

I havent tried that many things from A'pieu so I was a bit apprehensive about the performance.

Starting with the packaging, this has a shiny black rectangular metallic casing with True written in Gold lettering on one cormer. The magnetic closure mechanism is super cool because one I dont own any lipsticks in my stash with a metallic casing and two because I dont have to fear about my lipstick smearing all over in my purse ( the magnet is strong and closes the lipstick with a very satisfying snap )

The color selection is good especially for fall. I had such a hard time settling on a single color. Eventually after a long mental debate I choose CR04 because this is the kind of shade you can wear all year long.

The finish is semi matte, Its some what between gloss and a matte lipstick.
The lasting power is average. its not compatible with eating and drinking. ( transfers easily). The pigmentation is good. Single swipe deliver medium opacity to the lips for a more intense color you can definitely build up the color by swiping it again. This works great with other lipsticks. I layered this with my wet n wild megalast lipstick and loved the gradient look.

This doesnt stain the lips. It fades evenly.  Due to it somewhat satin finish. It doesn't accentuate dry patches or cracks on my lips. Infact my lips looks smooth, plump and very lively.

CR04 ( Hey, you)  is beautiful reddish brown with a hint of orange color. This is kind of shade that looks flattering on all skin types you can wear this as mlbb color everyday or pair it with an intense eyemakeup look.

Overall I love the straight round bullet and the gold details plus the minimalist packaging. It looks so sophisticated. I am probably going to pick a few more shades from this brand as this is a really good lipstick and I am impressed.
