[Review] Holika Holika Gold Kiwi Vita C+ Brightening Sleeping Cream

I use sleeping mask on regular basis. It makes significant changes to my skin texture in the morning. Specially on nights when I have a specially occasion/event lined up. I slather a good layer of sleeping mask to lock in the moisture and plumpness

Haenam Gold Kiwi, full of warm sunlight, mild sea breeze, and the spirit of ocher soil, delivers the fragrance and efficacy of gold kiwi to the skin. Kiwi extract and 12 vitamins alleviate minor skin blemishes. It fills the skin's nutrients as if it was a good night's sleep, making it vibrant and clear.

Cream that takes care of damaged skin during the day with clear and bright skin as if it were a deep sleep.

- Kiwi extract and vitamin C ingredients improve blemishes

- Improving dull and clear complexion

- Take care of dry skin by preventing moisture evaporation

The packaging is a bright yellow colored squeeze tube. Personally I prefer this kind  packaging over tubs because of hygienic reasons. The color makes this stand out on my vanity.

This sleeping cream has gel like texture. It is easy to apply to the skin. Because of summer weather is very hot and humid. Which means heavy moisturizers are a big No No for me. Thankfully this is very lightweight. And absorbs easily into the skin . I have noticed small white capsules/granules suspended in the light yellow gel , which instantly dissolve on touch. It can leave a slightly oily film on the skin if you use too much so use according to your skin type. For reference I have oily skin and I use more than dime size amount for my face

I have been using this for two weeks now and I have noticed difference in overall skin texture and tone. My skin is a lot smoother. My makeup applies quite well too in the morning. My skin tone looks even as well.

I also love the citrus scent of this mask. Some days I apply it to my face in the morning too as a regular moisture. The scent really refreshes me. Holika Holika Gold Kiwi like is available on Yesstyle for Purchase.

Because of intense moisturizing properties I sometimes also apply it to my dry chapped hands at night before going to sleep. And I wake up with soft and healed hands in the morning. So if you work in hospital or wash your hands more than an average person . This is going to work so well for you

[Review] Holika Holika Pastel Haze Collection Piece Matching Blusher Clean Series

Watercolor cheeks or cloudy pastel cheeks are always treading in South Korea. They add an cute dreamy touch to the makeup. Holika Holika Launched these cute blusher this year as a part of their 2021 Pastel Haze Collection

With its unrivaled texture and soft granularity, the clear color naturally melts into the skin, creating vibrant cheeks. It is a powder-type formulation, but with a creamy and transparent texture, it provides pure color and soft water color and color development. The silky powder that adheres well to the skin adheres tightly to the skin surface, creating a long lasting cheek without modifying the skin throughout the day.

The packaging is really compact and tiny. I love the clear acrylic design. You can easily see the color through the transparent lid. But the bad things is that scratches easily so it can look worn down really fast

There are three colors in the collection

# Clean Salmon ( a pastel orange toned salmon color like warm petals of tiger lilies)

# Clean Pink (an innocent pastel pink color reminds me of pink cotton candy and strawberry ice-cream )

# Clean Lavender ( a pastel cool toned lavender shade which reminds one of crisp morning sky)

All the colors are white based so they can look chalky on darker skin color. Since they are pastel you have to swipe your brush several times in the pan to see the color pay off. The powder are soft but does not crumble easily with fingers. I am very clumsy with blush application so I find this to be perfect for a makeup beginner like me as the colors are not heavily pigmented. I have noticed that these blushe  add a hint of sheen to the face .

I usually wear these on their own for work but some days I layer this with a pigmented blush to create a gradient/water color effect

All of the colors are unique and pretty.  And they come with a really affordable price tag as well

Which one out of the three blushers is favourite ?

[Review] HOLIKA HOLIKA Water Vibe Tint

I was honestly so devastated when my favourite water bomb lip tint was discontinued by Holika Holika . I searched for it online but most of the stores which had it instock were selling it in clearance ( it was close to the expiry date) . So when Holika Holika Launched these water vibe tints I was ecstatic too see the same concept back inaction

Comes in 6 different colors, presents a water-bomb-like moisturizing and translucent look on lips. Glides on lips smoothly and adheres long-lastingly with waterproof effect. Helps to create juicy lips with high pigmentation.

Colors Available:

#01 Whoopee: Raspberry-like pink

#02 Gulp: Light cool pink

#03 Splat: Rosy pink coral

#04 Puddle: Coral orange

#05 Dipped: Reddish brick brown

#06 Gogo: Cherry-like red

Packaging of these lipsticks is very simple. The plastic case is color coded so dont have to open the lid to find out the color. The bullet has an interesting water drop shape so makes the whole application very crisp and precise . Overall the plastic is really good quality and I like the ergonomic design

The texture of these lip tints is one of a kind. Upto this point in my life I have tried gel based, water based and gloss like tints which come in tubes with sponge tip applicators but these bullet liptints feel so unique to me. When you glide them on your lips it feels like  water hence the name water vibe tint ( along with a cooling sensation) . It takes multiple swipes to get the color to show up on the lips so the color is buildable.

#01 Whoopee: Raspberry-like pink

This is a beautiful deep pink shade . Perfect for summer. The color leaves a stain on the lips

#02 Gulp: Light cool pink

This is also another pink shade in the range. It has a hint of neon tinge to it. Overally a very pretty color. Leaves a stain on the lips

#03 Splat: Rosy pink coral

A deep coral shade with pink undertones. I think is a neutral shade with looks good on all slin tones . This also leaves a stain on the lips

#04 Puddle: Coral orange

A very beautiful coral color with orange/warm undertones. Leaves a slight tinge on the lips

#05 Dipped: Reddish brick brown

A deep orange color. Great for gradient makeup.

#06 Gogo: Cherry-like red

This is a muted red color and on my lips comes of as MLBB shade for some reason

All of these tints have nice fruity scents. These water tints initially are glossy on the lips but after a few minutes dry down completely so there is zero transfer and smudging. Some of these tints are hard to remove with oil cleanser so the tinge/tint can remain in the lips for a day ( depends how many times you eat or wash your face ). Lip tints are notorious for uneven application but these apply evenly to the lips. One Con about these water tints is that they can accentuate chapped lips so always exfoliate your lips before application

I love #03 Splat #02Gulp and #06 GOGO for everyday wear. The staying power of these water tints is impressive.  In current times of Pandemic this works perfectly as it doesn't transfer to the mask and stays put the whole day

[Review] HOLIKA HOLIKA Mellow Gliding Pencil Liner

I wear eyeliner on daily basis. Specially pencil eyeliner because they give soft definition to the eyes. Since I am not good at drawing straight lines I prefer pencil eyeliners over liquid eyeliners because they are more forgiving and give room ro correct mistakes

Today I am reviewing these newly launched Mellow Gliding Pencil Liner from Holika Holika.

Eyeliner comes with 5 different shades, helps create delicate and sharp eyeliner without smudging. In a creamy texture that glides on eyelids and waterline smoothly without caking. Presents oilproof and waterproof effect to offer super long-lasting adherence.

The packaging is really nice. I love the color coded aspect of these eyeliners makes it super easy to locate in the makeup bag. There is sharpener attached at the bottom which makes it super convenient and space efficient

#01 Greige: Cool tone gray brown

If you are like me and like subtle definition to your eye makeup you are going to like this one a lot. The color is a beautiful cool toned gray which is great for natural no makeup look or to define the lower lash line

#02 Cacao Nibs: Cacao-like brown

A regular brown color with hint of reddish tones.  I reach out for this on daily bases. Looks less harsh then black eyeliner.

#03 Caramel Cropple:

Warm tone soft brown. Beautiful caramel color to define the eye makeup. Can be used as an eyeliner or as all over the lid for a wash of color.

#04 Coral Brulee

Natural coral brown that can also use as a shadow after blending

I find this to be a nice warm coral shade that is perfect for a monochromatic makeup look.

#05 Pure Mellow: Champaign gold glitter

Fine champagne glitter to emphasise the inner eye corner . It can be a little patchy and the nib feels a little soft and malleable so apply it with light strokes. Blending the liner with flat brush or fingers solves the issue

These eyeliner pencils glide on smoothly. The formula is smooth and non patchy. It is also transfer proof, smudge proof and sweat proof. You don't have to worry about the drying time as these dry down within few seconds.  You can easily maneuver the line with a brush to create shadow and depth. The lead does not break off easily. I have oily lids and many pencil liners transfer to the top part of my brow after some time but this stays put the whole time. You can remove these easily with cleansing oil/ balm. Overall I really like the slim sharp eyepencils. They are very precise and the color range is very versatile for work and college
