[Review] Benton Tea Tree Mist

Previously Benton had face mist with similar formulation in their catalogue called Honest TT mist. Benton maintained the original formula but upgraded the bottle from 40 ml to  80 ml.

Mist is designed to
Prevents Skin Damage
Skin with excessive sebum
Skin sensitive to harmful chemical ingredients
Dry and dehydrated skin

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀
Claims:
Benton Tea Tree Mist contains a high content of locally produced tea tree leaf water, which soothes skin that is dry and irritated due to external factors. Hyaluronic acid in the mist hydrates and keeps skin moist. Benton Tea Tree Mist is packaged in a sealed vacuum container which cannot be opened using only the hands. This reassures minimum contact with air and suppresses oxidization. Benton Tea Tree Mist does not contain any inflammable gas such as LPG so there is no worry of irritation on the skin and it can be carried daily anywhere, even in aircraft cabins. Unlike the previous mist, the mist also sprays more evenly, minimizing lumps in the nozzle. You can spray Benton Tea Tree Mist whenever your skin feels dry, but also as a skin toner conveniently, without the need to apply with the hands or cotton pads.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients:

Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water, Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Althaea Rosea Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Beta-Glucan, Polyglutamic Acid, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract,Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract.

the Ingredient list is pretty impressive fue to its natural ingredients. Instead of  water they have used tree tea leaf water as first ingredient. Tea tree is a known anti bacterial, skin soothing plant which has been used for centuries to treat skin related ailments. To restore moisture they have added sodium hyaluronate as their second ingredient.

Packaged in a nice transparent vacuum plastic bottle this comes with a nice spray mechanism. The vaccum container prevents product from oxidizing. The spray is fine and it does the job well of evenly distributing mist on the face. I love the minimal clean packaging of benton products they give of chic vibes.

This has a mild tea tree scent. I have been using mist for almost an year so naturally my expectations were high when I tried this product. Surprisingly this turned out to be an amazing skincare product. This thoroughly hydrates the skin with out leaving a tacky residue. Since weather is still warm in Pakistan. I enjoyed spritzing this generously on my face in the morning and during the day to freshen up my skin. I dont have much redness on my face at the moment but there a some pesky pimples on my face. This face mist didnt aggrevate acne or cause breakouts. Infact it felt so soothing on the skin.It acted as a convenient hydrating toner for my oily skin. I personally feel that this works great in humid and hot weather when layering multiple skincare products seem too much
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I rate this 4.5/5 because honestly I can't find any flaw with the product

Etude House Bling Bling Eyeshadow Stick in #18 Moon Star Review

The one korean makeup I cant get enough of is Etude House, seriously their products are  best quality. I cant name a single product by the brand which has disappointed me

I am a low maintainace person , my mother actually thinks I am lazy 😂. So I look for shortcuts which can reduce my work load ( lol ) . Stick shadows are probably one of the best makeup product ever invented. They make the whole eyeshadow application effortless and time saving.

I picked this stick eyeshadow from the bling bling range from etude house in shade #18 Moon Star.

Starting with the packaging it resembles a pen. On one end there is color eyeshadow  present in a transparent container. This makes it easier to locate in the makeup pouch when you are in a hurry. The small size is travel friendly. The tip has a roll up/ twist up mechanism which is very convenient.

Shade #18 Moon Star is a beautiful pigmented coral orange color with golden sparkles in it. I love to highlight my inner corners when I am feeling fancy or use this as an all over lid color. This has a good color pay off , you dont have to swipe multiple times to get the color to show up on your lids. the glitter is on the chunkier size though.

Ingredients

  • Alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, alkyl stearate, Butadiene stearate, stearic anhydride, stearic acid, stearic acid, stearic acid, stearic acid, stearic acid, maleic anhydride, , Caprylic glycol, propylene carbonate, phenoxyethanol, tin oxide, hexylene glycol, dimethicone, mica, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide, aluminum
The texture of the eyeshadow is creamy, it glides so easily on the lids with out dragging or tugging on the skin. You can either blend it with you fingers or use a flat brush for a more complicated eye makeup look.

This lasts for 5-6 hrs on my eyes if I dont touch my lids. its water proof I tested that claim by placing my wrist under tap water in kitchen and and it didn't wash off. But if I accidentally touch this it transfers to some extend.
the only bummer about this eyeshadow is that its not entirely smudge proof . It takes time to dry down to semi matte finish ( 2-3 mins) so unless you set this with a powder or pressed eyeshadow this is going to transfer and move specially if you touch you face multiple times.

Overall its a good product for the price I hope Etude House and perhaps one of the iconic eyeshadow created by the brand

This retails for 7.07$ on jolse.com

Too Cool for School Art Class by Rodin 3-Color Face Shading Review

I have been shying away from contouring kits for the longest time ever because I honestly dont know much about contouring and most of the kits either are over priced, heavily pigmented or have a  warm orangy undertone which makes me look like an oompa loompa.

So when Joan Kim recommended this in one of her tutorials as a very beginner friendly product I was curious to try it out.

Too Cool For School is a Mid Range Korean Road side Shop Brand. They have a lot of popular and good skincare products under their name. This shading kit from Art class by Rodin range is one of their best sellers

The box is on the cuter side. Inside the shading compact is wrapped in a butter paper with rodin tapped to it. I tore the paper in my state of excitement so please excuse my thoughtless action.

The the compact is light weight and is adequately sized in both width and diameter. Inside their is nice mirror and a transparent plastic cover on top to protect shading powder. I found the pan size quite satisfying for swirling the brush. the variation of three shades gives room to creating a customized shading color for different skin tones.

I will describe the shades a bit so to give you a rough idea

The shade on left is matte beige color. This blends with my skin color and works nicely as a transition shade.
Middle shade has somewhat cool ashy tone to it so it looks more grey brown on skin .
The right most shade is warm brown in color but its not too Orangy or red just a hint of warmth to it.

When swirled together the color comes off as  brown. Personally I like using middle and left shade for shading my cheeks and nose. The right shade works great for shading  hairline and defining eye crease

The shades are not super pigmented so it gives a subtle shading effect without going over the top. The sheer / light color pay off gives room to error. You can basically never over do it which is good specially if you are looking for subtle contouring products or are a beginner to contouring/shading like me.

After practicing the technique of shading a couple of time I can now make my nose a bit pinched and tall. And make my large forhead a little less broad. All in one I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to every one as this lasts through out the day without fading. Has a really nice mirror, contains three different shades and has a lot of product for a fraction of price.

You can purchase this at jolse for 16.48$

[REVIEW] Heimish All Clean Balm

Even though my favourite type of makeup remover is micellar water I love experimenting with different formulas.
Today I am reviewing (probably one of the most popular) balm cleanser by hemish

I have oily/dehydrated skin so my first reaction to oil based skincare or makeup is  scepticism mixed with fear because ( I break out so easily. Since I heard so many great things about this balm cleanser I was ready to take the risk

Features:

Multi cleansing that will erase the dark makeup clearly

Contains coconut palm fruit extracts and shea butter
Gently melting on face by skin temperature and cleanse vivid makeup and skin impurities

Starting with the packaging, the somewhat giant tub is packed in a box. The leaves printed with gold details is cute. Heimish changed the packaging of this cleanser lately so now it has a flip lid mechanism instead of screw top lid. Personally I find the flip lid design unique and convenient.

Korean skincare brands often include spatula with their products but most of these spatula end up being lost . Thankfully Heimish solved this problem by attaching the spatula to the protective plastic lid

Now technically speaking this should have looked smooth and untouched but weather in my city is very unstable (hot n cold) so this has changed its shape due to increased temperature.

Ingredients:

Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-8 Isostearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Extract, Lilium Tigrinum Extract, Leontopodium Alpinum Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Narcissus Pseudo-Narcissus (Daffodil) Flower Extract, Rose Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Boswellia Carterii Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, 1, 2-Hexanediol

After reading the directions I scooped out a dime size dollop , rubbed the balm on the palm of my hands to warm it up. And then applied it to my dry face.  What's interesting about this cleanser is this turns to oil when exposed to temperate and turns milky when mixed with water.

I probably massaged my face a little over a minute as the smooth homogenous texture of the balm /now turned into oil (felt good) and then splashed my face with water to get rid of all the melted makeup. The mild citrusy scent felt so refreshing and calming after a long day at college.

Here is what I noticed:
My skin felt soft and moisturized minus the waxy residue. I didn't feel the need to use a second cleanser afterwards but since I like to double cleanse I just followed it up with my regular foam wash. Personally I think this does a really got job at emulsifying tough , stubborn water proof makeup. It melts makeup without  tugging or much effort. Plus the formula feels gentle on eyes. I accidentally got it in my eyes and it didnt blur my vision or cause irritation .

Honestly I am blow away by the performance of this product. This jar of magic holds 120 ml of product . And since a small amount is required every day . You can probably squeeze a few month of uses out of a single tub. This is suitable for all skin types

You can purchase this at jolse for $ 18

[Review] Tiam Vitamin Blending Powder

I tried out the tiam signature C source serum and didnt enjoy is as much as my other vitamin C serum because it left a tacky residue on my face but when tiam released the vitamin blending powder I was ready to jump on the bandwagon again and give this newly released product a shot

Special blending powder that transforms your cosmetics into vitamin care products. It’s also a 100% pure vitamin powder with highly concentrated Vitamin C powder that can be absorbed more effectively. Provides an even and clear skintone and also fades pigmentation. It also has powerful antioxidant effects to prevent signs of aging and keeps skin healthy and revitalized

Packaging
A really cute and small plastic bottle containing 10 gms of vitamin powder. The lid shuts really secure so you dont have to fear about powder getting oxidized or effected by humidity ( trust me on this I almost lost my fingernail trying to open the cap ). This packaging makes traveling with the vitamin powder super convenient and easy because this is a multi purpose product. You can create your own customized vitamin serum by mixing it with any hydrating toner of your choice. Use this as a spot treatment for your acne scars. Mix this in with your daily foundation/bb cream for added benefit or create a vitamin sheet mask by sprinkling powder on your regular or compressed sheet mask. the combinations are endless

I found the whole concept of DIY skincare with blending powders unique. You can totally control the amount of powder to your daily need so this makes is friendly for all skin types.

The powder has an off white color and is finely milled. It has a very mild citrusy scent  like fresh oranges (yum) For me the best way to dispense the powder was to tap the bottle gently. On day one of testing out this product I used this as a spot treatment for one of blemishes. I was surprised how the acne scar lightened considerably within a few days. ( you can barely see it now) on day two I proceeded to create a vitamin serum by mixing it with my current favorite toner. The powder dissolved evenly without clumping. I procceded to apply the mixture to my face before going to bed. Even though its mentioned on the box that this powder might sting a little . For me luckily nothing of this sort happened.  There was no tacky residue on my face. The next morning my face looked noticeably brighter. My skin tone looked improved and even.

I have been using this for a week now I am totally head over heals in love with this product. I have increased the amount of powder in my concotions and there is no irritation or rash so far. After trying out the vitamin blend I am tempted to try the centella and arbutin varient as well.

[Review] MISSHA Eye Painting Shadow #orange dream

You might have noticed that these days Makeup brands are gravitating more towards releasing liquid and cream eyeshadow as compared to the conventional pressed powder shadows. So there is a lot of variety in the market but is every eyeshadow worth your bucks?? Today I am reviewing this cute cream eyeshadow by Missha

Features
A cream shadow has mild texture that is really pigmented, making shimmery eyes.
The water formula type shadow provides bold coverage, long-lasting wear, and a creamy texture. Recommended for one seeking long lasting, personal color mix-match product

there are 5 colors in the collection

#Starlight Beige
#Sunset Brown
#Orange Dream
#Pink Boost
#Beach Gravel

The packaging is super cute and practical. Its color coded and resembles tube paint in many ways. This small tube holds 6g of product and has a nozzle to dispense out the product.

The product in side has a very watery/liquidy consistency. Its easy to apply and intensely pigmented. My prefered way of application is to use my finger but you can apply this with a flat brush as well.  This eyeshadow dries completely within a minute. Once set its completely budgeproof and very long lasting

I choose the color #orange dream which is a true representation of this eyeshadow. The color is a beautiful orange color packed with gold and orange glitter (Glitter is medium sized and not gritty you can barely feel on the lids) I feel like this a little too much for everyday makeup look as its very sparkly (you can totally wear this everyday if thats your style) but for special occasions, weddings, parties, night life or get together this is perfect.

The water like texture of this eyeshadow gives room to creativity and experimentation. You can wear this on its own as an all over eyelid color, as colorful eyeliner, rock this an eyeshadow topper to oomph up the look or go for a diffused water color effect by  applying a thin wash of color.

Moreover you can create a  customized color by mixing this with another shade from the range.

This truly is a versatile product by Missha. The only con I discovered is that this is not completely waterproof so skip this on a rainy day if you dont want the color to bleed on your lids. Overall I am quite pleased with this eyeshadow and quite tempted to try out more shades from the range

You can purchase this on jolse for 8.16$
