[Review] ETUDE HOUSE Wear Your Moment Body Mist

I like to change my everyday body mist ever now and then. I work at a hospital so I select more muted and subtle scents which are appropriate for work. Since I am not a fan of floral mists so I usually stick to fruity and fresh scents

I picked ETUDE HOUSE Wear Your Moment Body Mist  as a birthday gift for myself. 

There are 4 variants to choose from I picked Joyful Day because someone on instagram described the scent as fruity.

The bottle is small and perfect for purse. It holds 55 ml of product in it. It does not leak and is very handy.

The scent is very fruity and sweet just like a candy. The scent is strong in the beginning but with time becomes subtle. For me the scent disappears after 4-5 hrs. I think the lasting power is quite similar to my other body mists. Which is why I am not disappointed at all. Body mists are more diluted and contain small percentage of perfume oil so they are not long lasting.

Would I buy it again ? Yes for the price and quality I am quite impressed. Though this particular scent is more suitable for a night out or shopping trip I would love to try more scents from this range

[Review] ONEOSEVEN Low pH Chaga Cleanser

Low pH Chaga Cleanser is one if the latest skincare launch from ONEOSEVEN . I have seen chaga mentioned a lot in the skincare lately but I was unsure what it was . A quick search on internet cleared up the confusion

Chaga:
Inonotus obliquus, commonly known as chaga, is a fungus in the family Hymenochaetaceae. It is parasitic on birch and other trees. The sterile conk is irregularly formed and has the appearance of burnt charcoal (source : wikipedia)

Features
A mild and acidulous cleanser that clears the skin with Chaga mushroom and 10 Complex.
Inonotus Obliquus Extract(Chaga mushroom) moisturizes and improves the skin with elasticity. The moist jelly texture cleanses and tends the skin healthily with 5-year-old natural vinegar ferment

The packaging is simple. A grey squeeze tube with a white flip cap. I am so happy to see Hangul and English description on the box . The Brand has also fulky disclosed the ingredients list on the box.

I peeled off the seal and took a whiff, the scent reminded me of citrus and tangerines. The texture of the cleanser is one of a kind. Its jelly like and has small bits embedded in it. I was very confused when I first applied it to my hand. Is this really a cleanser or a wash off face mask. But once I rubbed it on my skin it began to lather up

As the texture is moist and slippery it feels very moisturizing on the skin. My skin felt unbelievably soft on touch. The cleanser really delivers what it promises. Keeping in mind this quality I have been using this in my night time routine to gently remove the sebum from the skin. The gentle tangerine scent feels so calming at night.

[Review] Kinvane PDRN Cica Balm

I was so skeptic when I opened the seal of this product. The part of my brain which does all the rational thinking was like '' Are you sure this is going to work for your oily skin. It says balm on the packaging. But like many of my impulsive decisions the non rational, capricious part of my brain won the argument and I applied a pea size amount to my face before going to bed

Features

A jelly-type balm that soothes, recovers, and nourishes the skin with ample moisture.
PDRN(Polydeoxyribonucleotide) helps repair and improve the damaged skin and smooths the skin healthily. Beta-Glucan, Hyaluronic Acids, Centella Asiatica Extract, and Madecassoside keep the skin moist.

The packaging is very basic a regular squeeze tube having portable and hygienic design. I find packaging likes these to be the best for balm type products because:

1. Squeeze tubes don't gather dust and hair unlike jar containers

2. there are very convenient to use and allow one to control the amount of product.

3. Very easy to store as they take less space on the shelf

 The texture is something mid way between gel and balm. Its slightly opaque. Compared to the other balm products I have used this actually feels more like a deeply moisturizing gel. After testing this on my face i actually enjoyed the slippery texture a lot. I applied a pea size amount ( slightly bigger than a pea) to my whole face. This takes a minute or two to absorb into the skin but once its absorbed completely there is zero tacky / sticky residue. Speaking of skincare steps I use this in my night time routine

So far I find this to be a good moisturizing night mask which repairs and preps my skin for the morning

If you have been following my blog or instagram for some time you must be familiar how intolerant I am to heat and warm temperature. And balm on top of greasy + sweaty skin does not sounds like a good combination but this Kinvane PDRN Cica Balm has totally revolutionized my perspective on balms. [Review] CHICA Y CHICO One Touch Ppyam Ppyam Duo Blusher

Yellow blush is trending in the korean beauty sphere and the color is admittedly quite unusual for cheeks but after looking at all the spring summer makeup catalogues I wanted to try it myself

Features:

A no-fail blusher that helps even beginners color the cheeks naturally like watercolor.
The combination of the 2 colors in the blusher expresses various images on each area. Absorbs excess sebum and leaves only the beautiful, long-lasting colors on the cheeks.

The packaging is super cute. Its has a nice mustard base with a clear top.  There are two colors in the pan. A warm pineapples yellow and a coral orange.  The pan size is quite decent to swirl the brush in it.

You can use the colors individually as point makeup or mix the two colors to form a warm mustard base. The colors are very pigmented and show up quite well on my fair skin. The powder is soft and does not crumbles easily. Moreover its not chalky or pastel.

I applied the shades individually on my cheek . I will admit the  yellow color didn't look very appealing on my skin tone on its own. ( I am not a model after all ) the coral on the other hand looked really pretty. When mixed together it gives an overall warm look to the face. For daily use I prefer using Coral shade on my cheeks. As for the pineapple yellow color I found another use for it : eyeshadow. It looks quite pretty paired with green, blue and brown eyeshadow.

Overall I am very pleased with this blush duo. I would be interested to try more colors from the range.

[Review] Huxley Secret of Sahara CLEANSING GEL BE CLEAN BE MOIST Cleansing Gel

I tried a sample foil of the Huxley Secret of Sahara Essence and the scent alone made me a fan of it. The scent is really fresh snd reminds me of freshly mown lawn or cactus pulp.

Features
The cactus extract and cactus seed oil gifts a more moist and smooth skin.
The non-ionic detergent with dense and fine bubbles smoothly wrap the skin without stimulating the skin.
Cactus extract, cactus seed oil, and hyaluronic acid have superb moisturizing effect.

Huxley Cleansing Gel comes in a minimal white plastic pump bottle. Overall I find the simple design quite pleasing. The cleanser as the name implies is gel like its has quite potent/noticable Huxley signature scent. As I ahve mentioned earlier I really like Huxely scent so I am very pleased with the fragrance part.

The gel forms mild bubbles which don't last long. The cleanser does a really good job of cleansing skin without stripping moisture. I have noticed that this leaves a bit of a light slippery film to prevent  moisture from escaping. ( just like dove soap). I like to use this in morning as the clean fresh scent really wakes me up and keeps me in a good mood all day. Moreover it also prevents my face from looking dry and flaky

In my opinion this totally lives up to the hype. Its a really good everyday cleanser that can be enjoyed by all skin types especially dry skin. The scent and the minimal packaging add a luxurious touch to it. After having a really pleasant experience with this particular cleanser I am interested to explore more from this brand

[Review] ONSAEMEEIN Icecream Cleansing Pack + ONSAEMEEIN Magic Skinny Primer

I am back with anonther round of reviews this time around I am reviewing two products from the brand ONSAEMEEIN . I have tried an arnica ampuole and cleansing pads from the brand previously and really enjoyed it

September is already here but the weather is no where close to feeling like Autumn at the moment. Since the weather is still muggy and awful I have been using clay mask packs every second day.

ONSAEMEEIN Icecream Cleansing Pack

The packaging and the name is what drew me in. The tub looks similar to an ice cream tub . Its sturdy but does not comes with a spatula. ( personally I am not bothered by the lack of spatula as I tend to loose it anyway )

Features
The soft texture like that of a soft ice cream spreads smoothly on the skin.
Pomegranate extract containing citric acid and water-soluble vitamin vitalizes the skin. Various natural ingredients cleanse and moisturize the skin without excessive stimulation.

The product description is 100% accurate. when I removed the lid for the 1st time I was confused. ''Have I opened a mini ice cream tub ? '' ''Is this vanilla ice cream or a cleansing pack'' . The mild sweet scent made me hungry.

Nonetheless I scooped a dime size amount and applied it to my face. Left it on for 10 mins and massage my face in circular motion under running water to remove the pack. I could immediately notice the squeaky clean feeling. It felt thoroughly cleansed and my pores looked small too.

The claim regarding deep cleansing is true. This is very thorough when It comes to removing debri and sebum. I felt that the mask pack was a slight bit drying for my oily skin . But I applied face mist to my skin shortly after removing the pack so I was not bothered much by the deep cleanse

In my opinion this is a really effective cleansing pack for hot humid weather. Not only it thoroughly cleanses skin it also drys out active pimples. I use this once every week

ONSAEMEEIN Magic Skinny Primer

I am all about trying new pore filling primers because I have large pores and very oily skin. The description of this product sounded very promising so I decided to give it a go

Features
The smooth and tight primer smooths the skin while moisturizing the skin as well.
Adheres smoothly to the skin and fills the rough skin and the sagging pores.
The thin apricot color corrects the uneven skin tone naturally.

The packaging resembles a regular squeeze tube . I like the simple white design with black font.

This particular primer has a bit of a floral scent ( I cant figure out which flower exactly though) it has an emulsion like texture feels like a lotion/cream. The primer goes on like an emulsion and feels very moisturizing on the skin and then slowly dries down to a smooth semi matte finish. I am not sure if this has silicone in it  but it feels so nice and silky.

I have worn this several times under makeup and this does not cause pilling. I have noticed that this also keeps my skin sebum free for some hours and extends the wear time of my base makeup. the apricot pink color also blends nicely with my skin so I can also wear it on its own on makeup free days. I am very impressed with this magic primer. I think this is inde of those pore filling primers that can be used all year long .
