[REVIEW] NEULII AC CLEAN SAVER SPOT PATCH + SAVER CREAM

Roseroseshop sent me these products for review purpose. My thoughts stated here are however 100% honest and my own

NEULII AC CLEAN SAVER SPOT PATCH

I have used so many spot patches. But these are one of a kind. What is so special about these you ask me ? Well one , these come in a box of 120 patches . Yes 120 so these will last a really ling time. Two these are really thin. Thin to an extend that you might not even notice them on their skin. Three these have a matte finish so you can easily apply foundation on top.

Easy and Hygienic. It is easy and hygienic to bring and use! You can carry the patch in your bag and use it whenever you skin needs to be cared. Slip patch, perfectly sticks to skin! Slim and less glossy patch does not look obvious when applied to the skin, and it cares the troubled area while protecting your skin from external stimulus.

These don't suck the moisture/gunk from your pimple but form a protective barrier over the damaged skin. So you can easily apply makeup on top to cover the blister. These stick onto the skin pretty well. I have applied these to my freshly cleansed and dry skin and they remained on my face in the morning. I have even worn these to work and no body told me I had a sticker on my face

These are different than the hydrogel patches and a lot less noticeable.

NEULII AC CLEAN SAVER CREAM

This is the year in which I discovered the best face creams for oily skin .

Description

1. Inbetween Lotion & Cream, gives you soothing texture.

2. Absorbed well and fast without stickiness.

The time this came in my mail. My skin was having a really hard time. I had so many active pimples near my hairline. So I frantically swaped different spot treatments in my routine to keep the acne under control. One thing which helped my skin tremendously was this cream. Loaded with ingredients like adenosine and niacinamide. This is actually a very light weight gel cream with slightly citrusy/lavender.

Usually my skin rejects majority of creams right after first trial, but this one surprisingly got along pretty well with my face. I didn't add fuel to my problem nor did it cause more acne. I think this is a very pleasant light weight gel cream suitable for all skin types.

[Review] The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%

This is my third product from the brand, I have the Glycolic Acid toner and the 30% AHA 4% BHA serum from them and I like it. I originally wanted to buy retionol since I am going to turn 30 in a few years. So I should better start working on anti ageing from now but since it was out of stock I did a bit of research and bought this as substitute because vitamin C is an oxidant and I was close to using up my 20% vitamin C serum

Product Description:

Well-known for its brightening properties, The Ordinary has placed vitamin C in its pure form of L-Ascorbic Acid at the centre of Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%. Formulated as an antidote to ageing, this antioxidant-rich elixir is also enhanced with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump skin while brightening and improving uneven skin tone. Ideally applied at bedtime, this extraordinary treatment allows you to wake up to visibly luminous, younger-looking skin

The Ordinary is one of the very affordable skincare brands which is proving safe , over the counter/ approved skincare products but unfortunately because of custom /import taxes it feels more of a luxury brand in Pakistan. But for those of you who live in England or any country other than Pakistan I am pretty sure it is very affordable for you.

The packaging is very basic and unusual for a Vitamin C product usually vitamin C serums are packaged in tinted glass bottles so I was surprised to see this come in a squeeze tube. Overall the cap is secure and the packaging is travel friendly so no complains

The texture is perhaps the biggest turn off point of this suspension. I have tried so many vitamin C products that I can't even recall the name of few but none them had gritty texture. This on the other hand is runny to a point that you can accidentally spill it if you are not careful with a flip cap. Moreover it feel very greasy/oil and has a very distinct gritty texture. You can feel the powder particles when you rub the product into the skin

When I read reviews online prior to purchase most of them did call this as oily but according to the reviews the heavy feeling was gone after a minutes. But in my case my skin remained oily even after half an hour post application. Speaking of other vitamin C products my biggest problem was that the product would oxidize within a month and lost efficacy. But The ordinary managed this whole issue with a bit of science. You see vitamin C oxidizes when it comes in contact with moisture. So they used squalene as oil base along with hyaluronic acid to prevent oxidation. That is exactly why it remains stable for longest time and remains effective.

When I added this to my skincare routine, my skin was at its worst. I had a really bad cluster of pustular acne on my cheeks. There were half healed acne scars near my hair line and I had two nodules on my chin. Vitamin C is a known healing agent. It boosts collagen production and brightens skin. On day one I applied it to my freshly washed skin and instantly regretted the decision because it was so greasy that I couldn't sleep properly at night so I added this to my morning routine.

It was a lot more tolerable. One more unpleasant thing that I noticed about this product is that it is quite difficult to wash off. Even though if you use a foam cleanser. You can still feel an oily residue on the skin. I have noticed that the oily residue was less noticeable when I used it with another serum like the Skinfood Honey Propolis essence.

I have been using this consistently for the last three weeks now I am really impressed by the results

1. It helped my acne heal faster

2. Despite its thick oily texture it didn't cause any new acne or closed comedones

3. It lightened my PIH and made my skintone even and bright

4. Gave my skin very notable glow

Though the texture is my least favorite out of all the vitamin C serums I have tried..I actually like this one a lot because of its stable formula, high concentration of Vitamin C ( 23%) and positive results. I plan to stock up on more tubes as this one has really won over my heart. I would recommend you all this but if you don't like oily , gritty texture skincare skip this.

This is my first time being a part of skincare challenge where I have consistently observed and documented my 7 weeks journey of improvement and change

Shangpree's proprietary, high-end S-Energy blend is paired with essential oils and botanicals to treat the sensitive and delicate skin surrounding the eye area. This eye cream gives a much needed boost to the eye area providing it with antioxidants and nutrients. An ideal pick for mature skin to fight and minimize existing fine lines and signs of aging

Claims:

(1) Hydrate with hyaluronic acid, argan oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, and panthenol

(2) Brighten dark circles with arbutin

(3) Renew skin cells and stimulate collagen production with oxygen and adenosine, which helps to firm the eye area and diminish fine lines

(4) Wake up the eye area with spearmint

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Scutellaria Baicalensis Callus Culture, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Trehalose, Stearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Sorbitan Stearate, Microcrystalline Wax, Beeswax, Oxygen, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Origanum Vulgare (Oregano) Leaf Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Monarda Didyma (Bergamot) Leaf Extract, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Panthenol, Carbomer, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil

Packaging
: A very luxurious emerald green tube with gold accent. I love how beautiful the lid is. The nozzle is very helpful to apply the product directly under the eyes. I usually use my ring finger to gently pat in the cream

Texture:

This has a rich , smooth texture which is very eay to spread on the skin. It is not heavy or greasy and absorbs into the skin within a minute. Skin instantly feels soft and hydrated . I have been using this both day and night and I have noticed that does not pill under foundation or concealer. Many eyecreams block pores under eyes and causue milia which is cosmetically not very acceptable and makes the under eye area bumpy . But this is deeply moisturizing but not thick in a sense that it clogs pores. This has a really faint floral/citrusy scent to it so it is almost negligible.

Week 1:  17th August 2020

Due to my long work hours and poor sleeping pattern my under eye area was in really poor state. I had premature wrinkles. Dark circles around my eyes along with and dry skin which was accentuated every time I did my makeup

Week 2:  23rd August 2020

1 week later my under eye was smooth and hydrated. The concealer blended easily. Though the dark circles looked pretty much the same . But my skin was moistured and looked better than first week.

Week 3: 30th August 2020

My under eye area was improved interms of hyper pigmentation and dry skin. the dark circles were reduced a little bit as well. Most importantly my the skin was plump and soft

Week 4: 6th September 2020

With 1 month of consistent use my under eyes looked remarkably better. The pre mature wrinkles around my eyes looked blur because of my plump skin. The dark circles were light to sn extend that. ( I skipped applying concealer under my eyes). Even though my sleep pattern was disturbed my under eye area was plump and made my me look awake and fresh

Week 7 : 28th September 2020
Encouraged by the noticeable difference in my under eye area and the numerous compliments from my fellow colleagues at work . I continued using this eyecream for 7 weeks. I didn't notice any breakouts or milia from using this. Because of the hydration my premature wrinkles were blurred by the plump skin. The under eye circles were very light too. I felt more confident going outside with minimal to no makeup. And when I did wear makeup my foundation and concealer looked smooth during the whole duration. Even though 7 weeks challenge is over but I am still using this eyecream everyday.

Many people think that eye cream is an extra  over priced step in the skincare routine but this 7 week Eyecream Challenge has changed my perspective on eyecreams forever. Just like sunscreen I think that eyecreams are crucial to achieve youthful healthy and smooth under eye area. Not all eyecreams are equal to do your research before purchasing any cream.

[Review] plu Body Scrub Berry Mix

In today's post I will be reviewing a very popular body scrub from a korean brand called PLU. I bought this as a birthday gift for myself.

PLU actually stands for Pure Life Up. The brand is quite famous for its fragranced bodycare products. While I slap 5-8 skincare products to my face everyday . My body on the other hand is neglected . So I decided to buy this body scrub and get smooth soft skin.

Containing California almonds, this body scrub exfoliates and hydrates skin, leaving your body feeling firm and radiant. It clears away dead skin cells and impurities to help your skin feel smooth and refreshed. Use this body scrub 1-3 times a week for best results. Do not apply on the face.

Packaging:

This scrub comes in a very basic packaging, I like squeeze tubes over scrubs as they are very hygienic, mess free and easy to store in a shower. This tube contains 200ml of product and has a flip cap to prevent product from spilling out .

Ingredients:

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder(40,000mg), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Cocamide Methyl MEA, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Honey Extract, Rosa Hybrid Flower Extract, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Chrysanthemum Morifolium Flower Extract, Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Sodium Chloride, Laureth-9, Triethanolamine, Glycerin, Disodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract(20mg), Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Aristotelia Chilensis Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Sambucus Nigra Fruit Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Carbomer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ascorbic Acid, Polyquaternium-10, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin

The product has a sugar/caramel color and has a very strong fragrance that lingers on even after the shower. I personally like the scent it smells very luxurious like a designer perfume. The granules are small and don't feel abbrasive on the skin . This contains walnut shells ( a very controversial ingredient ) that is exactly why the brand suggests using this only on the body. I have noticed that this forms a nice lather when it comes in contact with water .

I use this scrub twice a week and I have noticed that this has reduced the kps on my body a lot. Moreover this has aldo reduced the amount of ingrown hair on my body. With consistent use the build up of dead skin cells and acne is reduced and skin looks more healthy and bright. It feel soft and smooth too.

Some scrubs dry out skin or leave micro tears which in turn promotes wrinkle formation and skin aging . But this is relatively hydrating and gentle. I will buy more variants from this brand in future

[Review] A GOOD DAY Mineral Herbal Hair Care Shampoo and Conditioner

I have been testing this haicare duo by a korean brand called A Good Day for past two weeks . So now I am finally ready to share my thoughts on these products . I have medium length , color treated hair with very damaged ends. My scalp is oily and needs to be washed after every two days. I usually use hot tools like hair straightener or curler twice a month. I prefer clarifying shampoo because of my oily scalp  and use scalp scrub once a week. Because my hair have a fine texture they look limp and flat at times so volumizing shampoo and hairsprays are my favourite hair products.

The shampoo and conditioner come in a humongous bottle which holds 500ml of product. This is something that is probably going to last me several months as I wash my hair 2-3 times a week

Formulated with over sixty minerals from bentonite beneficial to the hair and Korean medicinal herbal extract, it fundamentally makes the hair healthy by adding elasticity and nutrients deep inside the hair.

Packaging:

The bottles are very simple. Usually anti hairfall products/ products containing  ginseng are packaged in red bottles. Overall the pump is sturdy and the design is pretty

1. Scalp clinic

2. Hair loss prevention - It prevents hair loss by making rough and damaged scalp and follicles healthy.

3. soothing effect for sensitive scalps- It helps make irritated scalps comfortable and healthy with its Korean medicinal herbal ingredients

4. Nutrient supply- It transforms your hair to become healthy and beautiful

5. Hair care and moisturization- the gel-state bentonite thinly wraps hair. It moisturizes damaged, dry hair by keeping it moist and calm all day long.

Starting with the shampoo , this contain bentonite clay and soy protein to nourish the hair. The shampoo has a very distinct ginseng scent and has amber brown color. It is very liquid in nature and forms decent amount of lather when massaged onto the scalp. I have noticed that this gives cooling sensation on the scalp. The shampoo washes off very easily and makes the hair soft and smooth. I have noticed that it also gives volume and shine to the hair. This really helps to keep dandruff under control . Moreover my scalp smells fresh and clean for several days.

A GOOD DAY Mineral Herbal Conditioner

DISCRIPTION

60 and more kinds of Bentonite natural minerals • medicine herbal conditioner

This is a hair product that had been verified by scalp and hair specialists.

Bentonite Conditioner Features:

FDAD of USA has accepted bentonite as food additive. From bentonite mine in Pohang and Gyeongju, it produced ultra pure bentonite made with purifying technique with patent.

Good products begin from good ingredients

Packaging:

This has the same bottle like shampoo but in golden color. The pump is really good. For my medium length hair. 1 pump is enough to cover the length and ends of my hair

Ingredients:

Bentonite, Hydrolyzed Soy,  Hydrolyzed Keratin, Panthenol, Red Ginseng, Swertia Herb, Licorice and other

I usually skip conditioner because they aggravate my scalp condition ( I have sebhoric dermatitis) but I decided to give this one a fair change and I am glad I did . Because this just neutralizes all my prejudice against conditioner and silicon as fillers.

This just like the shampoo smells strongly of ginseng . The conditioner has a very creamy consistency and has a slight brown tinge to it. I usually apply one pump along my hair length concentrating more on the damaged ends. This conditioner is very easy to wash off. I brings my dry damaged ends to life and makes my hair look healthy and silky. I haven't seen my hair look this shiny and bouncy in years. I am not exaggerating the difference this makes to my hair is so noticeable.

Ever since I have incorporated these two products to my haircare. I have noticed considerable difference in my hair . Even my colleague at work complemented my hair the other day. I would recommend you all to try this. It is likes rainbows and sunshine in a bottle
