Review Espoir WATER SPLASH SUN CREAM FRESH SPF50+ PA++++

This has a light green gel like texture , watery and easy to spread. I have detected a faint floral scent as well which dissipates few minutes after application . This is a light weight sunscreen in true sense. It feels like nothing on the skin. I have worn this under makeup and this doubles as a primer too.  

I love the fresh, watery texture of the sunscreen, this absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a white cast on the skin. The formula also contains hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin, which help to keep the skin moisturized throughout the day.

In my opinion this sunscreen is particularly well-suited for those with oily or combination skin, as it doesn't make the skin feel greasy or heavy. I currently have dry skin because of Isotretinoin and i have have found that it's  moisturizing enough on its own.

Many sunscreen either clump under foundation or cause pilling but this just blends into the skin and enhances the longevity of makeup . I haven't tried reapplication on my skin but i am pretty sure that this is layer-able thanks to its watery texture

[Review] SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella TONE BRIGHTENING TONE-UP SUNSCREEN

 I have already reviewed two sunscreens from SKIN1004 . I plan to do a comparison post soon all the Skin1004 Sunscreens in the  coming few weeks.  This is the third sunscreen I have from the brand. As always, my opinion is honest and unbiased.

WHAT IT IS:

A tinted sunscreen that helps brighten and tone dull and wrinkled skin that has lost its vibrancy and elasticity. With high UVA & UVB grade protection, this is sun care that revitalizes.

IKEY INGREDIENTS:

Tranexamic Acid: A brightening ingredient that reduces dark spots.

Many people cringe at the word tone-up  but I like tone-up creams and sunscreens. My face has uneven tones at several spots, so tone-up creams even out the sallow color on my face. It also works as a no-makeup, makeup base. I use tone-up products a lot in my daily makeup and skincare routine. So I was very happy to see the Tone-up sunscreen from Skin1004

Starting with the packaging, it comes in a similar slim tube packaging. The tube has a vacuum pump mechanism, so zero product is wasted in the tube. Overall, very travel and purse friendly . This got 5 stars from me in terms of packaging.

 It has a mild lavender/ floral scent. It is not overpowering and dissipates within 5 mins of application. Usually, tone-up creams are either white or pink but this has  a skin-like tone/tint to it. It is very easy to blend into the skin . The texture is like a lotion, smooth and hydrating. I have noticed that this dries down to a semi-matte/ velvet finish. Because the tint is close to my skin color, I didn't notice any white cast. Moreover, it does not cling to the dry patches on my face or accentuate the flaky parts in any way.

On days when I don't want to layer multiple base products on my face, I use this instead of my regular sunscreen and, viola, I am ready for the day. The tint gives sheer coverage, so don't expect this to cover up acne scars, but it does smooth out the skin and blurs imperfections.  I also like to wear this for days when I go out grocery shopping or when I am out in the park. This works both as a sunscreen and as a primer. I have worn this under makeup and it does not make my foundation bunch up or clog in my pores.

I am very impressed by this SKIN1004  Madagascar Centella TONE BRIGHTENING TONE-UP SUNSCREEN. It checks all the boxes on my list. If you like tone-up products or you have fair to light skin, this is going to become a favorite for sure.

ELROEL Pang Pang Big Sun UV Shield Review

 I have been testing out a lot of sunscreens this year. this one from Elroel stands out from the rest because of its cuhsion packaging. Now I love cushion foundations a lot . I have reviewed so many on my blog already. But this is my first time reviewing a sun cushion. 

The packaging as you can see slim but the pact is quite large than an average cushion. The tear drop shaped puff is big as well so it covers a lot of surface area on the face. Overall I love the bright yellow details. It is so cheerful and cute

I personally love to wear this when going out for grocery shopping, daily walk or day to day chores. It is very moisturizing and also a bit of coverage/color to the face. The best part is that this sunscreen is moisturizing. My skin is very dry at the moment and a lot if physical sunscreens accentuate the dry patches on my face. This on the other hand is quite hydrating and works well with my dry flaky skin. Overall I am quite happy with this sunscreen and I keep this in my purse for re-application during the day

[Review] GRAYMELIN Galactocera Re-Turn Sun Block SPF50+ PA++++

 I haven't reviewed any sunscreens in a really long time because I have around 8-9 sun screens open at the moment which I need to use up fast before they expire

GRAYMELIN is a new brand for me. I was oblivious to their existence until Joohky introduced me to the brand 

Product Description

A moistful daily sun cream which perfectly protects skin against harmful UV rays leaving a fresh finish without any sticky feeling or white cast. Formulated with 6 botanical ingredients, soothes and protects sensitive skin from external harmful elements. Contains Galactomyces Fermented Filtrate and Ceramide to brighten up skin tone and improve skin moisture barrier.

The packaging is simple, a very bright yellow squeeze tube with a black cap. I had a bright backdrop in my cupboard which matched the bottle perfectly so I used it for the photography .

I peeled off the silver sealed and the first thing I noticed was the citrus scent mixed in with green tea. According to the ingredients listut does contain green tea extracts. 

The texture of the sunblock is what blew my mind. It is cream like but very light . Weather is currently hot and humid in my city and I am avoiding all kind of heavy moisturizers, foundation and primer but this felt so pleasant and cooling on skin . This does leaves a white cast but since the texture is light and moisturizing it is easy to blend into the skin. I wore this under makeup and it didn't pill or made my skin look flaky. 

Keeping in mind the recent sunscreen controversy I looked up for ingredients list online and found out that this contains various Sun Filters like Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate , Zinc Oxide, Homosalate, BisEthylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine and Octocrylene. That is five filters in total. Not really sure if this is adequate for a physical sunscreen but I personally didn't get any sunburn /tan when using this.

SUMMER SKINCARE FAVOURITES 2020

I shared my Makeup Favourites for 2020 in previous post. I have a few tried and tested skincare favourites for the summer of 2020
Lets start shall we !!

The first step of my skincare routine is an oil cleanser but since I have run out of my favorite Celimax Blackhead Removing Cleansing Oil I haven't found anything as that on my skincare routine

On the other hand I am genuinely enjoying the Senka Speedy Perfect Whip Cleanser . This is one of the cult favourite best selling cleanser from Japan. I opted for the pump bottle packaging as I really like the ease of use and tons of bubbles this creates.

Axisy Daily Purifying Treatment toner is something I used last year and liked it but them I got distracted and this ended up forgotten in my cupboard. But now due to the current pandemic and mask my acne has flared up pretty bad.  So I rediscovered this gem of product in my stash and incorporated this back into my routine. And slowly with continuous use my skin has improved a lot.

Sweating + sebum = clogged pores which means BHA. I have been using this Cosrx BHA Power Liquid on and off for 1 year and this works wonder for the pesky clogged pores I get on my face. I just pump this on a cotton pad and swipe it on my face gently a few times

Have you ever tried a gel spray . This Herb Doctor's Gel Spray surprised me a lot . It has this cool gel texture which sprays out like a liquid.  I like to pop this in fridge prior to use and trust me this feels so refreshing on a hot day. The hydration is adequate for my oily skin.

GASTON Shooting Star Crystal Eye Patch . It is hydrating, depuffing and beautiful to look at. Do I need to say more ? I am already at the end of my tub

A 2 in 1 product in my opinion that works really well in keeping the sebum under control with its smooth silicon like texture while protecting against the sun at the same time. Sunscreens are notorious for giving white cast or piling under makeup but this DMCK Clean AC Sunstick SPF 50 PA+++ crosses out all of those problems

Summer is incomplete without a good mid mask . This year I am really digging this Pixi Glow Mud Mask. It has a relatively soft, flowy easy to spread texture which dries down completely in less than 10 mins. I have noticed that this really grabs all the gunk and sebum in my pores

Pimple patches are a must have for zit . I recently introduced this Purito All Care Recovery Cica Aid to my routine . I like these. They are thin and do the job without damaging the wallet

2ndesign First Lip Balm Restore and Soothe is a generous sized non scented lip balm that moisturizes chapped lips and makes them plump

I  am guilty of having smelly feet . This Keep Cool and Soothe Feet has been a complete game changer for me . It refreshes the feet and keep the dreadful smell under control.

APIEU Icing Sweet Bar Mask and AbyBOM Ultra Serum Leaf Mask are to of my favourite sheet masks for summer.  Both of them have nice thin sheets, good summer scent and water like essence.

Duft and Doft Stockholm Rose is the perfect floral scent you must try this summer. It is soft , feminine and very summer appropriate

Lastly I want to add in these two really summery nail enamels to the list. These are the Golden Rose Color Expert Nail Lacquer in Shade 113 and 130 . Just takes two coats to get beautiful color and shine.

[Review] COSRX Shield Fit All Green Comfort Sun SPF50+ PA++++

Cosrx has recently been releasing a lot of good stuff.  Since it will be summer soon I thought now was the best time to try a new sunscreen. There are two sunscreen in the COSRX Shield Fit. I selected the green version because according to Cosrx this was a better match for my oily skin. As pollution is increasing day by day, sunscreen has become a necessity for everyone. Be it a man or women. But since sunscreen is one cosmetic item that is worn for longer duration a comfortable light weight formula is what eveyone is looking for

Features
A mild mineral sunscreen forms skin protection film, so it protects your skin from UV without white cast.
Effectively lower skin temperature from ultraviolet rays to make skin calm.
It can be applied many times, providing light and fresh feeling, regardless of the season,even on days when the skin is sensitive.

This particular sunscreen is packaged in a  slim light green colored squeeze tube. I really appreciate the slim packaging. I find this very purse/ pocket friendly

This has a very runny texture. Its easy to apply on the face. I can also detect mild somewhat floral scent. The formula is non greasy and light weight ( you can barely feel the sunscreen on your skin)

Cosrx claims this to be white cast free but unfortunately that's not the case. It does leaves a white cast. ( though the white cast effect is slightly decreased if you wait for a few minutes but still you can detect the tone up effect this gives). The results may differ for other skin colors specially very pale skin. If you look at the ingredient list you are going to see Zinc Oxide an ingredient used in physical sunscreen which is responsible for white cast effect.

The white cast maybe a problem if you plan to wear this on its own but for me I wear sunscreen under my foundation so the white cast is not that much of a problem. Due to its almost matte finish this works so well for oily skin. It sits nicely under makeup and control sebum to some extent

Personally I am enjoying this sunscreen a lot and wish that cosrx would release a 50ml version of this sunscreen in future.
