This is super tiny and great to fit in your jeans pocket or purse. The design is very cute and quite a conversation starter. Their is quite a variety of colors ranging from pinks, orange to red and nudes. The shades have a white base so it appears true to its color on the lips. 

In some ways the formula reminds me of peripera airy ink tints. It is airy , cloud like and blurs the lips giving them a dreamy, filter like look. Very beautiful, perfect for instagram makeup. 

These last pretty well on my lips. I have noticed them to stay on my lips for around 6-8hrs (no eating or drinking) . Lighter shades tend to wear off fast after drinking or eating so reapplication is required.  The scent is sweet and gentle. Darker shades tend to leave a stain. 

There are a few cons that need to be addressed about this product:

1. The applicator is pretty small so it can be a little difficult to use at times. But once you get used to it. It is actually very fun and travel friendly

2. Because of the small applicator / wand you cant reach all of the product in the heart shape tube so you have to maneuver the wand in different directions to reach the product

3. The shade stickers tend to get lost pretty fast and once it is off you don't know the shade of the lip tint so it is a guess game from that point onwards

With that being said I really like these tints because they are super handy, the transparent packaging makes them stand out at my makeup vanity. I love their portable, friendly packaging and how little space these take in my makeup pouch.

 Mugwort has become the hot ingredient of this year and for a good reason too, How else were we going to calm out makne covered faces ? This mask has been around for a few years and it is a cult favourite too but because of the current situation it took me a long time to get my hands on this. 

AXIS-Y Mugwort Pore Clarifying Wash-Off Pack is the solution for Maskne. With the constant mask wearing there has been a rise in mask wearing induced acne, so AXIS-Y decided to formulate a mugwort mask pack which would solve this issue. This wash-off pack is enriched with 61% Mugwort Extract to soothe irritations, unclog pores and cleanse skin. Use this 2-3 times a week to keep the inflammation away, so you can wear your face mask without worrying about another acne breakout.

I love the compact plastic tub. I like the size and how the mask is filled to the very top

This has a nice pleasant herb scent to it. 

Unlike many clay mask I have tried in the past, the texture is very creamy and easy to blend. There are soft rounded Adzuki beans which not only are a lot smoother and safer for skin but also 100% biodegradable which it safer for environment. The ingredients list is pretty long but it contains tons of anti oxidants and skin calming ingredients

While we are discussing textures, it is worth mentioning that the green color is obtained from the plants used in manufacturing this product. It washes of easily without much effort and I haven't noticed any residual oil film on my face post application.

My Experience:

Normally I love to apply a generous layer of Aloe Gel to my irritated skin but now this has bagged that number one spot on my skincare shelf. I have been applying this twice a week on all the angry red spots and this works like a charm. I have noticed visible reduction in redness on face, my skin feels a lot more clearer , pores look smaller and my skin feels soft and smooth. Just 10 mins is all you need to have better skin. 

I will be stocking up more of these Amazing wash off masks because it is not easy to come by wash off clay masks that are non drying, makes the skin soft and smooth and helps with soothing irritated  skin

[Review] HOLIKA HOLIKA Wonder Lasting Survive Cream Shadow Smoke Bomb

 I had this cream shadow in my makeup stash for a while . As I am doing shop my stash challenge these days I decided to pull this out for use this month . 

The packaging is really beautiful. It has a nice shiny lid and a clear plastic pot. This come with a plastic seal to prevent the eyeshadow from drying out. Just keep the lid shut after use so that the shadow remains soft and usable

The creamy texture glides on the lids evenly without getting cakey. Strong at water and sweat with a long-lasting effect. Creates gorgeous makeup with matte and glitter finishes.

How to use:

Take a moderate amount with a finger and gently apply to your eyelids form the center and blending it.

This long lasting cream shadow has matte finish with specks of glitter which give it a sprinkled sugar effect.

I have this in shade Smoke Bomb which is a beautiful pale mauve color with silver specks in it. The texture is really creamy and pigmented . You can get intense color payoff with just one swipe. I use my fingers for application but a brush works just as as well as the fingers. After a few minutes te eyeshadow dries down to a matte finish and becomes budgeproof, sweat proof and water proof. If you have trouble making you eye makeup last long this is the one for you

This color is very versatile. You can use this on its own as a wash of color , apply it to tye cheeks as a blush or use this as a base color to help other powder eyeshadows to stick on better. Holika Holika just released an upgraded version of this eyeshadow. I will review those as soon as possible

[Review] Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum

So I had this popular serum in my skincare cabinet for over an year but never got around to using it until the start of this year 2021 when my skin messed up all of a sudden and I ended up with a constellation of scars on my face.  If I correctly remember my purchase was heavily influenced by all the raviews I found online so my expectations were very high with this product

Available only 4 weeks out of the year, green tangerines contain 10 times more vitamin C than mature tangerines. The vitamin C used in this collection, ascorbyl glucoside, is stable against light and non-irritating. Combined with arbutin (natural skin brightener) and niacinamide (vitamin B), the Vita C serum and cream work to provide long-lasting hydration and a brighter, more even skin tone. Great for all skin types, including sensitive.

I have tried multiple vitamin C serums over the course of 4 years but a serum containing 75% Green Tangerines extract was entirely new for me

Vitamin C serums are notorious for their very unstable nature and short shell life but this is different. The texture is gel like and is not affected by air or light whatsoever. According to the reviews shared online many people saw visible difference within 2 weeks time. If you analyze the ingredients list you will notice that the first ingredient listed is water followed by butylene glycol, three lines down and you can see niacianamide, arbitin and tangerine extract . There are some acne causing ingredients like essential oils further down the list so if you have sensitive skin beware

The packaging is a really heavy glass bottle with pastel green pump and a cap. Overall the packaging is beautiful but a little impractical for a clumsy person like me

The serum is gel like, it is ver yeasy to spread and I need only two pumps to cover my entire face . It leaves a slight tacky residue which makes this works great as a primer for my foundation and helps it to adhere better to my skin. It also keeps it hydrated during the day. Many gel creams and serums tend to pill when layered under makeup or other skincare products but this remains same through and through. 

I have been using this for 6 weeks now (I have used up half of the bottle already) and here is what I have noticed. First off this is really good at hydrating the skin. Specially in winters when the skin is flakey and dry this really fixes that issues. Secondly this doesn't oxide or change color like other vitamin C serums. In terms of brightening skin tone and lightening PIH I haven't noticed any major difference unfortunately. I feel like this is more off a slow working product that requires a lot of time to show results. Compared to other Vitamin C serums like Purito or The Ordinary I haven't experienced any skin irritation at all so I am really thankfully about that but for scars I didn't notice any laudable progress unlike the Ordinary Vitamin C suspension which healed and lightened my scars in just one week . 

I like this serum and would buy it again for its hydration and makeup primer properties but for my acne scars and PIH I will pick something else that is strong and more effective.

[Review] ONSAEMEEIN Aqua Deep Cleansing Gel

I picked this one up solely to deep cleanse my oily skin . But this surprised my tremendously in terms of performance and packaging

The mild and moisturizing cleansing gel deep-cleanses the skin and makeups without stimulation. Watery and moist texture eliminates makeups, skin wastes, and dead skin cells freshly. Contains natural ingredients like witch hazel that protect and care the skin without oiliness

This comes in a huge 300ml Sea blue colored plastic bottle. I was very surprised by the quantity. I am very pleased that the brand packed this cleanser in a pump bottle. Makes it so convenient to use. This is isn't designed for traveling so you might have to pump the cleanser in a travel bottle

This brand advertises this as a mild gel that can deep cleanse. I personally was a bit confused to see the word mild and deep used in the same sentence as they are a bit of an oxymoron (opposite of each other) nonetheless on my first use. I did notice that the gel was indeed mild. It is mild to an extend that it didn't foam up at all. I initially was under the impression that I pumped inadequate amount on my hands but the subsequent attemps yielded the same results I realised that this gel cleanser didn't foam up.

The transparent gel is very runny and smells faintly of flowers. This may be a deep cleanse but to me it feels too mild to actually deep cleanse makeup. This can remove a light layer of makeup easily but cant do much when It  comes to waterproof base makeup it is pretty helpless. 

This is suited for dry skin, cold winters and people who have sensitive skin. I am for now going to place this back in my skincare cabinet and wait for the weather to become colder so I can use it on my flakey skin .

Edit: I used this during winters and I am currently very impressed how gentle and nonI drying this is. My favorite way to use this is to apply it to my dry face , gently massage for a minute and then wash it off with cold water. This really removes all the sebum, residual sleeping mask and grime off my face but does not feel stripping at all

I have briefed about the functions of BHA in my previous posts. It is basically a chemical that goes deep into the pores to clear out sebum and gunk

The packaging is minimal. It reflects the fragrance free and minimal ingredients concept of the brand. The jar is not travel friendly but it is sturdy and holds 70 round /smooth cotton pads soaked in peeling solution

I anticipated some kind of embossed pattern on the pads but the dual smooth texture surprised me immensely. They have no scent. One thing I have noticed is that ths top pads tend to dry out faster as compared to the bottom ones. I usually place my jar upside down that way the peeling solution is distributed evenly and I get a soaked pad.

I have been using these for a long time now and I like how gentle yet eedctiveu these are. My skin texture improved with continuous use and my pores looked clean and somewhat small. These pads often go on sale at Jolse , RoseRoseshop and Yeststyle. I would RECOMMEND you to get these they are so effective and non irritating.

I know I haven't been too active on my blog lately. It is all because of my hectic calls in ER thanks to COVID19 . I finally managed to squeeze some time in my busy routine to type down this post

SUMMER SKINCARE FAVOURITES 2020

I shared my Makeup Favourites for 2020 in previous post. I have a few tried and tested skincare favourites for the summer of 2020
Lets start shall we !!

The first step of my skincare routine is an oil cleanser but since I have run out of my favorite Celimax Blackhead Removing Cleansing Oil I haven't found anything as that on my skincare routine

On the other hand I am genuinely enjoying the Senka Speedy Perfect Whip Cleanser . This is one of the cult favourite best selling cleanser from Japan. I opted for the pump bottle packaging as I really like the ease of use and tons of bubbles this creates.

Axisy Daily Purifying Treatment toner is something I used last year and liked it but them I got distracted and this ended up forgotten in my cupboard. But now due to the current pandemic and mask my acne has flared up pretty bad.  So I rediscovered this gem of product in my stash and incorporated this back into my routine. And slowly with continuous use my skin has improved a lot.

Sweating + sebum = clogged pores which means BHA. I have been using this Cosrx BHA Power Liquid on and off for 1 year and this works wonder for the pesky clogged pores I get on my face. I just pump this on a cotton pad and swipe it on my face gently a few times

Have you ever tried a gel spray . This Herb Doctor's Gel Spray surprised me a lot . It has this cool gel texture which sprays out like a liquid.  I like to pop this in fridge prior to use and trust me this feels so refreshing on a hot day. The hydration is adequate for my oily skin.

GASTON Shooting Star Crystal Eye Patch . It is hydrating, depuffing and beautiful to look at. Do I need to say more ? I am already at the end of my tub

A 2 in 1 product in my opinion that works really well in keeping the sebum under control with its smooth silicon like texture while protecting against the sun at the same time. Sunscreens are notorious for giving white cast or piling under makeup but this DMCK Clean AC Sunstick SPF 50 PA+++ crosses out all of those problems

Summer is incomplete without a good mid mask . This year I am really digging this Pixi Glow Mud Mask. It has a relatively soft, flowy easy to spread texture which dries down completely in less than 10 mins. I have noticed that this really grabs all the gunk and sebum in my pores

Pimple patches are a must have for zit . I recently introduced this Purito All Care Recovery Cica Aid to my routine . I like these. They are thin and do the job without damaging the wallet

2ndesign First Lip Balm Restore and Soothe is a generous sized non scented lip balm that moisturizes chapped lips and makes them plump

I  am guilty of having smelly feet . This Keep Cool and Soothe Feet has been a complete game changer for me . It refreshes the feet and keep the dreadful smell under control.

APIEU Icing Sweet Bar Mask and AbyBOM Ultra Serum Leaf Mask are to of my favourite sheet masks for summer.  Both of them have nice thin sheets, good summer scent and water like essence.

Duft and Doft Stockholm Rose is the perfect floral scent you must try this summer. It is soft , feminine and very summer appropriate

Lastly I want to add in these two really summery nail enamels to the list. These are the Golden Rose Color Expert Nail Lacquer in Shade 113 and 130 . Just takes two coats to get beautiful color and shine.
