[Review] AMOREPACIFIC APRIL TRIAL KIT

I was holding onto this kit so that I could use this on a trip or take it to hospital with me on a call day. But the Covid19 just threw water over all my plans so I decided to just incorporate the products to my routine and enjoy them before they expired.

I am very impressed by the thought that was put into curating this kit.  Because it is perfect . It contains all the cult favourite skincare that everyone loves. Moreover it includes all the basic and important skincare steps

Primera Peeling Facial Mild - Broccoli Sprout. 

Improves skin texture and tone through smooth removal of dead skin cells.
Removes dead skin cell to make the skin’s surface smooth. Biopolymer film forms a supple barrier to protect the skin.

Starting off with the peeling gel . I really liked the fresh clean scent. It is gentle and really removes all the dead cells. This is my first ever primera product and I would be excited to try more products from the brand in future

HERA Sun Mate Leports SPF 50 -

A travel kit is incomplete if it lacks sunscreen. I was so thrilled to try this deluxe tube of high end sunscreen

 Sunscreen that offers both water and sweat resistance with strong UV protection for prolonged outdoor activity. Enhanced PA++++ formula provides intensive protection against UVA to keep the skin healthy.

The product itself has a bit of a neon yellow tinge and  a hint of a floral scent to it. When you rub it onto the skin. It immediately adds a sheen to the face minus the white cast. It is very moisturizing and sits so beautifully under foundation . I have added this to my winter wishlist it is really worth the splurge

Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum EX Essence Anti Aging 

The packaging is so freakin' Adorable. Like look at that miniature pump bottle

An essential first-step serum formulated with JAUM Balancing Complex™ assures a glowing and healthier look by harmonizing the balance of your skin.

I got an opportunity to try out this essence from Sulwhasoo. Though the quantity was too small to see any significant results but I did enjoyed the texture and the ginseng scent. I might but a full size bottle for my mother

IOPE Super Vital Cream Rich

Heard Joan Kim mention this eye cream in her post. I know the tub looks small but this will last you a really long time

Total anti aging cream (ultra moisturizing) that contains powerful plant energy to meticulously care for complex signs of aging.

This smells a bit like tea. It is intensely moisturizing, preps under eye area for makeup and absorbs easily into the skin.

HANYUL - Pure Artemisia Mild Cleansing Foam 

I feel that my skincare is incomplete without Cica or Artemesia these days. First off the scent is so fresh . I really have this line from Hanyul on my wishlist

Excellent moisturizing power helps protect your skin after washing.
Removes makeup and reduces stimulation.
Rich lather cleanses every part of skin. 

The texture is really nice, it thoroughly removes dirt and sebum. And makes some really intense bubbles/foam

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

The most talked about product from Laneige. I was expecting some kind of balm like sealant but the gel texture really caught me off guard

An overnight, moisture-recharging gel mask that quickly absorbs while you sleep to deeply hydrate skin. 

I have used this a few times I think this works with all skin types. The small tub is cute too

[Review] Laneige Cream Skin Refiner Unpopular Opinion

Laneige a brand popular for its water sleeping mask recently released another hit multitasking skincare product ( which has it own line by the wat consisting of a cream skin pads, cream skin mist and cream skin cleanser ). The whole concept is impressive and it very popular among the korean skincare enthusiast.

So when I saw a 50ml deluxe size of this popular toner, into my cart this went. It is promoted as a skincare product suitable for all skin types. Now I have oily/dehydrated skin so I am very cautious when using face creams because they clog pores and aggravate acne. I don't know why but when I read the description for some reason, I believed that this product was suitable for me I should have known better

For the western market Laneige rebranded this as Laneige Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer,

According to the LANEIGE Product Development Team ''this is a toner with new formula in which a whole bottle of cream is dissolved with safe ingredients to keep the skin hydrated and healthy''

Features
It melts the cream into the skin and keeps the skin moist.
White Leaf Tea Water which has rich Amino acid strengthens rough skin barrier.
When used consistently, the dryness of the skin would be alleviated and turn the dull skin into shiny even after the makeup.

Unlike the Original full-size product the deluxe bottle is transparent and has a nice heavy lid. It has a typical toner like opening to dispense the product

My Experience

Since this is basically a cream in a toner it has the fluid texture of a toner and the milky opacity of a cream. I splashed a small amount in my palm and patted it into my face

I was instantly impressed. Even though it looked like toner. It felt far more moisturizing. It absorbed easily leaving a hint of moisture film on my face. I was in love ( or so I thought ) until next morning when I woke up with multiple white bumps on my face

Since I was testing a few new skincare products at that time I suspected a sleeping mask to be the prime culprit and removed it from my routine but the next day there were more whiteheads on my face. That is when I started suspecting Laneige Cream Skin Refiner to be the one fault . Over the course of one week my skin looked terrible. I had two very painful nodular breakouts on my cheek . And a lot of PIH.

I was so hearbroken to find out that this was not suitable for my skin. From my guess either it is too hydrating for my skin, or there is an ingredient that my skin doesn't like.  Thankfully I purchased the deluxe size so my wallet was saved. I by no means say that this is bad product. Because there is huge fan following and many folks swear by this stuff. But unfortunately this didn't work for my skin

[Review] LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Mint Choco

I reviewed the Etude House Mint Chocolate lip scrub last year. As much as I loved the lip scrub I was very disappointed by the scent because it smelled more like chocolate and less mint so I really hoped that this lip sleeping mask would have that mint scent that I love

Laneige recently changed the packaging of this lip scrub (probably because of all the counterfeits that were circulating in the market) so it looks a little bit different now. The glass tub is replaced with a plastic tub and the font on the front a lot larger and prominent.

The box comes with a free silicon spatula. Its cute and very sturdy .

Features

The Berry Mix Complex™ tend the dry lips smooth and tight with the vitamin C and anti-oxidant ingredients.
The Moisture Wrap™ contains dense ß-glucan moisture barrier with hydro-ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, and hunza apricot extract, helping absorption into the skin.

I have heard many great things about this particular mask so my expectations were very high. The first thing I noticed was that this smells very minty ( thanks God ) and very moisturizing as well. I applied a generous amount to my lips before going to bed. I noticed that the mask absorbed into the skin after a few minutes but there was light residual balm like film on my lips to lock in the moisture .

The next morning my lips looked so smooth and plump. My matte lipstick went on smoothly as well

This lip sleeping mask is a multiplayer. This work as an overnight lip treatment but you can also use this as a lip balm and a lip gloss to add a bit of shine on top of lipstick. I don't know about other flavours but this Mint Choco gives cooling sensation to the lips. Personally really love this lip mask and I use this Day and Night when ever my lips feel dry and cracked
