January 03, 2016 2

I enjoyed using the the matte effect foundation by Makeup Revolution all year due to the natural coverage it provided and the light formula

I also liked the pro base primer by MUA

Marshmallowby MUA  still remains my favorite blush this year

This year I embraced the nude lips trend. most of the lipsticks I purchased were either mlbb or nude shade
My favorite liplner has to be by essence as it can be worn alone or under any lipstick/ lipgloss (read review here)

For lipsticks in the flesh by wet n wild, treat by makeup revolution and rendezvousby MUA were the most worn lipsticks

the heaven and earth palette by MUA was the best eyeshadow palette i tried this year.when it comes to my oily lids eyeshadow pencil by jordana was the perfect choice

the i love extreme volume mascara by essence still remains to be my fav mascara this year

circle lens

i reviewed a lot of circle lens in year 2015, it was fun trying them

Makeup revolution: the matte effect foundation

January 23, 2015 0

Shade; ivory

Price: 350 pkr

Its quite a task to find a perfect match for your skin when purchasing a pressed powder concealer or foundation and even more hard when purchasing it from an online store because sometimes they don’t have the swatch available or the lightening is terrible I am sure some of you might have bought a product which is either too light for your skin or too dark ( I went through this experience one)

So I was a bit doubtful when purchasing this foundation since it had too options for fair skin one in Cool ivory and the other in shade ivory

After a long mental debate I trusted my instincts and bough this shade (ivory) and was quite happy when it matched my skin color (see always trust your instinct)
This should have been named as a tinted moisturizer or a cc cream due to its hydrating properties and sheer coverage

About the packaging;

There is nothing much to tell about it. The small rectangular tube is squeezable has a somewhat secure black cap at the end. The product comes out from a tiny nozzle

About the product

Let me clear one thing this foundation is not matte at all its quite sheer and gives a dewy finish
The formula is quite light in weight and is buildable it does not has any shimmer particles in it

My opinion

I don’t wear heavy coverage foundations or pressed powder mainly due to the reason that I have oily skin so I look out for products which allow my skin to breathe plus I don t have many pimples or acne so sheer to medium coverage  works best for me plus I do have concealer to  cover my dark circles

I wore this on my skin for a good 8 hrs. when I was traveling from one city to another. My skin did got shiny after 4 hrs. which I blotted with a tissue. Surprisingly the product did not transfer on the tissue which is a good thing. I also didn’t experience any break outs

This may not be a good foundation for oily skin due to its dewy finish but  is pretty good for dry skin my mom wears this every day to give herself an even skin tone

You might like it:

If you have dry skin
You like foundations which give dewy finish
You are looking for light weight sheer foundation
You like tinted moisturizer

You might not like it

If you want matte foundation
You have oily skin
You wear heavy/medium coverage foundation

I rate this product 3.5 out of 5

This product is available at and in Pakistan .you can also purchase it from makeup revolution store online
