[Review] CLIO TWINKLE POP Pearl Flex Glitter Eye Palette in Hey Coral

Eyeshadows have become my recent makeup obsession. In last few months I have accumulated quite an abnormal amount of eye shadows in my makeup drawer. This palette from Twinkle Pop caught my attention because of its fun everyday color story and cute small travel friendly packaging

Description:

This eye shadow palette comprising of four shades in matte, shimmery and glittery formulations is must-have for makeup looks ranging from low-key glam to disco-ready. Super-adherent formula glides on smoothly to stay put all day without caking. Comes in four soft and dreamy color combinations, including pink, coral, orange and brown

This comes in 05 different color stories. I bought the coral edition because I lacked colors like this in my collection

The transparent acrylic packaging is very chic and compact. There is no mirror or brush included which is fine since the palette is quite small. There are 4 shades in total . Two mattes , one pearlescent  shade and one with macro glitter particles. You cab easily create both daytime and glam eye looks with a single palette.

The adherence and lasting power of all the shades is really good. The mattes blend nicely and show up well on my skin. The gold pearlescent shade is very bright and works great to emphasize the aegyeosal. The macro glitter is something I reach for on special occasions only. I have observed that it works great as an eyelid topper and adds multidimensional look to the eye makeup

Overall I am quite impressed with this small palette. I will try more colors from this series. You can purchase this at Club Clio Global website or at Yesstyle.com

Club Clio Global Haul

I made my first purchase at the Club Clio website a few weeks back and the experience was actually pretty good

They have a lot of products on discounted price and you can get tons of free samples with your purchase. I paid around 50$ ( that includes shipping ). You can get free shipping if your order exceed the 60$ value but them you can't use any discount code with it

All the items of my order were securely wrapped in bubble wrap packaging. Even though a few of my items were in liquid form .

I will start off with the most expensive item of my haul. Since my acne is all over the place I decided to buy a BB cream specifically for acne prone skin. The Dermatory Pro Trouble Acne BB cream has a really travel friendly packaging. I haven't opened it yet but I will be sharing my thoughts once I do . The ingredients list contains Salicylic acid and Centella Asiatica

Next off we have the PeriPera Double cover cushion. You know I enjoyed the previous ( bright pink Peripera Cushion a lot so I have high hopes for this one as well ) overall the packaging is thin and sleek

I also bought the Peripera Oil Capture Cover Powder. It is often out of stock on the Club Clio website so figured that it must be a best seller at the website . The hexagonal puff is actually pretty cute

Ssin voted the Peripera Longwear Cover Concealer as best of 2020 . So I was pretty curious about the performance of this one. In the packaging this looks very pigmented lets see how this works for my flaky skin type

I added the Peripera Lip and Eye remover because it was just 3$ on the website. It is a biphasic makeup remover. Hopefully it will be non irritating for my sensitive eyes

I am not a big fan of peachy/orangy blushes . I picked this peripera pure blushed sunshine cheek one for my sister the color is actually more of a muted dried rose shade. Can't really figure out why it came out so Orangy in pictures

I am running low on makeup setting spray. So I added this Ink Setting All Day makeup fixer by Peripera to my cart. The spray nozzle is pretty good and distributes the product evenly on the face

The final product from Peripera that I bought is the Milk Blur Rosy Toneup Cream. You all might know that by now that I am a big fan of tone up creams this one has more of a skin tint. I hope this works with my skin color .

I bought a cute tiny Quad from Twinkle Pop Pearl Flex Glitter Eye Palette is a sister brand of peripera. The glitter in this palette are pretty sparkly. I plan to share a very detailed review of this next on my blog so keep your eyes peeled for that

And lastly we have this cute travel size handcream set from Healing Bird. I have a self diagnosed OCD or maybe it is the virus which has turned me into this hand washing maniac. But this trio have some really lovely scents so I added it to the cart without any second thought.

This wraps up my haul. Club Clio gave me samples too with the order but I gave them away to my brother . Out of all these products which interests you the most ?

CLIO Kill Lash Mascara Remover Review

My favorite makeup item has to be mascara. I just can't get enough of it. I have around 15 tubes of mascaras open right now . I have tried multiple korean mascara's and overall enjoyed using them too but one problems I ave faced is that, they are so hard to remove that I was forced to stop  using them altogether. I have used special designated eye makeup removers, oil cleansers, balm cleansers but still there is always a bit of residue left and I end up loosing eye lashes  post removal

I saw CLIO Kill Lash Mascara Remover online and decided to add that to my cart with hopes that this might solve the problem and to my utter surprise it did.

The bent brush applies content on the front, back and under the eyelashes in detail. The brush can cleanse each lash meticulously because it holds content densely! No more complicated cleansing that requires rubbing! After applying the product on the eyelashes, simply wipe clean with a cotton pad. That’s it for mascara cleansing!

Because it has higher oil content than Lip & Eye Removers, it can even melt and instantly remove waterproof mascara

* HOW TO USE

After applying remover on the eyelashes with mascara in a sweeping motion, apply the remover with the bent brush on the front, back and under the eyelashes in detail.

After a short moment, lightly wipe the molten mascara clean with a cotton pad or a tissue. After wiping off the residue on the brush, store the brush in the container.

Packaging resembles a mascara tube. A long wand with a silicon/rubber mascara comb at the end. The brush is flexible and can be easily maneuvered around the corner of the eyes. Each tube contains 11g of product

I applied the toughest/ most water resistant / curling korean mascara I had in my makeup stash. And by the end of the day proceeded to remove it from my eyelashes. The process was easy. Just run the silicone brush applicator through the eyelashes. Wait a minute ir two and gently massage the product into the lashes to emulsify the mascara. Then wash it off with water or use a wet wipe .

I was really shocked how effortless and easy it was to remove the mascara in just one swipe. My lashes looked clean and healthy. The remover didn't irritate my eyes ( no burning sensation) and it was very easy to remove, just plain water and it was off.

I made the mistake of not wipping off the residual mascara from the silicone brush applicator the first time but after reading the instructions I now wipe the applicator with a tissue every time I use it.

I have  already ordered multiple tubes of this mascara remover because this has solved my biggest problem. now I can freely try all the toughest  most water resistant asian mascaras without any worries

You can buy this at the clio global website

[Review] Goodal Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum

So I had this popular serum in my skincare cabinet for over an year but never got around to using it until the start of this year 2021 when my skin messed up all of a sudden and I ended up with a constellation of scars on my face.  If I correctly remember my purchase was heavily influenced by all the raviews I found online so my expectations were very high with this product

Available only 4 weeks out of the year, green tangerines contain 10 times more vitamin C than mature tangerines. The vitamin C used in this collection, ascorbyl glucoside, is stable against light and non-irritating. Combined with arbutin (natural skin brightener) and niacinamide (vitamin B), the Vita C serum and cream work to provide long-lasting hydration and a brighter, more even skin tone. Great for all skin types, including sensitive.

I have tried multiple vitamin C serums over the course of 4 years but a serum containing 75% Green Tangerines extract was entirely new for me

 Ingredients

Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Methyl Gluceth-20, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycereth-26, Niacinamide, Arbutin, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Extract, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Panthenol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Choleth-24, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Adenosine, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Disodium EDTA, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Glycyrrhiza Uralensis (Licorice) Root Extract, Glycerin, Madecassoside, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Maltodextrin, Saccharide Hydrolysate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Asiaticoside, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract

Vitamin C serums are notorious for their very unstable nature and short shell life but this is different. The texture is gel like and is not affected by air or light whatsoever. According to the reviews shared online many people saw visible difference within 2 weeks time. If you analyze the ingredients list you will notice that the first ingredient listed is water followed by butylene glycol, three lines down and you can see niacianamide, arbitin and tangerine extract . There are some acne causing ingredients like essential oils further down the list so if you have sensitive skin beware

The packaging is a really heavy glass bottle with pastel green pump and a cap. Overall the packaging is beautiful but a little impractical for a clumsy person like me

The serum is gel like, it is ver yeasy to spread and I need only two pumps to cover my entire face . It leaves a slight tacky residue which makes this works great as a primer for my foundation and helps it to adhere better to my skin. It also keeps it hydrated during the day. Many gel creams and serums tend to pill when layered under makeup or other skincare products but this remains same through and through.

I have been using this for 6 weeks now (I have used up half of the bottle already) and here is what I have noticed. First off this is really good at hydrating the skin. Specially in winters when the skin is flakey and dry this really fixes that issues. Secondly this doesn't oxide or change color like other vitamin C serums. In terms of brightening skin tone and lightening PIH I haven't noticed any major difference unfortunately. I feel like this is more off a slow working product that requires a lot of time to show results. Compared to other Vitamin C serums like Purito or The Ordinary I haven't experienced any skin irritation at all so I am really thankfully about that but for scars I didn't notice any laudable progress unlike the Ordinary Vitamin C suspension which healed and lightened my scars in just one week .

I like this serum and would buy it again for its hydration and makeup primer properties but for my acne scars and PIH I will pick something else that is strong and more effective.

Review] CLIO Kill Cover Pink Glow Cream Cushion

Gave in to hype this time and tried this super popular CLIO Kill Cover Pink Glow Cream Cushion from CLIO. This cushion from what I have gathered from my research is quite popular in South Korea right now.

I have tried a cushion from Clio previously. I liked the coverage and the finish but the pink undertone didn't go well with my yellow skin tone. Luckily this cushion has more of that yellow undertone so it matches my skin color quite well

The packaging is quite pretty . The cover is duo chrome pale pink and has reflective properties. The cushion inside has a cream colored theme with a tear drop sponge. Overall its sturdy and has a nice mirror

Features

The cream texture melt into warmth of skin providing natural flawless glowing skin.
Quick and easy makeup for smooth skin at anywhere and anytime and keep bright color without dullness.
Containing 6 ceramide ingredients keeps your skin moisturized for a long time.

Upon peeling the cover I found a two toned base product . Unlike the regular soaked cushion this as a creamy foundation. The beige side was greater in proportion as compared to the pink one. I swatched each side individually and found out that the beige side was moist and provided coverage while the pink side added tone up effect along with glow to the face

I like to dip the sponge more on the beige side and use the pink side on selective areas that look dull and discolored . This cushion gives a beautiful glow to the skin . The coverage leans more on the sheer to medium side. This can blur imperfections to some extend but you do need concealer on top to hide all the imperfections. I have oily skin so with time my skin looks greasy . To battle my sebum problem I apply a light layer of translucent powder on top. This way my face looks slightly dewy but not greasy.

For my oily skin this cushion is working quite well for cold winter season. Its stays put for 5 hrs without looking patchy but I think in humid summer weather this is going to slide of my face right away. I would recommend this if you have dry to combination skin. For oily skin folks winter season would be a better choice to use this cushion

[Review] Clio Veil Tint Dewy 07 Sandy Beach

If you have tried liptints in past you must be familiar with the fact that they can be very drying at times . I generally prefer lipsticks over lip tints as they are more moisturizing

Since its winter I wanted something neutral and moisturizing for my lips. I found these on Jolse and the combination of dewy with tint sounded interesting

Features
Translucent coloring fixes to the lips while the tint formula leaves you revitalized for a lasting lip expression.
Dewy glow minimizes sticky sensation for a delicate finish, contains moisturizing serum for a hydrating, smoothly-textured lip expression.
This long-lasting tint that lasts with subtle glow coating.

The collection had a lot of color variety from juicy peach, to vibrant pink, neutral mlbb colors bold reds and ready for fall burgundy

The packaging is simple and elegant. Each of the tints come in a translucent packaging along with color coded cap. The applicator flat and distributes the product quite evenly

I got the shade 07 Sandy Beach. The color is a very pretty orange brown shade which can be worn all year long. The texture is more like a lip gloss minus the sticky part.  Its very emolient and leaves a stain on the lips.

I have noticed that the glossy part wears down with time but the stain remains . One thing that didn't settle well with me was the tatste. I liked the fruity scent but the taste of the lip tint was sweet is a very odd way.

Some days I wear this on its own as a tint. Other days I like layer this on top of a lipstick for a hint of shine. Overall this is actally quite a nice tint from Clio. I would recommend you all to give this one a try

[Review] peripera Ink Matte Blur Cushion #02 Neutral Vanilla

Peripera is a sister brand of Clio so naturally the products have a quality similar to that of Clio. ( Clio makes one of the best cushion and lipsticks) Peripera has previously released a lot of cushion products this is one of the new launches. This cushion is designed as an all in one product which blurs pores, and keeps the skin sebum free

Features
Triple Layering Powder Complex expresses even the oily skin smoothly and freshly.
Bonding Formula keeps the makeup fresh and without the need for makeup corrections.
Lightweight powder covers the skin brightly without stuffiness or stimulating the skin

This comes in three colors :
#01 Pure Ivory
#02 Neutral Vanilla
#03 Honey Beige

After looking at the swatches online I decided to go with #22 Neutral Vanilla since #23 looked too dark for my skin and #21 looked like it will suit pale skin better. But when I applied it to my hand the color resembled the standard #21 of korean foundation. Personally I am not surprised much because Peripera is known for its inaccurate product swatches

This comes with a refill. The packaging for some reason reminds me of beach ( neon pink ) . I am a bit skeptic about the cushion puff though. Its soft and squishy but the strap is made of plastic material and I fear it it is going to break easily. This comes in with a 14g Refill which makes this cushion really good value .

The color #22 turned out be a  slightly lighter than my skin color ( its summer and I have a light tan ). The coverage is light to medium and gives semi matte finish. Even though it has powder particles in it to control sebum it transfers/ rubs off easily from the skin. I wore this to work (6-7hrs) and my base makeup looked patchy at some areas like my chin and nose. This also has a mild floral scent and does not oxidize to a darker color

I think you do need a setting powder on top to  keep the foundation in place and look fresh all day. I don't think its a bad or disappointing cushion . I just think that Pakistani Summer's require a more long-lasting foundation which can withstand 42°C and excessive sweating.

I am going to use  peripera Ink Matte Blur Cushion more once the mercury comes down a few degrees as I feel this will work with my skin a lot better then.

peripera Ink Matte Blur Cushion is currently sold at Jolse.com
