[Review] ZERO MAKEUP PALETTE in PORCELAIN

I have been looking upto Nabila since my teenage years. Her creative makeup looks for the fashion weeks have always fascinated me. I remember cutting out her interview from Dawn Newspaper 'IMAGES section in 2009' because it was so inspiring and motivating.

This pallete was initially launched as No Makeup Palette in 2015 but then got revamped as ZERO MAKEUP FACE PERFECTING PALETTE in 2017. Back then I was a very broke college student who survived on maybeline pressed powders so purchasing this palette was out of question for me. But now that I have a little bit of cash to spare. I decided to splurge on my birthday and treat myself to something luxurious. So here I am with this beautiful chic ZERO MAKEUP pallete

I will start with the price first because that is what makes everyone think twice before making a purchase. 5900/ 35$ is admittedly a big amount to pay for a daily makeup palette. But if you break it down category wise, it is not so expensive because you get a color corrector, cream blush, a mlbb lip color,  light base to cover up imperfections and a pressed powder to lock everything in place. This palette often goes on sale so can easily buy it at 25% , 30% and even 50% off discount.  So you can get it at a very affordable price

This comes in a total of 6 shades. All the palettes are tailored according to the skin tones and colors. There is variety of darker shades suitable for desi skin folks,so there is a shade for everyone.

Description:

The PORCELAIN palette is for very fair skin tones. Our shade selection allows for one person to wear up to 3 different shades at any given time. An all-in-one solution that provides a "no makeup makeup" look anytime, any place. Our formula allows for full coverage while maintaining a natural appearance. All products in the Face Perfecting Palette are cream based. Our products are formulated to work with all skin types. The palette is the perfect product for anyone that prefers that "off duty model" look.

Packaging is really pretty and gives it high end makeup vibes. I love the reflective exterior but one thing sad about us that It gets dirty easily from makeup smudges and fingerprints etc so have to wipe it down frequently. Palette is overall very compact, not bulky at all and fits really well in the purse. Comes in with a really nice mirror and a powder puff. I personally don't like the puff. Because it looks and feels cheap. But using a powder brush solves that problem so no worries. This is 5 step palette so I will be discussing each category step wise.

Before I begin I will explain a little about my skin color and type. I have fair skin. I am by no means super pale . Korean foundations in shade #21 suit me best. I have Oily/dehydrated skin but since I am on topical retinoids these days my skin is a little dry and flaky. So I prefer using more moisturizing and dewy foundations.

Step 1: The concealer is used to correct dark circles and any pigmentation.

This is a color corrector designed to neutralize all the bluish purple patches on the face specifically the under eye dark circles. This has a very creamy, full coverage formula. It really covers up my chronic dark circles. Since the formula is thick and on the creamier side setting it immediately with powder is the best way to prevent creasing. I love this color corrector a lot and often use this underneath my other foundations. It does not makes my under eyes look gray or uneven. Really impressed with this one.

Step 2: The blender infuses the blender seamlessly and is ideal for covering blemishes and other imperfections.

This is a sheer to medium coverage foundation/base to add a healthy sheen to the face while adding a hint of pigment to cover up any imperfection. I have noticed that this is somewhat builable if you use it with a makeup sponge but your acne scars will still be visible to some extend. Since this is a Zero makeup pallete . This fits No Makeup Makeup look perfectly. You can barely tell that I have any foundation on my face. Because if its creamy nature it blends in easily without being cakey. It does not accentuate pores or skin texture which is really good. For oily skin folks I recommend using a translucent powder on top to prevent skin from looking greasy after a few hours. For combination to dry skin folks use powder if needed. I personally love the dewy , glossy makeup so I just set my under eyes and T zone with powder.

Step 3: The blush; a creamy, and buildable formula to enhance the cheeks.

Since these palettes are designed by a makeup artist. All the colors are picked after careful selection. The blush in porcelain palette has a slight pink/peach hue. Very easy to blend into the cheeks with finger tips. Texture is emolient and easy to work with. For my skin tone this blush looks really natural and pretty. Love the health dewy flush this gives to the cheeks. This lasts for around 5-6 hrs on the cheeks. For someone like me who is not a big fan of blush. I actually like this innocent peach pink shade it is very neutral and non intimidating for everyday makeup look.

Step 4: A hydrating lip stain to define your pout in the most natural way.

This lipstain gives the lips a hint of color. It is sheer and adds subtle definition to the lips. Just perfect for my lips but better look. Since it is on the sheer side . The lasting power is around 2hrs. But you can easily reapply it to the lips and you don't need a lip liner or lip brush. Just clean finger tips for a glossy juicy lip. I think the word lip stain can a be a little misleading. ( korean lipstains are super long-lasting and dont come off easily) in my option balm stain will be a more appropriate name for this one .

Step 5: Last but not least, a translucent powder to help set your natural look. It can be reapplied throughout the day without looking cakey.

A have used a lot of face powder and believe me it is not easy to find a good face powder. This is hands down one of the best face powder I have used in a while. It sets makeup, makes it look smooth. Adds a hint of coverage without making it look cakey. It does not oxide after a few hours and most importantly it is finely milled. The puff is flimsy so I prefer to apply this with a powder brush.

Final Conclusion:

This is a Zero Makeup Palette so don't expect to achieve a full coverage, heavy makeup look with this. This more of a natural face, my skin but better kind of makeup look pallete. The size is small and perfect to take on a trip/ camping or to work. It contains all the face makeup products you need to look put together. The portion size of the blender section is admittedly small and you will run out of this first. But rest of the products will remain for a long time. I highly recommend you to visit there salons or take the onkine shade finder test to figure out your shade . The shade range is actually pretty impressive and inclusive for various skin tones compared to what we get in the local market. Do I recommend this palette ? Yes Absolutely I am really impressed. It work well for my skin type. Due to its creamy nature I will be using this more on cold weather. I will definitely repurchase this once I run out of it
