A Comparison Review: Purito Water Comfy Sunblock, Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun and Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun

Sunscreen Sunscreen Sunscreen I just cant have enough of them. I have been planning this post for a really long term time but I thought to wait for the unscented version and include it as a part of review too

I have reviewed all of these sunscreens individually in previous posts both on my blog and instagram. Incase you want to read an in-depth review with more pictures and details you can check the posts here and here

I have oily/dehydrated acne prone skin. And currently the city where I am residing is going through very hot and humid summer season ( 43C+ )

Physical and chemical sunscreens both work on the principles of absorbing UV waves and turning them into heat energy but Physical Sunscreen also reflectes about 5-10% of UV rays

I will start with the packaging:
Purito uses recycled card box for packing all its products. They take the word ''Green'' seriously. Some of these boxes have extra information, ingredients list and fun facts printed on the inside of the box

Another notable thing about these sunscreen is that Comfy Sunblock has blue details on tube while Safe Sun has Green details and Unscented version is white with Green Outline

Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun and PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun (read review here) are chemical sunscreens and have a distinct light green color. But the difference between the two is in the ingredients list. If you look closely you will see that the essentials oil ( Lavender oil and Nobilis flower oil) are completely removed from the Unscented Formula and that is why its 100% scent free
Both of these have an emulsion like quality to them they feel moisturizing on the skin and spread easily too. Initially when you rub it onto the skin its becomes white but within a minute or two it completely blends into the skin and leaves zero white cast

On other hand Purito Water Comfy Sunblock has a more of a cream like consistency , leaves no white cast, is a bit less moisturizing than the Purito Safe sun and leaves a somewhat matte finish . It also uses physical filters like Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for absorbing/reflecting UV rays

From my perspective  ''Purito Water Comfy Sunblock is better suited for oily to combination skin, for hot, humid, summer weather or for those who prefer physical susncreens in general''

While ''Purito Centella Safe Sun is more moisturizing and suitable for people who prefer chemical sunscreen or have dry to normal skin, spend a lot of time in air conditioned room or the weather is dry and cold''

'' And for people who have sensitive skin and react to Lavender Oil, or prefer scent free sunscreens PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun is the best option ''

Purito recently announced that they will be releasing an unscented version of Purito Water Comfy Sunblock soon so keep your eyes peeled for the exciting launch

You can purchase Purito Water Comfy Sunblock, Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun and Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun all at Jolse

[Review] PURITO Centella Green Level Unscented Sun

I have a special place in heart for brands who listen to suggestions and complains of their consumers carefully and make adjustments/alterations to their product accordingly

Many people (who had sensitive skin) were a bit wary of essentials oils in Purito products as it can trigger acne. So Purito released the unscented + essential oil free version of their best selling chemical sunscreen

I have my own list of acne triggering ingredients but lavender oil thankfully is not one of them so honestly speaking I wasn't much bothered by essential oils in Purito's skincare products

I have previously tried the PURITO Centella Green Level Safe Sun and really like the moisturizing and non tacky properties
 Unscented and even more gentle!

According to the Brand

The product contains mild and safe ingredients that are EWG Green Level Grades 1 and 2 to avoid side effects of the existing chemical sunscreens such as eye and skin irritation. It doesn’t cause any discomfort, even when applied to sensitive skin. If applying sunscreen before makeup was a burden because of the white cast and the stifling feeling, PURITO Centella Unscented is the right product for you, as it spreads in a thin, transparent layer and doesn’t leave a heavy finish on the skin.

PURITO Centella Unscented Sun is specifically formulated for people who either dont like scented products, or are sensitive to essential oils. This particular sunscreen has  highly concentrated super centella hence the green color.

Ingredients:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Glycerin, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene,Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Dibutyl Adipate, Ethylhexyl Triazone,  Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Sorbitan Stearate,Centella Asiatica Extract(4315ppm), Madecassoside,Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol

This comes in a white squeeze tube and holds 60ml of product in it. The sunscreen has lotion like consistency. Its very easy to spread and absorbs easily without any whitecast of tacky feel. The mild green color comes from centella asiatica. This smells like nothing. I have sniffed this multiple times and my nose couldn't detect any scent. On my oily skin this leaves a slightly dewy finish. The texture is light and it doesn't clog pores ( unlike western sunscreen ) . I have been wearing this continuously under my makeup and this works so well as a base.

Overall I am really impressed with this sunscreen because its very moisturizing, white cast, fragrance, paraben and silicon free. Plus its loaded with skin repairing ingredient like centella asiatica

If you have sensitive skin, or you avoid essential oils in skincare or you have dry to normal skin type you are going to enjoy this a lot. This is going to be my go to sunscreen for winters

[Review] PURITO Comfy Water Sunblock

PURITO is a combined word of "Purify" and "To” (comes from a Chinese character, 土 meaning “Soil”). “Purify” means to purify their natural ingredients to create safe and clean products.  “To” means to go back to basics to strengthen and repair collapsed skin barriers.

Purito previously introduced a chemical sunscreen last year which was very well received in the skincare community because of zero white cast and nice moisturizing texture. This year Purito added physical sunscreen to add more options for various skin concerns. Personally I prefer physical sunscreens over chemical ones because I have sensitive eyes and some skincare/ makeup products can cause irritation

Features:
A mild sunblock with a powerful broad-spectrum SPF50+ PA++++ . The lightweight, non-greasy formula can be spread effortlessly without leaving a sticky feeling
Safe to use, with 100% non-nano mineral active ingredients & EWG green level ingredients

Ingredients

Water, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin , Dipropylene Glycol, Zinc Oxide, Silica, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Titanium Dioxide(CI 77891),Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Cetearyl Olivia, Sorbitan Olivate, Stearic Acid, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside , Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil,
Lauroyl Lysine , Disodium EDTA, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Adenosine, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer

The sunblock is made from ingredients with an EWG Green Level rating of 1 or 2 and so it can be used safely on even the most sensitive skins.

• It is a non-nano physical sunscreen that reflects and scatters 100% of UV rays from the surface of the skin. It can be used by pregnant women and children, as well as everyone else in your family.

• It is a fresh and light physical sunscreen without the stiff and sticky feeling and makeup smearing effect you experience with other sunblocks, through its 70% water-based composition and PURITO’s proprietary technology, leaving you feeling soft and fresh.

• An SPF 50+ PA++++ rating means the sunblock thoroughly and safely blocks out UV rays.

The packaging is really simple squeeze tube which holds 60 ml of product in it. I really prefer squeeze tubes because of their hygienic and spill proof nature. Overall 60 ml is an amount which exceeds normal. sunscreen quantity that many brands offer which is great and makes this economical too

I like the cream like texture of this sunblock. Comparing  this to the PURITO Centella Green Level Safe Sun   which has more of a emulsion like consistency and is a chemical  sunscreen this feels so nice and light on the skin due to its high water content. The best part has to be the fact that this completely blends into the skin without any white cast. ( regardless of skin color/tone). The formula  sits well under makeup. This smells like Cica. The scent is mild and very less noticeable

I recently noticed that the back and the front of the neck are two different color due to sun burn so I started slathering sunblock on my neck too. Thought the color has not become even completely its not as tan as it used to before.  Physical sunscreens are notoriously known for their thick stiff texture which mattifies the skin and clog pores. But Purito has truly redefined the whole concept of physical sunscreen and really busted all the myths surrounding sunscreen. This doesnot clog pores. It can easily be removed with double cleansing, zero white cast. Posses moisturizing qualities which makes this also work as a makeup primer  and most importantly does not clog pores

I am totally overwhelmed by this sunscreen. I have without any doubt found my holy grail sunscreen. You can find PURITO Comfy Water Sunblock here

[Review] PURITO Pure Vitamin C Serum

I reviewed an older version of serum back in 2017 and loved this because of the drastic changes it made to my complexion. I have used a lot of vitamin C serums but none of them has changed my skin as much as this serum. I am so glad that purito made no changes to the origainal formula

Features
The balance of the natural ingredient in this serum makes it safe and suitable for all skin types even oily and acne-prone skin. This serum's ingredients include Ascobic acid, adenosine and White flowers complex which help sothe and smooth blemishes, acne. It minimizes pore size, brightens skin, lessens dark circles and puffiness under the eyes, and fades acne scars

Purito recently recently made changes to the packaging of its products and this serum is one of them. Compared to the previous design packaging PURITO Pure Vitamin C Serum feels a lot more sturdier and aesthetically pleasing plus the pump is better. I can totally control the amount I want plus its leak proof. As you can see the tinted bottle prevents vitamin C from oxiding fast.  Purito has used recycled material to create the outer box and has printed details regarding the product inside as well as outside.

This contains a blend of 10% Vitamin C mixed in a base of 84% Hyaluronic Acid. This smells like vitamin C serum. The scent is relatively stronger than other serums but I believe that is because of higher percentage of vitamin C in this serum

The texture of this is like water its runny but with a bit of viscosity. Right now this serum is almost transparent ( a little bit of straw color tint ) . This spreads easily and absorb easily as well without any tacky residue. (Depends on how much you use). For me 1 pump is enough to cover the whole face.

Something worth mentioning about this serum is that this makes skin tingle and warm on first use. ( my face became red the first time ) but after a couple of uses the skin adjusts to this serum and no irritation occurs after that.

This has visibly lightened my acne scar. The viatmin C has also helped to heal my skin ( boost collagen ). My skin feels so soft after use. I have been using this in my night time routine and I can see the difference in my skin even though I have been using this for a little time. This has also helped me with my dark circles.

My friend tried this serum one night just out of curiosity and loved the results so much that she immediately ordered a bottle for herself the next day.

This serum is a 10 free formula so its perfect for everyone. The ingredient list is free from silicon, parabens and is marked safe (EWG green level ingredients). Moreover its vegan and products are not tested on animals so those of you who are looking for replacing your skincare with something thats animal cruelty free and vegan should consider this

PURITO Pure Vitamin C Serum is available at Jolse. I think this is one Vitamin C serum that everyone must try .

PURITO DEFENSE BARRIER pH Cleanser Review

When I first started out with skincare the face cleanser I used was very alkaline, it damaged my skin barrier which led to breakouts

Today skincare brands are aware about the importance of maintaining skin pH
I am reviewing a very gentle pH 5.5 cleanser by a brand no other than Purito.
A combination of botanical extracts this is suitable for all skin types ( including sensitive skin)
Purito is a 10 free brand so its free from artificial fragrances, SLS, and parabens.

Packaging

It comes in a white squeeze tube. the packaging is well made and the combination of white and blue looks so serene and calm. This holds 120 ml of product in it.

Ingredients:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexaanediol, citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Centella Asiatica Extact, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Royal Jelly Extract, Eithylhexylglycerin, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA

this cleanser has a somewhat runny gel like texture. It foams up easily on contact with water and forms medium sized bubbles/foam. Since the consistency is like water I recommend squeezing some cleanser on   the palm of your hand  to create foam then applying it to your face. The scent is herbal, with a slight bitter note to it. I personally prefer herbal scent more as compared to artificial ones
This does a great job of removing dirt and sebum off the face, it doesn't leaves ''the dry, squeaky clean'' feel after washing nor does it leaves the skin feeling parched like some cleansers do.
It also removes makeup from the face, minus stubborn mascara and some flaky bits of liquid lipstick which has settled into the crevices on my lips
Personally like all the purito products I have tried, this is equally good. Purito has once again done a great job creating a great cleanser at such an amazing price

Purito ABP Triple Synergy Liquid

So I tested this product out for over three weeks and I am ready to express my thoughts. I use chemical exfoliants regularly in my skin care routine. So I have a sound understanding of how they work ( at least I believe I do 😸)

Purito is by far one of favourite skincare brands. All the products that I have tried from then have impressed me immensely. The honest ingredients are great for skin. I will forever be a fan of their Vitamin C serum. Its the best Vitamin C serum I have ever tried. I highly recommend you to give it a try. The results are instant

Now onto the review.......

The packaging is standard plastic bottle with a pump. The product is actually a cocktail of AHA BHA and PHA. For some you this packaging might be familiar but let me clarify this here. This product is very different in terms of formulation, consistency and the ingredients list.

Speaking of ingredient list, this whole combination  might ring alarm bells for some you. But let me assure you that this product is very gentle. It has mandelic acid for exfoliation, Salicylic acid for acne, and gluconolactone to maintain skin barrier. All mixed in apple fruit water for moisturizing skin. (Sounds like I am sharing a recipe , hehe)

The texture is what made me fall in love with this product. It has a very water like texture which absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy/tacky residue behind. The light weight formula is great for humid weather when you dont want anything thick suffocating your pores. My prefered way of application is to pat with my fingers every other day at night after cleansing.

During my 3 weeks of use my skin texture looks smooth, sebum production has reduced and my pores are a little small. I honestly prefer this more over my other similar AHA /BHA products and would recommend it to all skin types. The 160 ml bottle has enough product to last me almost an year. I use active products every second day or after every two days so that I don't end up damaging my skin barrier. Even though this is gentle I like to stick to my rule. Its better to be safe than sorry right.

Do try out this product. Its worth every penny. Incase you are interested to know more or want to purchase this you can find this at ebay link , yesstyle link, beauty tap link and check out about ingredients safety on cosdna here
