I am sure many of you know about the brand ''The Ordinary '' and how they have been making skincare products affordable for the masses. The best thing about the brand is that they thoroughly educate the consumers about each and every ingredient and even create customised skincare routines for everyone
I am sharing I month post usage impression . For reference I have oily/dehydrated acne prone skin. I get a lot of blackheads on my nose and chin area and the area around my nose and cheek tends to get flaky/textured if I don't exfoliate it regularly
I ran out of my mandelic acid solution last month so I wanted to try something new. I have been seeing this solution every where , I also saw a few posts on Twitter warning about counterfeit The Ordinary products so I bought this from theskinmaskuerade because I know they don't sell / promote counterfeit products
This is not my first time using chemical exfoliant. Previously I have use mandelic acid and 8% lactic acid solutions. I ave also used mild acidic toners and BHA essence so my skin was pretty tolerant to this concentration of AHA and BHA and handled this quite well.
I use this twice a week. I apply this at night for 5-8 minutes. I does tingles a little on some area on my face but after a few second the tingling subsides. This solution gets its red color from pepper berry extracts so it looks almost like blood. The scent is mild . This gloopy solution is hard to apply evenly so some areas on the face have more product on it then the rest
The results are instant. As soon as I wash this off my skin feels smooth and soft. This also contains BHA which helps with pores so far I haven't noticed any significant difference but some of my old acne scars have cleared up
I follow up with a my usual skincare routine at night and apply a generous layer of sunscreen on my face in the morning to prevent sunburn
If you are considering about trying this I would advice you start with a less concentration AHA first and then move on to a stronger concentration
