Makeup Revolution mono eyeshadow in shade Blow your whistle

i have been very impressed with the makeup revolution seriously most of the things that i have tried so far are good except for the eyeliner which had such a hard scratchy brush

makeup revolution has a lot of shades in the mono eye-shadow collection ranging from nudes to neon ,shimmer to metallics

now purple is my favorite color so when i spotted this on daraz i added it to my cart without a second thought

about the product:

i will be very honest with you guys, i had a lot of expectations with this particular shade since it looked so vibrant and neon in the pan but i was a tad bit disappointed when i swatched it because the color pay off was not as pigmented as i hoped it would be but  a wet eyeshadow brush solved that problem

the color as you can see is a beautiful royal neon purple. its a bit chalky but the fall out is not too noticeable i applied it on my eyelid over an eye primer and it stayed well

for the price its not that bad of a product

should you purchase it? umm well on its own this eye-shadow is a  bit lacking but when used over a base or eye primer it works well and looks very beautiful ,if you are new to makeup then is for you

my year 2015 favorites

Makeup

Face

I enjoyed using the the matte effect foundation by Makeup Revolution all year due to the natural coverage it provided and the light formula

I also liked the pro base primer by MUA

Marshmallowby MUA  still remains my favorite blush this year

Lips

This year I embraced the nude lips trend. most of the lipsticks I purchased were either mlbb or nude shade

My favorite liplner has to be by essence as it can be worn alone or under any lipstick/ lipgloss (read review here)

For lipsticks in the flesh by wet n wild, treat by makeup revolution and rendezvousby MUA were the most worn lipsticks

Eyes

 the heaven and earth palette by MUA was the best eyeshadow palette i tried this year.when it comes to my oily lids eyeshadow pencil by jordana was the perfect choice

the i love extreme volume mascara by essence still remains to be my fav mascara this year 

circle lens 

i reviewed a lot of circle lens in year 2015, it was fun trying them 

i was very hard to decide which one was my favorite as all are vibrant and very comfortable however i particularly liked the review choco circle lens for every day wear and t top lens in ice blue for formal occassions

Makeup revolution iconic pro lipstick in looking ahead

I have been feeling really down lately, so it’s quite hard to write down a blog post when one is feeling so unmotivated

These lipsticks have been quite rage in the blogging community so when these became available in Pakistan I bought one for myself, approximately two months ago and I have been using it ever since

Price : £2.49 or 395 pkr

Quantity : 3.8 g

Packaging:

This look very exactly like M.A.C lipstick , now I don’t happen to own a single lipstick by M.A.C but from the pictures I have seen on other blogs they are similar the only difference being that they are rose gold instead of silver

The packaging is not quite sturdy but for the price you cant really complain

About the product 

This is by far the creamiest lipstick I have tried.it smells strongly of vitamin E but once the lipstick is applied on the lips the smell gradually becomes less noticeable. My lipstick unfortunately arrived broken (looks wobbly in the picture) but I fixed it using a cigarette lighter 

Looking ahead is a brown shade lipstick with red undertones, for some odd reason it translates greyish brown on my lips (weird right???) so for me its not an easy shade to pull off with every colored dress

It is very pigmented once swipe gives off a decent amount of color to the lips however lasting power is not that good it stays on my lips for about 2-3 hours maximum without eating or drinking .  it leaves a plumy brown colored tint on my lips after the lipstick has worn off

I might purchase a couple of other shades from the range

Makeup revolution mono eyeshadow in shade “Finally”

When starting out with makeup its quite wise to purchase a eyeshadow palette as you get a lot of colors in a palette but sometimes   purchasing certain shades individually is good particularly when you know you are going to use it a lot

Packaging:

Very similar to MUA powder blushes, a rectangular pan with a transparent lid

About the product:

It is a gorgeous shimmery champagne color, it has a pearl finish. The texture is very butter-y, soft and very easy to blend I didn’t notice any fall out when applying this on my eyes. The pigmentation is pretty impressive

My thoughts:

 this is actually the  very first eyeshadow I purchased for myself. I found it to be a multitasking product as it can be used all over the eyelid or to highlight the inner corner of the eyes and can be used to highlight the bridge of the nose and high points of the cheek bones

I totally recommend purchasing this mono eyeshadow

August Haul post:

I know I am a bit late on posting all the beauty related stuff I bought in august but my hectic routine and upcoming papers are to be blamed

I am going a crazy lately buying makeup even though my new year resolution was to buy less makeup this year. But then there were some deals going on that I couldn't resist and I had to try the so much hyped up dry shampoo by batiste

p.s I went overboard buying MUA stuff 

an array of blushes to try and some  eyeshadow palettes , felt my shopping wouldn’t be complete if I bought a couple of lipsticks and then the newly laucnched iconic pro lipstick by makeup revolution and the eyeshadow pencils by jordana
