My Favorite Makeup and Skincare Products of Year 2016

I know i am quite late to post my last year favourites but as they say better late than never so without further explanation here it is "My year 2016 favorite products"
Drumroll ☺

 Face

I am currently rotating two foundations in my makeup routine but the one which I particularly Enjoyed using was  this past year was holika holika sweet cotton bb cream. Its light in weight, smells like cotton candy and has very natural finish

Blush 

: MUA blush in Marshmallow  My fondness for this blush remains strong and I haven't found any blush which can replace this gem

Makeup Revolution matte effect concealer: this yellow based concealer is creamy and does not accentuates dry under eye area

Lips:

 Clazona matte Lipgloss
The local dupe of colorpop matte liquid lipsticks. Amazing lasting power and great pigmentation

Mua lip trio in temptress : I really like the balm like texture of the lipsticks and how one could create a sheer to very defined pout with these. Definitely one of most used makeup product of 2016

Eye shadow: the mos beautiful earth toned eyeshadow palette by MUA in shade Heaven and Earth

Eyeliner:
 Essence dip eyeliner  is by far the best liquid liner I have ever used. The felt dip is so soft and sturdy to line up the eyes. Its not waterproof but I like the formula

Mascara:
Essence Get Big Lashes

Gives the best volume  and length ever to the lashes I haven't found any other last which could perform as great as this mascara

Eyebrows :
 Sweet touch eyeliner pencil. This is long lasting pencil eyeliner which I use to fill in my eye brows. It does the job well and gives subtle definition to my eyes 👀

MUA pro base eye primer

and  Maybelline colossal kajal in turquoise 

for days when you want a little drama, this twist up eyeliner is the best option.

Face wash:

Duvi Stockholm green tea face wash 

I really enjoyed using this face wash all year long. It smells so good, lather well and cleansed skin without over drying it

Facemask:
 Sheet mask cracare best ever 

Of all the Korean sheet masks I used last year. This one without any doubt was the best. I moisturized my face well, didn't break out my skin. Brightened my complexion and smell nice too

Freeman oatmeal mask : To battle off my oily skin I used this mud mask. It performs quite well and reduces my pores appearance
 also kept the oil production under control too

 Face moisturizer :

 Oriflame tea tree

Having an over active skin which keeps on producing frightful amount of oil I rarely use moisturizer as it means clogged pores and comedones but this moisturizer gets absorbed into the skin immediately without leaving any. Sticky or oily residue behind

Circle lens :
Diamond green lens

Very vibrant. The design is beautiful and very comfortable to wear.
So these are all the products I enjoyed using last year

Haul post: 1st haul of year 2017

hi
despite the fact that i made a resolution to spend less money on cosmetics and other stuff i caved in to temptation and ended up buying a lot of stuff this month ,

so here it is the the very first haul of year 2017

i purchased  this amazing mascara by essence for 450 Pkr and the very hyped up la girl hd pro concealer in porcelain  for Pkr 550 so far so good i will be testing these products out for  a week to write down a final verdict on their performance

i bought another clazona matte lipgloss this time in the shade 514, its  a beautiful cool red looks absolutely gorgeous, i know i don't wear red lipstik but i intend to create a gradient lipcolor with this matte lipgloss. the shopkeeper charged me 250 Pkr for this matte lipgloss this time

the highlight of this post is definitely this beautiful choker i purchased from a stall. i really like the contrast of red and green beads paired with the sparkling rhinestone and gold details, now i have to wait for a event to wear it to , lol

i bought this wispies type eyelashes from artimatic for Pkr 80 and they do look fluttery and feminine

also i purchased this garnier eye makeup remover and  round cotton makeup removing pads. i actually sent my brother to buy me the clear big bottle of garnier mi-cellar water but he accidentally bought this one for Pkr 300 and the makeup removing cotton pads for Pkr 100

Essence Get Big Lashes volume curl Mascara

welcome to my blog 

my recent growing obsession has to be mascara, i just love the look of thick voluminous black lashes
since mascara come with the shortest life span i like to try drugstore mascara.

essence has a vast range of mascaras having fancy, cute and bright packaging, even the brushes are designed with absolute care

Essence Get Big Lashes volume curl mascara is one of the recent addition to the range, 

so lets get into the review shall we???

Quantity:12 ml 

Price: 430 pkr 

Packaging:

its a very vibrant red fat tube and has a ''e''  printed on top of it. the wand is medium sized and has a very fat brush on the end which is curved from on side 

About the product:

the formula of this mascara is very wet and runny. i guess it will thicken  and dry up  a little bit after some time.  due to its large brush its a bit trick to use this mascara as i am afraid that i might smudge it on my face or lid.

the curled part of the brush is perfect to lift up the lashes giving them a nice curl. these lashes give good volume to my lashes but not too much lenght which is ok with me as i always look for volumizing mascara. this mascara does not has any noticeable scent .

one thing i noticed when removing this mascara is that its not easily washable. i know this not waterproof mascara but the formula is a bit stubborn to remove with just soap and water 

overall i like this mascara, which mascara is your favorite???

MUA mascara shade 6

hello again,

today i will reviewing a very colorful mascara that is something i would rarely use since i wear more  of a neutral makeup but then it looked so vibrant that i just couldn't resist

Packaging:

its a simple electric blue tube same as the  shade of mascara has a very long wand and an average brush 

this mascara has the most weirdest texture i have ever used. it has  cotton fibers like fibers in it for giving volume and length i suppose. the color of the mascara is a vibrant electric blue

i have found another way to use this mascara that is by applying a coat of black mascara on top of this mascara gives thick false eyelashes like effect which is so pretty

for the price i think this mascara is  a bargain

Makeup

Face

I enjoyed using the the matte effect foundation by Makeup Revolution all year due to the natural coverage it provided and the light formula

I also liked the pro base primer by MUA

Marshmallowby MUA  still remains my favorite blush this year

Lips

This year I embraced the nude lips trend. most of the lipsticks I purchased were either mlbb or nude shade

My favorite liplner has to be by essence as it can be worn alone or under any lipstick/ lipgloss (read review here)

For lipsticks in the flesh by wet n wild, treat by makeup revolution and rendezvousby MUA were the most worn lipsticks

Eyes

 the heaven and earth palette by MUA was the best eyeshadow palette i tried this year.when it comes to my oily lids eyeshadow pencil by jordana was the perfect choice

the i love extreme volume mascara by essence still remains to be my fav mascara this year 

circle lens 

i reviewed a lot of circle lens in year 2015, it was fun trying them 

i was very hard to decide which one was my favorite as all are vibrant and very comfortable however i particularly liked the review choco circle lens for every day wear and t top lens in ice blue for formal occassions

Essence I love extreme volume mascara

I have long thin lashes so for the past few months I have been on a hunt for a good volumizing mascara. Since mascara has a very short shelf life I did not wanted to buy something too expensive.

 This mascara caught my eye when I stopped by the essence makeup stand so I purchased this cutie praying it would live up to all that it claims on the packaging

Quantity: 12ml

Packaging:

It has such a fun purple color fat tube. I really like how it stands out in my makeup bag

The wand is long and has a fat brush with tiny rubber bristles

One thing which I disliked about the essence products is that they are not sealed which means anyone can just open it swatch it, well hello bacteria and dried out product!!!

About the product:

The formula is dry unlike the Maybelline mascara which is quite wet. This mascara is not waterproof and can be removed easily with soap and water it has a faint scent (which I can’t detect) which vanishes after application 

The short bristles grab each lash and dump decent  amount of product on them however too many coats of this mascara can make the eyelashes look clumpy

My opinion:

it adheres to the lashes well and gives them volume and dramatic length when I wore this to a family occasion everyone thought I was wearing false eyelashes lol. For the price this is a great volumizing and lengthening mascara

I did not experienced any smudging nor flaking for 8hrs while wearing this mascara

I am not a mascara person because I have super sensitive eyelashes, any attempt of curling or making them appear beautiful results in eyelash fall (if it makes any sense).this  is actually the first mascara which has not harmed my eyelashes in any way or irritate my eyes

PRICE: pkr 450( i got it at a discount so it cost me 425)

SHADE: blackest  black

What  Maybeline claims about it:

Great big brush plus volume- building formula gives great big lashes

PACKAGING: this is the best  part. The packaging is so adorable it’s a very eye catching pink bottle with a pretty green cap. This looks so pretty standing upright on my dresser. so cute

My thoughts:

I really love this mascara. The formula is not runny but creamy and dries off fast on my eyelashes. it does not has any scent to it and is very black. It makes my eyelashes appear long and gives volume to it(not too much volume). Its perfect for every day look as it does not gives a dramatized look to the lashes. its also easily removable.water proof formulas are such a pain when it comes to remove them from the eyes. I just wash it off with soap and water, but don’t be alarmed because it does not flake off at all. The brush was big(fat) as claimed by Maybelline. I had a little trouble with it in the beginning but if you are good at applying mascara then it won’t be hard for you. The bristles on the brush prevent clumping and separate each lash so they look natural not like spider legs J.

Overall I am quite satisfied with the product and will repurchase it in future

Staying power: I wore this for 8 hours and trust me it was still there (cool right).
