[Review] MOONSHOT Honey Coverlet Eyeshadow Palette

Share it Please
This is Moonshot's most recent celebrity collaboration with none other than Yoo In Na.

The Honey Coverlet has an two pretty rosy nude lipsticks, an eyeshadow, palette and a serum foundation.
Since I have small hooded eyes I prefer matte eyeshadows over shimmery and glittery ones. Generally speaking matte eyeshadows are actually everyone's cup of tea because they work great as a base, as a transition shade to blend multiple colors and for an everyday eye makeup look.

Starting with the packaging the palette has a plastic case which oddly feels soft like velvet.  The casing is neutral/camel/sand in color which is a little hard to photograph but it looks so pretty in person. The palette is small (I mean really small) but it has a nice mirror and a very cute leaves printed plastic cover to protect the eyeshadow. I love the fact that Moonshot skipped adding small sponge tip applicators/or tiny useless brushes to the palette ( like seriously who uses them ??? )

The shade names are printed on the back of the box. They have also printed a small guide on how to mix and match colors to create different eye makeup looks.

Out of the 10 shades there are  2 shimmery shades (top row) a Sweet candle (a very subtle champagne pink color) and Firewood (a russet/ copper red color ). The rest of the  8 shades are completely matte.

The shimmery shades are very pigmented and have loads of micro glitter to add bling to any eye makeup look. The matte shades are very soft and non chalky. They blend nicely and the colors are very basic so you can wear them to work or college. some light shades match my skin color so they dont show up as pigmented as the rest but I still like them for a no makeup , makeup look . To get a very defined color payoff you might have to dip the brush a little firmly so more pigment sticks to the bristles

Soft Pillow is a matte white shade great colpr to set eye primer with

Warm Cashmere is a perfect match for my skin. It looks extractly like my lid color.

Cinnamon Milk Tea. The name fits the shade nicely it is indeed a light milk tea color

Nutty brown: this resembles chocolate milk in terms of color . I find this a great shade tp define my crease.

Cream Tan: another nude color , this looks pretty on its own as an eyelid color.

Antique Rug: is a pink brown color it looks pretty and blends nicely with other shades

Dusty Rose: a perfect representation of rose color this looks beautful and makes the eyes look more lively

Rustic chair: I am so happy that moonshot addded a dark brown color instead of a black because this color makes the eye makeup look more dreamy and soft.

All in one I find this to be an essential palette for anyone who loves eyeshadow because the colors are basic and neutral. The price is actually higher than usually korean eyeshadow palettes but matte eyeshadow are actually hard to formulate plus this is a celebrity endorsed product so its pricer than usual makeup products.  I do see myself using thing on trips/travel in future because its very compact and contains all the shades that I love.  Though these are specially formulated for fall/winter I find the colors perfect for all year long
